His Love Reaching

Updated on July 31, 2011

This hub outlines my vision for a non-profit organization whose emphasis is on those who have no home, no food, proper clothing, school supplies, medicine, etc. We will start with those closet to us-those right here in America. When we take care of home, then, and only then, will we go global.

The Vision

His Love Reaching

“There will always be poor people in the land. Therefore I command you to be openhanded toward your brothers and toward the poor and needy in your land.” Deuteronomy 15:11

Many people conclude that people are poor through some fault of their own. This kind of reasoning makes it easy to close their hearts and hands to the needy. But we are not to invent reasons for ignoring the poor. We are to respond to their needs no matter whom or what was responsible for their condition. His Love Reaching is an outreach ministry created to show the love of God by supplying the needs of those not having the resources to help themselves.

Our vision is to acknowledge God’s command and special concern for the poor by being generous with our time, love, and material goods. That having been richly blessed, we can now turn around and be a blessing to those who are in need.

Exactly, I agree :). It is our own, everybody's responsibility.

Thanks Ms Dee! I believe the answer lies with us, not the government. We need to take care of each other. We should not beg nor be obligated to any politician or special interest group. We should empower and encourage each other.

What a beautiful vision! Reaching out to those around us locally who are in need is the way it should be, and is in at least a few places. Imagine if this was done everywhere! It would be a wonderful miracle.
