N Twenty...I think!
N Twenty...I think!

This hub is from an email I recieved, so it's hardly original, but the email was funny enough, whilst still illustrating the hypocracy of politicians, so I decided to post it as a hub.

It will not score well, for there is duplication in it, but it will serve it's purpose, which is to show that lying never achieves any good result, and leads to loss of faith and trust, as well as the opportunity to be ridiculed in public for your deception.

The original email is reproduced below... but having tried to verify it's integrity, I cannot say that it is 100% truth, but it does reflect the society we live within.... and it is funny!

The email reads....

Rod Blagojevich, is the former Illinois Governor who tried to sell Obama's seat in Congress.. Obama was asked by the press if he had ever met Gov. Ron Blagojevich.

Barack Obama: "I only saw Rod Blagojevich one time ... and that was in the stands and from a distance at a Chicago Bears Football Game."

To understand the next 4 years, you have to understand "the world according to Chicago . While Chicago is a city in Illinois , it is almost a completely different country when it comes to politics, with a whole different set of morals and lang uage.

There are only three rules and a Prime Directive which anybody can understand.

You don't even need an attorney to understand them -- and if you need an attorney ... Well, you know too much ... so look out for Rule #3!

  1. No matter what you see, hear, or do....you don't know anybody and you don't know nothing!
  2. If you capture something on tape or camera....it doesn't reveal nothing!
  3. If you know what everybody knows in Chicago....well, you still don't know nothing.

The PRIME DIRECTIVE in CHICAGO ... No matter what the vote, Democrats win the election.

Now pay close attention!

It's very simple -- we'll illustrate. Remember, you know nothing.

These two? They don't know each other! They said they didn't..
These two? They don't know each other! They said they didn't..
They never actually met face to face.
They never actually met face to face.
The guy on the left? For all you know he's Santa Claus. And the guy on the right ... well, he's the Easter Bunny! That's all you need to know.
The guy on the left? For all you know he's Santa Claus. And the guy on the right ... well, he's the Easter Bunny! That's all you need to know.

We don't see nothing!

Make an appointment with your eye doctor ... your eyes are lying to you! Ca'pish?

Remember Jimmy Hoffa? He knew too much and now ..... well, now no one knows where he is.

Is the big picture clear? Not these pictures! Remember, you've already forgotten them ....

Now, ain't that simple? They don't know each other and they never met!

How is that possible? 'CAUSE THEY SAID SO! And don't forget it!

So how's that whole "Hope & Change" thing working out for ya? I would love to know. SHARE....

SO MUCH FOR CHARACTER, INTEGRITY AND SUNSHINE

Why do people lie?

Simply put because they believe they can get away with it, and unfortunately in this world they can, for these photos above must have been in the public domain for months, yet there is no outcry that the most powerful man in the world (ostensibly) is supposedly a liar.

I say supposedly not to protect myself, but to protect the man, for in research it is difficult to find a definitive answer as to whether President Obama actually denied meeting Governor Blagojevich.

And if he never said that, then this hub would be worthless anyway.... or would it?

For the real question here is do politicians lie, and should they be permitted to do so?

We all know the 'their lips are moving' joke that happens to be truth, but why do we accept this. If the email that sparked me to write this hub is false (and please tell me if you can prove it's veracity either way) then why has it not been shown as false?

If it is the truth, why has this man been allowed to walk away from a lie.

I can imagine someone telling a lie in haste as they replied to a loaded media question, but allowing it to proliferate unopposed is foolish, but then maybe there are too many lies out there to worry about one little fib, and maybe the email does accurately display how politics are run in Chicago?

Any Americans care to comment on this, to prove or disprove the supposed fact that the President of the United States has apparently told a blatant lie and gotten away with it?
