Object of Leftist Media Slander, Nicholas Sandmann

Source

At Least the Media Outlets of Nazi Germany had to be Threatened to Tell Lies

During the 12 year reign of the tyrant, Adolf Hitler, the press of Germany had to be threatened, bullied, and terrorized into submission. This is not the case with the banded arm of the left-wing-media in my own beloved country (the United States). Germany's news outlets of the 1930s-1940s were compelled by propaganda minister, the nefarious Dr. Joseph Goebbels, to slander and malign any who dared to step out of line with the "odious Nazi apparatus" so labeled by that great lover of freedom, Sir Winston Churchill. The media in America has needed no such coercive tactics to slander, smear, and besmirch innocent, albeit out-of-step conservatives. They do it for free. Like a prostitute who requires no payment for services rendered the liberal media performs its services for nothing; nothing perhaps except the satisfaction of insulting those with whom they disagree.

* Allow me a brief digression: I would like to take a moment to apologize to any prostitutes I may have offended by comparing them to leftist journalists.

The Story in a Nutshell

I think most readers already know the meat and potatoes of this story, but for those who do not- a brief re-cap:

A group of students from a Catholic high school in Kentucky, some sporting the popular "Make America Great Again" (MAGA) hats, journeyed over to D.C. to participate in the Right to Life March. While mulling about waiting for a bus, chatting and what not, a Native American man wandered into the student's group and began beating his drum, no I do not mean that metaphorically, he was literally beating a drum, to disrupt the student gathering. One student, in particular, Nicholas Sandmann, stood politely smiling at the drum beater. Photos and video were taken of the incident, then edited to make it appear as though the students had approached the Native American and were mocking him. "Super intelligent" ( Yes, the quotation marks mean what you think they mean) celebrities like Kathy Griffin, Chris Evans, and Ed Asner were quick to condemn an innocent 16-year-old kid. Alleged journalist and sissified metrosexual, Reza Aslan referred to Sandmann in a tweet; "have you ever seen a more punchable face?" Now, I think its safe to say that the only thing Aslan has ever punched was his mani/pedi punch card (10th one is free!) and yet here he is encouraging others to assault a minor. Think I'm exaggerating? Consider this: The school was on lock-down today due to the arrival of a "suspicious package." The school, as well as family members of the students, have received death threats from peace-loving, tolerant leftists at the behest of celebrities like Evans, Griffin, and Reza. I expect childish behavior from celebrities, but having it compounded by journalistic quotation sans vetting or investigation of facts is sickening, and more importantly, dangerous. For a succinct, reasoned, and accurate revelation of what really happened I encourage readers to view the video below which features commentary from boy wonder Ben Shapiro (no quotations marks-he really is a boy wonder!) along with the unedited version of the footage.

Coverage of What Really Happened

Conclusion: CNN Featuring Lies from the Alleged Victim

Nathan Phillips, the Native American man who intruded on the students, was interviewed shortly after the event on the Clinton News Network where he unequivocally lied about his military service. He said he fought in Vietnam. I take particular exception to this statement as I work with lots of Vietnam vets and have many who are friends. I love listening to them share their experiences, when they're willing to talk about them, during the war. Their courage, their valor and faithfulness cannot be overstated. Their love for this country, this country that spat on them when they came home from foreign soil, compelled them to stay, to go to work, to forgive the hippie generation that shunned and shamed them. Nathan Phillips is not one of them. In lying about his military service he dealt yet another painful blow to real vets by associating himself with them. He is not worthy of their title or their company. What a disgrace it is that people who call themselves journalists would facilitate a venue for lies at the expense of our most unappreciated heroes. Shame on them for that.

What can we conclude from these torrid facts? Simply this: Stop watching CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS and NBC news outlets. They are playing their viewers for chumps and you should be outraged about it. As Denzel Washington once said, "If you don't read the papers you're uninformed. If you do read the papers you're misinformed." I love the quote and I think we can extend its application from the written to the spoken word. My advice? Tune in to FOX News. It's the best shot we got when it comes to accuracy and truth telling.

Vivian- You've hit the nail on the head. CNN may have issued a retraction, but the damage had already been done. The school the boys were from had to be closed due to a bomb threat and that action was a direct consequence of CNN and leftist celebrities. CNN did, in fact, issue a retraction, but was it after the families hired an attorney who issued a statement saying charges will be formerly pressed unless all who tweeted or posted lies was retracted? He gave them 48 hours to do so. Personally, I think 48 hours was 48 hours too much. The media, who uniformly boast of keeping our politicians and corporations accountable need badly to apply the same sentiment to their own practices. The non-monetary consequences they face daily is the loss of more viewers to FOX.

Yes, as usual, CNN jumped on the "destroy anyone wearing a MAGA hat" bandwagon to insinuate all Trump supporters are evil, racist, and bigoted before getting any of the facts. It doesn't matter if they changed the story the next day because the damage was already done. A half-hearted "oops" doesn't fix all of the lives they destroy with false reporting.

Doris: you’re right about one thing: I didn’t watch cnn the next day or the day after that or the next day either. I wrote an article about what they did the day they did it. Whatever they said the next day doesn’t change what they did the day before. A half hearted apology doesn’t change the fact that they unleashed a torrent of persecution on a group of innocent children. (They actually received death threats thanks to CNN coverage)

Finally, you apparently didn’t read my comment regarding prostitute payment practices in full. I finished by suggesting a comparative payment; ie the media accepting as payment the joy of insulting those with whom they disagree. There are always ways other than monetary to get paid.

      Thanks for reading and commenting.

Leland, apparently you didn't watch CNN the next day. They realized their mistake and came back and did a report that balanced out their original story. They gave Sandmann's side of the story and expressed their doubt about the validity of their first report.

