Gulf of Mexico SOS: Helping Gulf Residents Get to Safety
"GULF OF MEXICO SOS" - A MESSAGE TO THE GULF: WE CARE ABOUT YOU & WE ARE HERE FOR YOU!
On April 20th, 2010, our world and our country changed forever when
BP's Deepwater Transocean oil rig, due to the reckless disregard for regulations
and the environment by its owners, blew up and proceeded to gush
millions of barrels of oil into the waters of our precious Gulf of
Mexico, sickening and grieving us all to the core, irreparably damaging
the health and livelihoods of our brothers and sisters who live in the
Gulf area, irrevocably destroying the Gulf economy and way of life,
irretrievably extinguishing the innocent lives of millions of
irreplaceable land and sea creatures, and further, placing in jeopardy
the entire world's ecosystem and food supplies.
The Gulf clean
up operation has been accused of incompetence, criminal negligence,
cover ups, violations of Constitutional Rights, callous destruction of
precious sea life, outright lies, and unforgivable and incomprehensible
delays, causing even more damage, which has led to an outcry by world
environmentalists and cries of "Planned False Flag" by many. Americans
are understandably outraged and questioning the real intentions of our
government and the huge global corporations which have usurped our
government, our economy, and our lives.
Obviously, we can not, and must not, depend on our government, nor on
those in charge of BP, to safeguard our wellbeing, nor to provide for
the urgent needs of Gulf residents, either human or animal. For this
reason, all Americans must stand up NOW in outrage and in solidarity
with the victims of the Oil Spill and for our environment. If it is
happening to ONE of us, it is happening to ALL. Americans have ever
been generous to those in need. Let us now be generous and help each
other!
GULF OF MEXICO SOS is comprised of several parts.
These are:
The Facebook Profile Page
The Gulf of Mexico SOS Facebook Fan Page
Gulf of Mexico SOS Blog
Gulf of Mexico Forum
The philosophy and purpose of "Gulf of Mexico SOS":
The Blog and Facebook Pages are meant to be a service for keeping track
of Gulf Oil Spill breaking news, and include links to Official
Information Sites, and other information related to the spill and the
politics surrounding it.
The "GULF SOS FORUM",
is a free posting service which allows Gulf area residents needing help
evacuating the Gulf area to post their needs, and to hook up with
people, organizations, and charities who are offering help and services
to Gulf Oil Spill victims, their families, and their pets. This service
also gives people living in other parts of the country the opportunity
to offer help to victims of the oil spill, by posting what kind of help
they are able to offer.
I believe in the inherent goodness and strength of Americans - and I
believe that if we put our minds and our collective will behind it, we
have the power to do anything, and to surmount any obstacles.
With this faith in the indomitable American spirit, I pray that this
Gulf of Mexico SOS Facebook Pages, Blog, and Forum give us all a place
to unite, to help to heal the division between us, and to both give and
receive whatever is necessary to make sure that all Americans make it
through the catastrophe which has assailed us and the wellbeing of our
country's environment.
We have endured many years of the stripping of our constitutional
rights, the corruption in our government, the besmirching of our
reputation in the rest of the world, illegal wars waged in our name,
war crimes done in our name, the destruction of our manufacturing base
and our livelihoods, the contamination of our food supplies, and the
ruination of our economic base.
It is time for us Americans to take our country back and to restore
American values of plain common sense, the value of what is truly right
and wrong, and our American love of freedom, tolerance, independence,
good will towards our neighbors, and the willingness to work for the
economic stability which can support us all.
Let's stop at nothing now, then, to make things right in our country,
and to preserve our natural resources, for ALL Americans.
If you are on Facebook, please join the Gulf of Mexico SOS profile and fan pages, follow the blog, and register at the Forum to post anything you are able to offer Gulf residents wanting to evacuate, whether it be shelter, housing, home rentals, job offers, transportation help, or pet transportation and fostering. If you are a Gulf resident, please make use of the Forum to post what you need help with, so people willing to help can access it and offer to help you.
WE ARE AMERICANS! WE CAN DO THIS!
STAND UP AMERICA!
Sincerely,
"Gulf of Mexico SOS"
