I'm scared of today's society

Brandi has been a stay at home mom for eleven years. She has a love for Thriller and mystery books, and just finished "All the Lost Souls"

I feel like some things need to be said when it comes to today's society.

We are living in a world where people have decided that it is ok to take innocent lives because they don't agree with the way they lives, the color of their skin and the career they have chosen.

We are living in a world where someone gets it in their head that it is ok to shoot people, to run them over, to bomb them because of differences.

Not only do I see all of these news reports and worry about my child's future but I really worry about everyone.

I am so confused as to how people get it in their head that it is better to act out hate in order to fix a problem. And my friends we have a lot of problems going on in the world today.

The question is, how are you going to change it? I'm sorry but protests don't change the world but finding a way to get on the inside and work on turning a bad situation into a good one.

I saw a video today where a man was trying to report on why people were protesting. Instead of taking that opportunity to make their voice heard, to really make a difference and to let people know why they were so upset they chose this moment in the spotlight to show their ignorance. They wont get another chance to speak their thoughts, to show themselves as something different and they need to realize that what they have shown the world lasts a lifetime.
I don't understand how you could take such a moment to really shine and turn it into a hateful rant.

When are we going to wake up and start treating each other with some respect. What happened to fighting for what you believe in by working hard. Nobody ever gets anywhere by complaining their problems away. Learn how to fight for your cause the right way! If you feel like people are against your race prove them wrong with your actions NOT RIGHT!

Start helping the situation and not making it worse. If you want respect start by respecting others first. I just can't stand this world right now. It's not the United States it's everywhere. Open your eyes and start being the change we need in order for our children to be able to live in a world we would be proud of.

Stand up for change. Treat people the right way. If you don't have anything nice to say keep your mouth shut. Above all else realize you have no right to hurt another person in this life.

Well, it has to start with dialogue , and forums like this one... I long for the day when people can truly respect each other's differences; but it will never come until God intervenes, I think... Good thoughts , but I disagree with one phrase, well done though