I saw both sides of the happenings, and even as a trained journalist, it is difficult for me to form an opinion just from watching the videos and hearing the reports. I couldn't tell from the expression on Sandmann's face whether he was smirking or smiling. I will say that his eyes did not look unfriendly to me. Has anyone thought about the fact that he might just be expressing curiosity of Mr. Phillips actions.

BTW a prostitute who doesn't accept pay for services technically is not a prostitute under the definition. The phrase "engages in sexual activity for money (or payment)" accompanies all definitions.

Leland..... Dean is everything you have stated and more. He has an HP reputation as most of the looney libs do, only he goes further by creating chaos here on HP with his absolute nonsense. I'll provide you with a long list of names who can fill you in on some of his dishonesty . Actually, no one pays any attention to him due to his nasty behavior and more importantly, his blatant lies. He has this insane delusion that he's important, when in fact, he's not even relevant. This is your site so you may do as you please, but most people hit the delete the moment they see his name. He's a total waste of time & intelligence.

The truth is, Dean is quite childlike as he runs to HP, crying & stomping his feet that members are harassing, insulting and/or upsetting his precious self......Boo Hoo.....& has caused grief~~even UNFAIR banning~~ for some of our fellow-writers. ....when it's crystal clear he causes his own grief. He's been noted as one of the top ten trouble-makers to simply AVOID.

We're proud of you for how well you handled him. I have read every single news report on this incident and your report is 100% accurate. God Bless you.

"Those vested" indeed. YOU are one of those vested in ideology, my friend. If you fail to appreciate the fact that CNN facilitated the lies of Nathan Phillips who said he was a Vietnam vet when he wasn't, you're blind. If you refuse to acknowledge the fact that Sandmann is a kid from a Catholic school who was there to participate in the March for Life and not start a racial conflict, you're blind. If you think radicalized leftists have the right to wear vagina hats but teenagers can't wear MAGA hats, you're a double talking, double standard fascist...oh yeah, and you're blind. Finally, Dean, if you want to leave a comment or remark on my page make it that. If you want to post 6 paragraphs of misinformation write a hub using the same content. Otherwise, keep your comments brief and pithy...like mine!

Leland, the story of what happened has changed due to more videos emerging. And it's increasingly not looking like some poor, fresh-faced kids were attacked for expressing their personal beliefs. First off, it appears that the the native american (Nathan Phillips) and his group was stepping in between the the students and a radical group of "Black Israelite". (btw, Phillips was there for another event meant to honor Native American Veterans, Phillips is a member). While many reports suggest that the Black Israelite group instigated the situation, the teens returned the favor with their own brand of taunts (including the chants they are clearly seen doing).

Phillips came in to diffuse the situation. That's when the boy, Nicholas, confronted him. He wore a smile, which looked like a smirk while his classmates surrounded Phillips and started laughing and chanting, too. They said it was their school song, others claim they were chanting "build the wall." Either way, many of them started doing the tomahawk chop at Phillips' group (a racial gesture). Video of this exists.

The Covington boys are not so innocent. More videos surfaced that revealed they were harassing others at the demonstration -- especially the females -- before this incident.

For his part, Phillips admits that he took the wrong approach, despite his good intentions. However, the boys don't come out of this as sweet little, misunderstood victims. If they were sweet and innocent, they wouldn't need a PR firm prepping them up for interviews with morning show.

Sure, there's plenty to blame to go around. However, what I'm not hearing from (and the ones who need to be held accountable) are the chaperones. This was a field trip, albeit to a demonstration with protesters and counter-protesters, and nearly every student had a MAGA hat (say what you want to say, but those hats have become sparks that can set flames in an environment they happened to be at). Didn't anyone point out to these kids that they were attracting attention and possibly confrontation (or was that the point of wearing them)? On top of that, shouldn't the chaperones have taken the action of getting the students out of harms way? Nope! nada... They allowed it to spiral out of control.

To make matters worse, I see some pundits on a particular radio show and cable news network that's not CNN have muddied the waters by spinning some ideological crap. As mentioned, as more video evidences come in, the more this story will evolve. At this point, however, those vested in their ideological belief who want this to be something else are only inflaming it.

Hi Leland, I heard Rush talking about this yesterday. He described how the elderly, decrepit, Native-American, Vietnam Vet, Nathan Phillips somehow managed to scoot pretty quickly in order to get in the face of this kid, as he continued to beat on his war drum.

Rush cracks me up with his style and delivery, so the image he presented, made me laugh out loud.

The liberal media will paint the picture they want America to see and then promote the heck out of it, no matter who gets hurt in the end and that... is no laughing matter!

Thank you for sharing this Leland. I think Denzel Washington's words were spot on. It is a disgrace the lies that the media spreads without even checking facts these days. It seems they take no responsibility for whether it is true or not. Unfortunately, their political agendas take precedence.

Hi Vivian: Thanks so much for sharing all your observations. I usually take a day or two to write an article, but I've been stewing on this one since it happened- plus I truly was motivated and inspired by your article of the same subject. My wife pointed out that the conclusion seemed to lack a distinct connection so I'm going to edit that a bit. Thanks again Vivian. I'm so glad we can bounce ideas back and forth!

What an eye-opener to compare the media of the Nazis being forced into propagating lies to the American media that does it willingly. Wow! I never made the connection. Bazinga! (As Sheldon would say from The Big Bang Theory, if you watch that). Funny digression about the prostitutes being compared to the leftists, LOL! Excellent use of an impressive vocabulary throughout the whole article. My dad is also a Vietnam vet, so yes, Phillips does not deserve to share the spotlight with our real heroes. Nice work!
