Who's got serious credibility Issues

It is fairly safe to that at present, democratic officials tend to be more trustworthy and truthful than their counterparts within the GOP. But by no means am I saying that democrats or liberals are infallible to being deceitful and treacherous, they are after all only human.

I merely mentioned this as a precursor to the point I'm about to make. It seems to be an acceptable practice within the GOP / Tea Party that when one person says something outlandish to the media that is baseless and blatantly misleading, others within the GOP / Tea Party adopt it as a talking point for the party's platform.

My guess is that in their minds that if they all keep telling the same old blatantly misleading falsehoods long enough, that the American people are stupid or gullible enough to believe it's as a truthful fact. Case in point is this ridiculous notion that keeps popping up in the minds of some GOP Leaders, of impeaching President Obama for violating his oath of office as it pertains to the US Constitution.

Now any rational person would think that a guy who taught Constitutional Law to countless masses of law students, who would later became the 44th President of the United States would have a better than average grasp of the contents and provisions of law defined within the US Constitution.

For those of who have yet to be convinced that the trend I'm talking about is not just an allegation that I myself have made up, allow me to dig a little deeper. The US Senate passed a bipartisan Immigration Bill a little over a year ago, but House Republicans, specifically John Boehner refuses to even bring it to the floor of the House for an up or down vote. Yet the Tea Party / GOP wants to complain about the President's handling of the current immigration / humanitarian issue now happening at our border. Here's the cherry on top for the Tea Party / GOP, the law that President Obama is following was a unanimously bipartisan bill signed into law by George W. Bush.

I can continue to elaborate further on this double standard of hypocrisy being demonstrated by the GOP / Tea Party, but this latest stunt of theirs is by far the most over reaching to date. Threatening to sue President Obama for using his Executive Privilege to often, but the President said it best. The best remedy for that is not a frivolous lawsuit, instead for Congress to get to work and pass some bills or legislation that addresses the issues and that he'd be more than willing to work with them to get the job done or problems solved. In plain English he's asking them to do their JOBS!

No doubt about it there will forever be crooked politicians, regardless of their party affiliations. The temptation to lie, cheat, steal or manipulate the situation to their particular advantage is there, but their moral fabric hopefully will discourage them for doing the things they know to be wrong.

      Thanks for your comments

I will make this simple as I can state it, Congress gets to work and legislate the laws or at least come to the table to attempt to get things done and there's no need for the President to use Executive Orders.

      Thank You for your comments!

tsadjatko I don't delete comments, I welcome them as long as the discourse remains civil in tone, we can peacefully agree to agree or disagree on segments of my hubs I'm a big boy I can handle it. Case in point, I know that there shady politicians on all sides of the equation that aren't really that trustworthy no farther than my line of sight. But I get the facts from a multitude of sources before making an informed decision based on the facts before me! Thanks for your comments!

Yeah, I am surprised you haven't deleted my comment as is what usually happens when I comment (with the truth) on left wing hub pages but I suppose since you haven't answered my comment you are busy and when you get around to reading it it will be gone. Anyway, in the mean time not a week goes by without another prime example of the Democrat leadership lying again. Enter Nancy Pelosi, the same liar who along with Obama told us over and over you can keep your healthcare plan and your doctor.

The only fantasy island that exists in Washington is in the hearts and minds of the liberals that control the Democrat party today.

The thing about liberals that you can't put on republican's is that they always point to other's bad behavior to justify their own and this hub page is no exception. By doing so they think they diminish the seriousness of their "crimes", yes I say crimes because that is the big difference. I am no propagandist for the Republican Party and frankly believe the leadership is just a mirror image of liberals when it comes to tactics they employ to win elections (ie Cochran in Mississippi recently). To say "at present, democratic officials tend to be more trustworthy and truthful than their counterparts within the GOP" is noting less than a huge lie and another example of trying to point toi bad behavior to justify their own criminal behavior.

The modern democratic party leadership and rank and file is built on the cornerstone of their lying and then lying about lying. There is no comparison to the actions and statements of Obama, Holder, Lerner, Pelosi, Reid, Carney, Clinton and well name any administration official - their only expertise is lying, lying about lying, stonewalling changing the subject pointing the finger of blame as not one of them thing twice about putting their political aspirations above the truth and the rights of Americans to know the truth. Their is no comparison to this bunch of crony politicians except historical Chicago style politics. The republican party? They are angels compared to this bunch and any informed person can see right through the veil you try to affect a person's perception of the corruption in this Democrat party.

There is hypocrisy among all politicians, regardless of stripe. Neithe party is any good. To your point that Tea Party/Republicans would like to impeach Obama, they've a good case. Jon Ewall covered a lot of that in his post. Bottom line is that Obama has gone around Congress to change the ACA many times; a president can't do that, only Congress can. As Jon says, "Presidents don't make law, it's their job to enforce laws". Obama deserves to be impeached because he's deliberately and repeatedly taken on responsibilities that belong to Congress, breaching the separation of powers whenever he wishes.
