Democrats Will Stay Home for the 2018 Midterms, and Here Are the Reasons Why

I'm on the right side of politics and enjoy a good debate on government, the economy, common sense, and the rights of the people.

With less than a month until the 2018 Midterm elections, the political heat is getting hotter with each passing day. President Trump is touring the country, stumping for Republican candidates for Congress and the Senate. Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, former Attorney General Eric Holder, Michelle Obama, and several other members of the prior administration are doing the same to support Democratic candidates for those same offices. The rhetoric is nasty and the gloves have been off for a long time. The remaining days are sure to provide us with fireworks, accusations, gotcha moments, and an unhealthy dose of he-said, she-said. Basically, we have a front row to another chapter of American politics; 21st Century style.

Red Wave or Blue Wave?

If you ask a Democrat, there is a Blue Wave is coming this fall; one that will shift both the Senate and Congress to Democrat control and cripple the President’s agenda. If you had asked a Republican last month, they might have agreed that the Democrats had a strong chance at making their dreams a reality; that was until the events surrounding the Judge Kavanaugh confirmation. Since that event, the Republican base is energized in the same way they were leading up to President Trump’s victory over Mrs. Clinton. For the first time in a very long time, the GOP leadership refused to bow down to the demands of their Democratic opponents. Even with the number of allegations brought forward by the opposition, the President and Senate leadership stood behind their chosen candidate, who was ultimately confirmed by a razor-thin margin.

New polling data is being released daily; especially focused around races which are considered “toss-ups” or where a potential upset is brewing. Many people have long-since abandoned trusting any of the polls, but the pollsters continue to drive many of the narratives in the media. The generic ballot is seen by many as a decent indicator of how voters will cast their ballots and as of the moment, there is no clear dominant leader. This is significant and many GOP strategists point towards the data as very positive for their Party. The same type of polling just a few short months ago had the Democrats leading the GOP by a significant amount, across the board.

Make America Red

Accomplishments or Investigations?

Each Party has a specific agenda for what a Midterm win would mean. The Republicans are running on their current strengths and the accomplishments of President Trump. The Democrats are running on a platform which has investigating everything and anything associated with the President at its center. A recent article in the Huffington Post listed 52 proposed investigations the Democrats would pursue if they win control of the House of Representatives, which would effectively bring Washington to a grinding halt. The Mueller investigation would likely continue until the next Presidential election and they would almost certainly impeach the President. It is unlikely that they would have enough votes in the Senate to remove the President, but it will happen if the chance is there.

Many Will Stay Home Rather Than Vote Republican

In light of the current state of the nation, it is my belief that the Democrats will have poor turnout this fall. I expect Democrat voters to stay home due to the toxic platform their leadership is indicating they will pursue. There have also been multiple news stories about the #WalkAway campaign and claims that people are leaving the Democratic Party is droves, yet at this point there is no proof or any actual statistics to verify the stories. The President has improved many areas of the country, much to the chagrin of prior Presidents and other political leaders. Below are several topics which I believe will stop Democrat voters from making their semi-annual trip to the voting booth. Many of them have no interest in changing affiliations, but they are not blind to the good things that the President is doing and more importantly they can see that constant investigations do not help America.

Unemployment Continues to Drop

Source

The Economy is Doing Good with Long-Term Positive Outlook

The American economy is booming like it hasn’t boomed in decades. Unemployment figures for September, 2018 are 3.7% with black unemployment at 6.0% and Hispanic unemployment at 4.5%. Labor Force participation is at 62.7% as of the 5th of October. The President is enjoying these record-low numbers and credits much of it to deregulation and a huge tax cut. The media reluctantly reports on successes of the Trump administration, but this one-two punch is well-known to both Republican and Democrat voters. For the first time in a long time, people have optimism and extra money in their pockets. Democrat pundits are quick to jump in and try to give credit for the boom to former President Obama, but just like in the Kavanaugh hearings, they are unable to bring any evidence to the table to support their claims. To ice the cake, the Stock Market has been in record territory for a lengthy period of time under Trump.

