Founding Mothers of America:Deborah Franklin
Deborah Franklin was for me an interesting character who is also identified as a founding mother. Deborah, a wife to Benjamin Franklin played a huge role in supporting her husband, thus making it easy for her husband, who is accredited as a founding father to engage fully in national matters without a divided attention. This justifies the adage that behind every successful man is a woman and we would want to pursue other characters for this phenomenon. In order to grasp the full story of the founding of the United States, it would not be prudent to ignore the role of women and minorities since many of them as we have already noted were behind the successes of the so called founding fathers. Minorities such as the Native Americans were also actively involved in war though they are not mostly recognized.
