Big Bird Says "STOP!"
Big Bird Puts The Peck On Obama!
Poor Big Bird the misunderstood welfare queen. What I find pathetic is that Obama is down on the level of triviality he has stooped to to appeal to the ignorant among us. No one wants to kill Big Bird we just need to stop helping to buy the bird seed that 8'2" critter eats. Talk about small ball politics, Obama has hit that level squarely with his nonsensical rhetoric. When you have no record to run on this is where things sometimes end up.
The producers of Sesame Street and PBS itself have asked Obama to knock it off. His campaign managers say they won't because Romney's statement is "fair game." It's fair game for the minds of children but beyond that... Obama wants to be anywhere but on message. He wants to be the Comedian-In-Chief and get the big laugh which he thinks will get him the big vote on November 6th. What a rube and I just read today on a question how people aren't showing respect for the President. With his conduct right now you're damned right he isn't earning respect. Most of us respect the office but obviously Obama does not. it's pathetic that he can't suffer an ass whuppin' with a bit of dignity as other Presidents have.
"I'm Barack Obama And I Approve This Message"
Notice that Barack Hussein Obama approved such a trivial, nonsensical ad himself. That is the best he can do coming off the shellacking he was administered during the first debate? That and his little minions crying, "He lied. He lied. He lied." As a writer, I had to put up with that nonsense during the 2008 campaign and am accused of that during this campaign. It's the liberal way of denying FACTS.
There is absolutely no parallel between Big Bird, Romney and Wall Street. What a total distraction from discussing what should be being discussed - Obama's failed economic policies, his failed foreign policy and his general failure to produce on all those promises you koolaid drinkers supped on during his 2008 campaign. What should have started out as a joke, which it was, has been amplified across the Lame Stream Media into a serious charge. PBS is backing away from Obama's nonsense and isn't appreciative of his "approval" of any such message.
Sherrie Westin, vice president of Sesame Workshop has the explanation in prospective, “The Sesame Workshop receives very, very little funding from PBS. So we are able to raise our funding through philanthropic, through our licensed product, which goes back into the educational programming, through corporate underwriting and sponsorship. So quite frankly, you know, you can debate whether or not there should be funding of Public Broadcasting but when they always sort of tout out Big Bird and say we're going to kill Big Bird; that actually is misleading because ‘Sesame Street’ will be here.”

Listen up Lefties. Even your rag, The Huffington Post, admits that Big Bird would be in no danger if PBS doesn't receive its government subsidy. Why? Try this on for size. Big Bird and his pals are big business. "Really?" asks the uninformed liberal. Sesame Street struck it rich last year making $46.9 million just from the licensing agreements for Big Birds and his pals. Take that on the old kisser Occupy Movement. The Huff and Puff analysts estimate that Fisher-Price generated a revenue stream between $70-$75 million last year. Is Big Bird paying her fair share?
So Big Bird seems to be safe even if the subsidy to PBS is cut. What a crock of horse manure Obama wants you to look at while the rest of us are looking at his failed job performance. Big Bird is a success and Obama is a failure. Go figure. In truth the annual federal subsidiy amounts to 8% of the PBS budget. It can easily make up that money from the caring liberals who seem to be squawking their heads off as you don't hear a "cheep" from Big Bird.
If we can't cut corporate welfare and that is what the PBS subsidy is, where can we start the cuts? Big Bird doesn't want to be a welfare queen, and looking at the figures above she doesn't need to be. Long live Big Bird so lets get back to what we should be discussing. Hey Obama! Sesame Street just asked that you cease and desist. Are you smart enough to listen? I think not.
It's The Economy Stupid!
QUOTE OF THE DAY FROM SESAME STREET: "We have approved no campaign ads, and as is our general practice, have requested that the ad be taken down." But, but, but... Obama said he approved that message?
