It's High Time

Updated on July 31, 2012

Taking Care Of Business

It's about that time - you know where they start gearing up for the stump. But this is ridiculous! Why are we paying Obama $400K in base salary and all the perks one could possibly imagine to campaign for an office that he already holds? I think I have an answer but want you to share yours with the rest of us. I think it's high time that the President of this country haul his buttocks back to Foggy Bottom and remain there until he does his actual job of leading this nation out of the dire straits he has so ably helped sink us into, and I'm not talking about leading his pep rallies which he does so well. Pep rallies have never won game one.

He's been out on the west coast tooting his own horn and blasting away at other's ideas (you know only he has the answers). The 38K dinner in San Fran was marvelous I hear even though I had a previous engagement to attend. Let me know how it went if you happened to attend. I was quite distraught, but I am recovering. You can catch up on that swanky event here:

It's a bit early to have to listen to the sound bites that the Lame Stream Media wants to endlessly start feeding as pablum to the American public about their Anointed One. Brace yourself because Obama is now doing what he knows best and leading isn't in the equation. He's wonderful at campaigning and making more promises that he knows he can't keep even if he intended to keep one in the first place.

There have been three distinct phases so far in his presidency and only three.

Phase I was when he spent the first 18 months in office trying to shove Obamacare down our throats. Intermingled in there was his spending about a trillion on a failed stimulous bill. I still chuckle about the concept that a "saved" job equated to a "created" job. Lots on smoke and mirrors involved in trying to justify wasting all of our tax payer money. It did create about 10% more federal bureaucracy jobs, if you consider that to be in his favor. But looking at the bright side, there are only 2 million more American workers that are unemployed than when he took office.

Phase 2 was the befuddlement phase after the mid-terms when he took his self-admitted shellacking. He can't understand, and still fails to understand, why people aren't, weren't and never will be enamored with his failed policies and his lack of leadership skills. After all, the world has been his political stage for bowing and shuffling while things got worse on the home front. Get this Obama - We don't want your stinking health care. We don't want your excessive spending to continue, we can't afford it.

This phase also included his "I don't what the hell to do now" look at the reality some of us easily recognize. He is like a fish out of water when it comes to making leadership decisions and the hard choices involved in having to lead this nation away from the abyss and not into it.

Something I learned about leadership, having been in more than a few of those positions, is that you don't solve any problems by belittling opposing views that are clearly superior to the ones swirling around the room. But then again, I was never campaigning constantly. I knew what I had to do and I went about doing it. Obama seems to rather dither and hope that things get better before he has to actually do something productive to solve the problem. His reaction to the lack of adoration he received in the results of the shellacking were predictable if you understand a narcissists personality traits. He took refuge in what he knows best, and maybe really the only thing he understands about politics. He entered Phase 3 - Campaigner-In-Chief.

Phase 3 is his forte and if you don't recognize that then have another swig of his elixir, lie down and relax and we'll let the head shrink know your location. He is quite good at this. He is excellent at opening his mouth and letting spew forth statements designed to wage class warfare.Doesn't he have three wars under his belt right now to contend with. Why also encourage the American public to go to war with each other? I know the answer and so do you. So he stands a better chance at getting re-elected. That is one sick mentality for any Presdient to have if you think about it.

I can always tell when Obama is flummoxed about the duties and responsibilities of being the President of our country. He goes on vacation. Now vacations are fine every once in a while but under the present economic conditions the typical family vacation might involve going to Walmart to window shop. When Obama does anything, he seems to do it to excess. His spending proposal is a good example. His idea of decreasing the national debt is to add 1.6 trillion to it in 2012. The higher math they have taught the man does totally escape me.

This is ridiculous. Reaching the debt ceiling is rapid approaching. Here's the National Debt Clock once again for your viewing pleasure. It'll make you dizzy!

Our national credit rating is in danger because of a pattern of irresponsible spending and lack of sound budget decisions. Qadaffi and his cronies have stalemated Obama in a war he got us into then wants to disavow. Oh he has the answers.

It's simple. He regresses to the stump to collect campaign contributions and put his latest snake oil spin on the issues to see what sticks and what doesn't. He's in the practice mode for his campaign speeches to come. That's how he sees being a leader. Hold a pep rally so that the salivating nitwits of this nation can slobber all over his shoes. By appearances folks we don't have a President anymore. I question whether we've had one since Obama took office. His snake oil was sold and bought the last go around. I wonder if the American people are stupid enough to refill their prescription. Imagination Land must be a very special place.

Only In Imagination Land...

I think Klavan pretty well summed up the past 2 1/2 years.  From now until November just expect to see the Campaigner-In-Chief.  That doesn't take too much imagination at all.

As Always,

The Frog Prince
