Hunger In America , Does Anyone Care
Does Anyone Care That We Have Hunger In America?
Every day I set and get angry and when I dwell on it I get angrier. What I'm talking about is hunger in America. Do you care that we have hunger in America? Do you know that tonight in what is supposed to be one of the richest countries in the world 13 million children are going to go to bed hungry.
Do you know that the fastest growing population in United States Soup Kitchen lines is children. Yes children. And its sad but no one seems to care. The politicians aren't talking about it on CNN. The newspapers aren't printing stories about the hungry.
All summer we were subjected to a leaking oil well in the Gulf of Mexican. But I saw little or no mention about America and the hungry in America.
Every day I see the politicians come on T.V. and put on the spin but you know they continue to ignore the issue of hunger in America. I guess its not a popular issue with the CNN reporters because I don't see them interviewing kids in soup kitchen lines.
I see Republicans and Democrats spinning their he-said , she-said stories but not a one of them is talking about the burning issue of hunger in America. And daily millions yes millions of pounds of food that could be used to feed hungry people is going in dumpsters. But again no one cares. I have yet to see a story on the nightly news about the real problem that is slowly but surly spreading across America. Yes that issue is hunger. Do you care tonight that 13 million U.S. children will go to bed hungry.
Do you know that right now as you are reading this that 14.000 homeless people are living in the streets of New Orleans? And that 300.000 more former citizens of New Orleans have no place to come home to. Do you care?
Its for sure that the politicians don't care. We need politicians that are for America first and to hell with the political spin. We don't need Democrats and we don't need Republicans. We need American Politicians that are going to work to stop hunger in America and help the more than 300.000 former citizens of New Orleans that still can't come home because they have no home to come home to. But ask yourself a very important question do you care?
Do You Care About The Hungry And The Homeless Here In America?
We need to tell the Republicans and the Democrats that we do care. That we are tired of spin and the political games they play to take your mind off the real issues they should be talking about. We need to tell them that we want the issues here at home taken care of before we worry about the issues in other countries. We need to be spending the money here at home to take care of Americans first. Not one penny should be spent overseas until we take care of issues here at home like hunger and people living under bridges. But do you care? Or are you going to continue to listen to the politicians put on their political spin and run from the real issues.
I don't care about parties. What I do care about is America and 13 million hungry children. And the more than 14.000 homeless people living on the streets of downtown New Orleans. I care about those people living under bridges. I care about the people here in America. I think we should think about the people here at home. Here in America before we spend one more dime overseas.
And we need to stop throwing food into dumpsters that could be used to feed hungry American's. Every week I break the law and take food out of Grocery Store Dumpsters and feed it to hungry people. But that food should never go into dumpsters. It should be used to feed hungry people. Politicians should be worrying about the hungry here in America. The political spin should be stopped. The important issues like the hungry and the homeless should be taken care of before we spin one more dime overseas.
But you know the most important question I want to ask you is do you care. Or are you going to continue to let the politicians both Republicans and Democrats pull the wool over your eyes. Come on America your smarter than that. Wake up and demand political and social change like we should have been doing all along. Write to President Obama and ask him what he's going to do about the hungry and the homeless here in the United States. I ask you. Do you care?
