Set Me Free

I’m Just a Passenger – Keith Birmingham

I’m just a passenger. No, I don’t have the key.

I’m just a passenger. And, I don’t wanna be.

I paid to take this ride to see what I could see.

But, I don’t like the view. Not what I want to see.

I’m just a passenger. No I don’t have the key.

But, I want out of here. Please, won’t you set me free.

The man said he could make my future bright and clear.

The man said he could make my troubles disappear.

He did not say that this was gonna be the price.

But, why, oh why am I his only sacrifice.

I’m just a passenger. No I don’t have the key.

And, I want out of here. Please, won’t you set me free.

She says that she is back, and she can plainly see.

She says that she is back, to really set me free.

She hides the truth. She lives on lies.

She makes me laugh. She makes me cry.

I’m just a passenger. No I don’t have the key.

And, I want out of here. Please, won’t you set me free.

I want someone who really has the key.

I want someone to really set me free.

Someone who means just what they say.

Someone to trust. Someone to lead the way.

I’m just a passenger. No I don’t have the key.

And, I want out of here. Please, won’t you set me free.

I’m just a passenger. No I don’t have the key.

And, I want out of here. Please, won’t you set me free.