Furthermore, the latest University of Michigan monthly survey of consumers indicated that confidence in the governments’ economic policies rose to its highest level in 15 years; primarily on Democrats taking a more favorable view than in the past. Richard Curtain, chief economist and survey administrator said in a statement: “When asked about the upcoming election and its potential impact on their own personal finances and on the overall economy, consumers more frequently cited Republicans than Democrats as having a positive effect, with margins of 35% versus 26% for the overall economy and 34% versus 24% for their own personal finances.”

Immigration Reform and the Closing of Loopholes

Another topic which the President has focused on is immigration; especially illegal immigration and refugee resettlement. It’s no secret that the Trump administration is an opponent of amnesty, the DACA program, and people being here illegally. He has supported a border wall between the United States and Mexico since his first days on the campaign trail and continues to feel that way today. He advocates for strong borders and a total modernization of the nation’s immigration laws to close loopholes in chain migration, anchor babies, and other areas. Many Americans have seen their jobs and livelihoods taken away at the hands of low-skilled illegals who work under the table. Industries such as construction, technology, and transportation are flooded with non-citizens; taking jobs away from taxpayers. These were mostly blue collar jobs, but ones that you could support a family on. President Trump puts American workers first and under his leadership ICE is once again empowered to arrest, deport and detain illegal workers. The Democrats are staunchly opposed to tightening the borders and instead are now advocating open borders where anyone can come to America.

Robert Mueller

The Mueller Investigation Wrapping Up

Since the 2016 Presidential election, the White House and the President have been under investigation about a possible Russian collusion into the election. Former FBI Director Robert Mueller has been at the helm of that probe and has made multiple arrests and indictments. None of them are connected to the President, although a few of his staff members were indicted for things they did prior to joining his campaign. The President’s personal lawyer was even indicted, but despite the pressure from the Mueller team, had no “dirt” to deliver. In his defense, the President has been consistent and continues to call the investigation a witch hunt. He’s refused to back down and it appears he is being vindicated now that the actions of the FBI and DOJ are being brought to the public. Nearly all of the top leadership of the FBI has been terminated in a cloud of shame or has resigned. Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein is currently avoiding turning over unredacted documents, which are considered to exonerate the President and at the same time point the finger at the same people who accused him; the Democrats and possibly former President Obama.

Currently the White House lawyers are preparing written answers to a series of questions from Mr. Mueller; a sign that the investigation is nearing an end. There are many Democrats who would like the President to have a face to face interview with the Mueller team, but from all outsiders viewpoints it would likely be a perjury trap. The Democrats certainly want the President subpoenaed, however that appears unlikely due to the lack of evidence against the chief executive. If this were to happen, the President’s lawyer has already prepared a strategy to go to the Supreme Court. There is an obvious cat-and-mouse game happening in Washington with the President dangling declassification of certain documents in front of Democrats and their obstructionist practices.

ANTIFA - Anti-First-Amendment Violence

Violence, False Accusations, and Sensationalism are Driving Away Traditional Voters

Some of the other issues which are evident across America will also keep Democrats at home this fall. The biggest issue is violence. The Left has not only supported the violent actions of groups like ANTIFA and Black Lives Matters, but encouraged it. From Portland to New York, radical groups of young Democrats are physically attacking, harassing, doxing, and threatening Republicans. GOP offices have been vandalized, several incidents of assault on people wearing MAGA clothing, and countless numbers of on-line threats and calls for the President to be assassinated are happening. False accusations of misconduct or sexual assault have been levied against many Republicans, with some of the worst being directed at Supreme Court Justice Kavanaugh during his confirmation process. Angry crowds of #MeToo activists are waging a one-sided war against white men and boys across the nation. These feminist groups are certainly free to demonstrate, but their message is being seen by mainstream America, both Democrat and Republican, as highly divisive and damaging to the Democrat brand. The fringe element of the Democratic Party isn’t doing the Party any favors and glorifying their attacks on Republicans isn’t a winning political tactic.

