Is Trump's Rhetoric Dangerous?
Within less than a week, there has been 10 pipe bombs sent to various Democratic persons. two black men murdered by a white gunman in Kentucky, 11 Jews murdered while worshiping by another gunman, am I missing anything?
CNN claims Trump has something to do with these murders. Fox claims it is not President Trump's fault. But, really, does anyone really believe that the President of the United States who uses nasty, racist, rhetoric constantly has NO influence on those wackos on the fringe that actually believe it? While there is Freedom of Speech, POTUS has a responsibility in the language that he uses at his fan rallies that pump up his weak ego.
Trump does have responsibility to all Americans, not just his right wing fan base that thinks he is second to God. He continually claims to be a president for all Americans, yet, he constantly uses divisive language that subtly approves of how many right wing extremists act. Even the more rational and less extreme Republicans seem to have tacit approval from Trump to use divisive language.
Trump is certainly part of the problem and yet he refuses to think it is. His words do have ramifications and if the person has a mental health problem, he may just start acting out seeing that Trump's hate speech is so prevalent. This person may think they are fulfilling Trump's wishes by bombings and murders against those groups Trump bashes.
How would Trump act if someone tried to bomb or kill his family? Would he just say it was some fringe crazy person who happened to listen to the hate speech against Trump? Trump is provoking and stoking the current political mess and he hopes he benefits.
If Trump would tone his own rhetoric so would many others, yet, he continues to bash and more horrible acts will occur.
