It's High Time

Updated on July 31, 2012

Taking Care Of Business

It's about that time - you know where they start gearing up for the stump. But this is ridiculous! Why are we paying Obama $400K in base salary and all the perks one could possibly imagine to campaign for an office that he already holds? I think I have an answer but want you to share yours with the rest of us. I think it's high time that the President of this country haul his buttocks back to Foggy Bottom and remain there until he does his actual job of leading this nation out of the dire straits he has so ably helped sink us into, and I'm not talking about leading his pep rallies which he does so well. Pep rallies have never won game one.

He's been out on the west coast tooting his own horn and blasting away at other's ideas (you know only he has the answers). The 38K dinner in San Fran was marvelous I hear even though I had a previous engagement to attend. Let me know how it went if you happened to attend. I was quite distraught, but I am recovering. You can catch up on that swanky event here:

It's a bit early to have to listen to the sound bites that the Lame Stream Media wants to endlessly start feeding as pablum to the American public about their Anointed One. Brace yourself because Obama is now doing what he knows best and leading isn't in the equation. He's wonderful at campaigning and making more promises that he knows he can't keep even if he intended to keep one in the first place.

There have been three distinct phases so far in his presidency and only three.

Phase I was when he spent the first 18 months in office trying to shove Obamacare down our throats. Intermingled in there was his spending about a trillion on a failed stimulous bill. I still chuckle about the concept that a "saved" job equated to a "created" job. Lots on smoke and mirrors involved in trying to justify wasting all of our tax payer money. It did create about 10% more federal bureaucracy jobs, if you consider that to be in his favor. But looking at the bright side, there are only 2 million more American workers that are unemployed than when he took office.

Phase 2 was the befuddlement phase after the mid-terms when he took his self-admitted shellacking. He can't understand, and still fails to understand, why people aren't, weren't and never will be enamored with his failed policies and his lack of leadership skills. After all, the world has been his political stage for bowing and shuffling while things got worse on the home front. Get this Obama - We don't want your stinking health care. We don't want your excessive spending to continue, we can't afford it.

This phase also included his "I don't what the hell to do now" look at the reality some of us easily recognize. He is like a fish out of water when it comes to making leadership decisions and the hard choices involved in having to lead this nation away from the abyss and not into it.

Something I learned about leadership, having been in more than a few of those positions, is that you don't solve any problems by belittling opposing views that are clearly superior to the ones swirling around the room. But then again, I was never campaigning constantly. I knew what I had to do and I went about doing it. Obama seems to rather dither and hope that things get better before he has to actually do something productive to solve the problem. His reaction to the lack of adoration he received in the results of the shellacking were predictable if you understand a narcissists personality traits. He took refuge in what he knows best, and maybe really the only thing he understands about politics. He entered Phase 3 - Campaigner-In-Chief.

Phase 3 is his forte and if you don't recognize that then have another swig of his elixir, lie down and relax and we'll let the head shrink know your location. He is quite good at this. He is excellent at opening his mouth and letting spew forth statements designed to wage class warfare.Doesn't he have three wars under his belt right now to contend with. Why also encourage the American public to go to war with each other? I know the answer and so do you. So he stands a better chance at getting re-elected. That is one sick mentality for any Presdient to have if you think about it.

I can always tell when Obama is flummoxed about the duties and responsibilities of being the President of our country. He goes on vacation. Now vacations are fine every once in a while but under the present economic conditions the typical family vacation might involve going to Walmart to window shop. When Obama does anything, he seems to do it to excess. His spending proposal is a good example. His idea of decreasing the national debt is to add 1.6 trillion to it in 2012. The higher math they have taught the man does totally escape me.

This is ridiculous. Reaching the debt ceiling is rapid approaching. Here's the National Debt Clock once again for your viewing pleasure. It'll make you dizzy!

Our national credit rating is in danger because of a pattern of irresponsible spending and lack of sound budget decisions. Qadaffi and his cronies have stalemated Obama in a war he got us into then wants to disavow. Oh he has the answers.

It's simple. He regresses to the stump to collect campaign contributions and put his latest snake oil spin on the issues to see what sticks and what doesn't. He's in the practice mode for his campaign speeches to come. That's how he sees being a leader. Hold a pep rally so that the salivating nitwits of this nation can slobber all over his shoes. By appearances folks we don't have a President anymore. I question whether we've had one since Obama took office. His snake oil was sold and bought the last go around. I wonder if the American people are stupid enough to refill their prescription. Imagination Land must be a very special place.

Only In Imagination Land...

I think Klavan pretty well summed up the past 2 1/2 years.  From now until November just expect to see the Campaigner-In-Chief.  That doesn't take too much imagination at all.

As Always,

The Frog Prince

Yeah Wayne, Obie reminds me of Mr. Haney in a $2,000 suit.

"Barrack's Magic Elixir - Cures Anything" (of course, it's just a shot of rotgut rye, but I doubt the FDA has any control due to Signing Statement 8764-67).