Trump's Heavy-Handed Foreign Policy is Working

Donald Trump was not expected to be strong when it came to foreign policy, but as with so many other things, the President proved his critics wrong. He’s notched huge victories with opening the door to negotiation and hopefully de-nuclearization of the Korean peninsula. He’s nearly wiped ISIS off the map and tensions in the Middle East are moderate. He’s renegotiated NAFTA in a way that benefits the three nations and at the same time has put China on the ropes with an aggressive tariff policy. He’s pulled America out of costly and ineffective Globalist programs and has even put NATO on notice that we are no longer footing the bill for the world. He is demonstrating to everyone what the leader of the free world does; and during all of it, the President never bows to foreign heads of state.

Trump v. Kim - Advantage Trump

Democratic Leadership is Growing Increasingly Toxic

The Democrat leadership is made up of dinosaurs, which are consumed with greed and power. The few newcomers are openly socialist or connected to nefarious backgrounds. Michael Avenatti, lawyer for porn star Stormy Daniels, is trying to become a Party Leader, however he’s considered too toxic for public office. His narcissistic tendencies and threatening tactics might work for him in a courtroom, but in the world of politics, he’s self-destructing and taking votes away from the Democrats. Twice defeated Hillary Clinton is once again on a speaking tour across the country stumping for Democrats. She still uses the same list of tired old anti-Trump statements that failed to work in 2016. Hollywood and the media are playing their role, but seem to not realize that America can see though them and their strategies. Union members are seeing the benefits of Trump’s job programs and they don’t want to rock the boat. There isn’t a single traditional power-base other than Planned Parenthood that can be counted on for full support this fall.

Trump Fighting for America

Trump's Accomplishments are Historic and Pro-American

President Trump’s accomplishments are overlooked or hidden by the mainstream media. It’s no secret that the President has feuded with many of the traditional news outlets, decrying them as partisan and fake, so he’s being treated harshly in return. However, regardless of what they choose to print of not to print, the administration has a lengthy list of successes on which to campaign. After only two years in office, the administration has added 3.5 million jobs, reduced taxes, rebuilt the military, and renegotiated NAFTA. More Americans are employed now than ever before in our history. Unemployment claims are at their lowest in 50 years. 85% of blue collar workers believe things are headed in the right direction. Median household income rose to $61,372 last year; a post-recession high. The administration has prioritized the fight against sex-trafficking and strengthened penalties for those who promote or facilitate prostitution.

What's at Stake for Republicans?

Moreover Republican voters are aware of what is at stake, which should drive their numbers up on Election Day. The President may not be the most popular person, but he is getting things done and people have a good outlook for the future. He’s doing things which benefit the entire nation and in doing so he’s following the Constitution. His agenda drives real progress and cements America’s position in the world. The Democrat platform, at least as told to us by Nancy Pelosi, is to smear your opponents with falsehoods, merchandise it, and then hand it off to the complicit media to report on. In a nutshell it’s an evil tactic meant on destroying good men and women just because they don’t goose-step to the Liberal mantra.

Summary

Democrats are faced with a dilemma is a few short weeks. They can stay home and continue to enjoy the positive impact of the Trump Presidency, or they can go vote for Republicans and help to ensure this prosperity continues, or they can vote Democrat and hope that their Party has a change of heart on the current platform. The latter means open borders, free healthcare for everyone (including illegals and non-citizens), an expansion of the failed Obamacare program, continued violence in the streets with Democrat Party support (sounds all to reminiscent of the Brown Shirts prior to World War II), an attempt to eliminate the Electoral College, ICE being disbanded, and the wholesale destruction of the Constitution. We are at a time in our nation’s history where doing the right thing is all that matters. We can continue to support the traditions and rule of law enjoyed by our Constitutional Republic or we can allow a handful of radicals to hijack our great nation and watch things circle the drain.
