Don't Give Up! There's a Better Tomorrow...
The recent economic slowdown has caused much financial instability in milliions of homes. We read many cases of suicide, agony, mental breakdowns and poverty as a direct impact, many broken relationships, disturbed homes and varied health problems as biproducts to this situation.
Probably, you are going through a similar time of trouble, heartbreak or difficult circumstance. Things would be better if you would just open up to accept a few facts and become bold enough to face the life ahead. Surely, there is a better tomorrow.
Circumstances are Not Forever
When we read the different stories from the history of different countries, we come across so many crisis situations - wars, plagues, famines, natural calamities, cruel people in authority, superstitions and so many other such evils. However, life goes on. These are just clouds passing by - sometimes even bringing a heavy downpour for several hours, even days, but then we wait for the sunshine which is sure to show out of those clouds.
Take, for instance, Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Life was washed out - every bit of it! When I compare the pictures of its olden days and today, the one difference that I see standing out is that all its old pictures are in black whereas all its new pictures are in classic colours. Always, life 'is' colourful - history is dark. Wait for those dark times to go back to history and look forward to a better future which will soon be your present.
When the Going Gets Tough...
When the going gets tough, the tough get going. If you faint in the day of adversity, how small is your strength! No person is created weak. You are made weak by your own attitudes. The weak ones are those who are scared to wait and see the end of the tunnel. They are afraid of little darkness. Impatient, they jump to make wrong decisions. Instead, it is advisable that in the day of adversity, one must consider or ponder. It is more necessary to ponder before making any moves during those days than on the other days. Ponder doesn't mean 'to worry'. Ponder just means to analyse and contemplate with a sound mind, with a spirit of power and of love. Those are the tough ones who ponder with such a sound mind at such adverse times.
Managing Your Life Better
You have probably made a mess of your life. Blame yourself? Every human being is capable of messing up with not only their own lives, but also with others'. Blame humanity? A normal human brain is faster and more efficient than the world's best supercomputer.
It's not the question of capability, but of making right choices. Who drives your decisions? Counsel. That's the keyword. Where there is no counsel, the people fall; But in the multitude of counselors there is safety. If you are tuned to listen to the counsel of worldly people around you or to the devil who comes only to steal and kill and destroy, then you make a mess of your life. Tune yourself to the wisdom of God, to listen to right counsel.
Lord Jesus Christ says, "I have come that you may have life, and that you may have it more abundantly." God says, "I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live." His desire is for us to choose the right thing and live. He is full of compassion. He knows your pain and that you are helpless. He is able and willing to help you. He is willing to work a miracle in your life to turn things upside down.
Just commit your life into His hands and wait for His plan for you to unfold before your eyes patiently. He will make all things beautiful in His time.
