Lady is at the Table

Good Morning, Breakfastpoppers. Today is Thursday, May 28, 2015. Our delightful friend, Ladybug, is with me at the breakfast table. She has prepared a delicious assortment of freshly baked waffles for your enjoyment. I will be brewing enough Irish coffees to satisfy one and all. Lady has asked me to extend an invitation to all the Poppers this morning. She is concerned about the influence the schools are having over our children. The Left has taken over the curriculum at every level and we are graduating idiots who believe ISIS is a brand of sherbet. Lady and I are anxiously awaiting your arrival.

Gender Fluidity

Thank you all for joining me this morning. What I am about to share with you is a perfect example of the dumbing down of America. I didn't think we could be any dumber, but apparently I was wrong. The Fairfax County Public Schools are preparing changes to their family life curriculum for grades 7 through 12. The gist of the change is that students are going to be taught that there is no such thing as 100 percent boys or 100 percent girls. We can be both genders, or no gender or half a gender or any gender at all. Ah, life is good! Students in middle school will be learning about transgenderism. Tenth graders will be studying the concept of sexuality in a much broader way than your momma and poppa ever told you. Get ready for a new dictionary of words describing every sexual orientation. The students will be introduced to heterosexuality, homosexuality, bisexuality and transgenderism, The kids will be taught that one's sexual orientation develops over a lifetime. I suppose the message is this. If at 12 you think you are a heterosexual, don't be alarmed when at 21 you discover you are bisexual or homosexual or asexual or any combination of all of the above. If you aren't confused by now, you should be!

White Privilege is the Problem

Teachers are being trained to accept different behaviors in minority students because these kids have radically different cultural values. White kids are taught to be on time. Minority kids are taught that it is okay to be tardy. Absence from school is acceptable in minority students, not so for white kids. Are you starting to get the drift? Teachers are encouraged to be flexible with students who are late to class, absent, loud or undisciplined. It's just their way of doing things and nothing more. Of course, if you are white, a visit to the principal or worse is definitely in order. White culture is based upon "white individualism" consisting of such boring traits as adhering to time schedules or planning for the future and the ridiculous idea that hard work is the key to success. It has been suggested by those who believe in this garbage that it might be better to separate the races. It looks like segregation is coming back into vogue. "White privilege" is the culprit here. The tendency for white kids to show up on time is hurting minority students because being on time is a foreign concept. My head is beginning to spin, so I think it's time to move on.

Reinforcing Bias

Middle and high-school students in Massachusetts are being brainwashed to adopt a pro- Palestinian bias and an anti-Israel stance. The agenda is part of the troubling Common Core Program. The lessons teach that Hamas and Fatah promote more peaceful means than intifada. If you think Hamas is a terrorist group, you are wrong! Hamas is a political party, silly. Hamas is no different than the Labor and Likud parties in Israel. This particular lesson plan is going to be taught nationwide. By the time these students graduate, they will be full-fledged Israel haters. Is it any wonder that anti-Semitism is rising at an alarming rate on college campuses? By the time this group of students goes through college, we will be a nation totally united against Israel. Something ugly is happening in America and stopping it is going to be very difficult, if not impossible.

Government Overreach

The federal government is making yet another attempt to take over your children. After all, they and not you, the parents, know what is best. Obama's Education Secretary Arne Duncan, has called for the establishment of government boarding schools. In his strange view, there are certain kids who the government should have 24/7. I don't know about you, but I am scared. Even scarier is Duncan's appreciation for the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization. He sees partnering with UNESCO as a golden opportunity to transform children into what he calls "green citizens." I think it is more accurate to call them brainwashed citizens or government clones. If alarm bells aren't sounding off in your ears, they should be. Actually, Duncan should relax a little. By the time our nation's kids graduate from high school or college, they will be perfect little robots incapable of rational thinking. It will be a fine day for Marxists here and around the world.

Lady's Song

She likes the free fresh

Truth in the air

She has no patience for loons who don't care

That's why the Lady is no tramp!