You examples get me thinking of all the old westerns in which the snake oil salesman's wagon pulled into town and people ran out to me it and listen to his lies. They need relief and desired to have something they could believe in...the salesman simply recognized the need and made the sale..leaving town before the results could be measured. I'd say that is a pretty good description of what we have here. Nice job, Frog! WB

I can understand why Obummy doesn't "get it." He's too busy admiring himself and implementing his re-election campaign. What worries me is why so many of the voters so far don't seem to "get it." We cannot afford another 4 years of Obamination!

Nothing to say here that others haven't already said--except that this page triggered a sputtering brain cell into realizing what I should write about next....

America's president and senatorial and congressional leaders thrive on power but to have that power they need the financial support of the American People a people who are "Trillions of Dollars" in debt because of the greed of the American politician.

Just this past week America was given a "Wake up Call" when the world banking system threatened to devalue your rating, yet still your indebtedness goes on and on, deeper and deeper.

One day the US. will awaken to the fact that it can nolonger sustain itself and the people will suffer, not the wealthy politician who has protected his finances on the backs of the people.

God help us all on that day, and it is not to far down the road.

David - When the news people want to become the news then journalism has gone into the tank. It's been there for a while but the Obamantion is now making it so obvious.

Frog, Obama is enraptured with the idea of just being POTUS. Everything else is gravy as you have pointed out. He doesn't have a clue. He is the eternal campaigner because that is what he does best. Suppose this was a conservative and he can still be black. The news media would be having a field day. The only good thing that I can see coming out of this Obama debacle is that the MSM have finally outed themselves. All the world can see them for what they are; biased, liberal elitists. The MSM no longer just report the news, they manufacture it. They manufacture it to help Obama.

Poolman - The Obamazombies walk among us. What is weird is that are blind partisan Democrats who do no research on candidates, just vote the old straight party ticket. How utterly stupid.

rkhyclak - Go back to this Hub. A Brit with some sense made some astute observations. I became a follower and so did he. His name is Angel Tender and he can be found here down toward the bottom.

I saw where where Gary Johnson announced so we'll have to see where he shakes out.

jim - I like perfection. It took me a while this morning to focus on writing this. There is so much to write about this administration and its idiotic ways. So I decided to rant about him not doing his damned job.

Carol - I've about had it with this idiot. He needs to go to DC and stay there and do what he is paid to do. I'll be damned if I want to help the idiot campaign on our dime.

dahoglund - They can all join that Millionaires For Prosperity group I wrote about recently. Just stroke that extra check. Nothing is stopping them but common sense. Or maybe they ran out of ink printing money?

Last I saw the president he was talking about how rich people like him should be glad to pay more taxes. I propose that he do that. also all the other rich people, senators, congressman and others turn their checks over to the treasurer until the crisis is over.

This was a Home Run Froggy, nothing I can add that you haven't already said, and said so Well, as only you can. 2012 can't come soon enough for most of us, and even those who aren't talking (Buyers Remorse). But the voting booth will do the talking, and Obama will be a ONE TERM PRESIDENT!

I really can't add anything to this. I think I've said everything I have to say in my hubs, and Frog, you should to be commended on your daily efforts. Obama is no doubt the worst President we've had; So much so, that he's a national security nightmare. He'll also go on record as being the most disapointing president we've had. He even disapointed the one's of us who didn't vote for him. That's bad. Unbelievably, he could win a second term if we don't get it damn near perfect.

Great hub, Frog. Up and all buttons too. I don't know how I managed it, but I navigated to a hub written by someone in the UK that was asking what was so wrong with Obama. The hub and the comments could only state "how nice he is" and "what a great guy" and blah blah blah. This fellow even asked if there was a specific group that Obama was alienating/mistreating.

I really believe that a lot of people do not CARE about our skyrocketing debt, war on 3 different fronts, out of control borders and the class warfare he is promoting. All they care about is that he "seems like such a great/nice guy".

I can't figure out why so many people in this country don't care about what's important. It's exasperating. We've got a little over a year and a half of this looney toon's campaign still to stomach. It's all the man can do. Which makes me wonder, God forbid, if he does get in for a 2nd term what the heck is he going to do? He can't win another, so what's he going to campaign for?

In another subject, what say you on the fellow who announced he's officially running for pres in 2012? Former NM Gov. Gary Johnson? I hadn't heard of him until yesterday...

If I had made as many stupid, boneheaded moves as this guy, and saw my poll numbers headed for the ditch, I would be on the stump myself.

He will soon be followed by many of the other fat cat, do nothing, incompetent imbeciles we were unfortunate enough to vote into office. This is only the beginning, and many will be spending their every waking hour trying to insure their lucrative positions.

Unfortunately, Obama and his gang still have a large crowd of blind individuals who think they do no wrong. No amount of talking or presenting facts seems to sway this group. The lies that have been told are planted firmly in their minds, and they are not going to change their opinions.

We need to get a really good spokesman with an accurate BS meter on our side watching every move that is made. When the BS alarm goes off, we need to expose it for what it is.

The "change" we got is sure not what we needed, so now we need some real "change" or our country will be done for.
