Go Forth My Child and Kill
Tevya is at the Table
Good Morning, Breakfastpoppers. Today is Monday, October 19, 2015. Tevya and I have been on vacation. During our time away, ugly violence has erupted between the Israelis and the Palestinians. Lone wolf children are stabbing Israelis and the violence is escalating. Tevya has asked me to extend an invitation to all of you. Please join him for breakfast and a discussion about a conflict without end. Tevya is serving bagels, cream cheese and lox. I am supplying the Bloody Marys.
Where are the Parents?
The attackers are young Palestinians who must have grown up in households that encouraged and approved of violence against Israelis. What other explanation could there be? When your mother and father say they will be proud of you for taking the life of a citizen of Israel, you do it. The parents of terrorists are congratulated for raising children who kill. In return for their teachings, they receive stipends for sacrificing their lives. It is incomprehensible to imagine, but it is happening and it explains the suicide bombers who prefer to live with the "virgins" than their mothers and fathers. If the Palestinians wanted peace, surely a resolution would have been reached by now. If the Palestinians want the extinction of Israel, the violence will continue. Thus far there is precious little to suggest that peace is what is wanted.
A Proper Response
What is a proper response to these attacks? Are Israelis supposed to accept being killed by a knife wielding teen? Is Israel expected to hold back in retaliation for these killings? As to be expected, critics of Israel condemn them for overreacting to the attacks. Why does the burden of restraint always fall upon Israel? Prime Minister Netanyahu is charged with protecting Israel's citizens. He is not obligated to cool his jets and watch his people die. There are many people who would ask Prime Minister Netanyahu to sit back and take it. President Obama seems to be among that group. Far too many celebrities and Black Lives Matter activists are going out of there way to promote a partnership with the Palestinians. They want to forge a relationship with Palestinians against Israel because they see their conflict with the police as one and the same. The insanity is spreading, and at this rate it is anybody's guess where it will end. The only similarity I see is that crazed Black Lives Matter members encourage violence against police and turn the perpetrators of such violence into heroes and martyrs in the same manner that Palestinian mothers and fathers offer up their babies for a stipend and a "cause."
Not Random, Mr. President
President Obama told the nation and the world that these attacks are random acts of violence. In fact, they are targeted terror attacks in response to a call from Hamas for a "day of rage" against Israel. These are terror attacks, Mr President, in the same way that the Fort Hood Massacre was an act of terror. Until this administration wakes up and calls this horrendous violence "terror" our response will never be effective or appropriate. If the Palestinians truly wanted peace, they had many opportunities over the years to reach an accord. If the Palestinians loved their children as much as they hate Israel, there would be peace in the region. More than ever Israel needs the support of the United States. They are not going to get what they need as long as President Obama is in office. I hope they can carry on without us, because this administration has very little heart or skin in the game, and the Middle East is a powder keg of hatred and unrest. President Obama has kicked our ally to the curb. Hamas must be thrilled.
