John Lennon Versus Nancy Pelosi and Antifa

Updated on September 1, 2017

Were John Lennon to be alive today, he would understand with crystal clarity what is taking place in the political arena and on the streets. In Berkeley last weekend hundreds of self-styled Antifa "anti-fascist" protesters attacked a peaceful rally of conservatives who have repeatedly denounced white supremacists of any kind, solely because they supported Donald Trump.

"Everybody's talking 'bout
Bagism, Shagism, Dragism, Madism, Ragism, Tagism
This-ism, that-ism, is-m, is-m, is-m"

Everybody's talking 'bout alt-right alt-lite far-right right-right communism fascism is-m, is-m, is-m.

Lennon was actually hated by many on the far-left, as well as the far-right, although for very different reasons. To the right obviously he was anti-war. But Lennon also dared mock hard-core ideologues on the left.

"You tell me it's the institution. Well you know. You better free your mind instead."

In San Francisco yesterday, what started out being described as anti-"white supremacist" protest, as Nancy Pelosi and Senator Dianne Feinstein warned were gathering, turned into an anti-"alt-right" protest, or perhaps an anti-"white nationalist" protest, depending on which major media newspaper you read.

That's because no Neo-Nazis or white supremacists were available, because the protest organizer detests them, and has condemned them.

Wait a minute. What's a white nationalist? Besides something that starts with "white" and ends with "ist, like a, hmm, white supremacist. Sounds pretty bad.

Is a white cop wearing an American flag on his sleeve, as most cops do, a white nationalist? What if you fly an American flag on your front porch, and you are white?

But you can't call them white supremacists anymore, at least the group, Patriot Prayer, which was to have its rally in Crissy Park, because most of the speakers were either Black, Latino, Asian, and even one transgender. Now we are supposed to believe there is a new Hitler Youth who are Black, denounce all Nazis, and wear dreadlocks. And dance to the two black rap bands which were to come after the speeches.

Lennon saw it clearly. Mass insanity.

Or does it matter, as long as thousands of people are getting more riled up by the minute, and ready to hurt someone? The conservative rally was forced to shut down.

The mainstream media inevitably latched onto "timing" as the next go-to for people not convinced these are really white supremacists. Just two weeks after the tragic death of Heather Heyer in Charlottesville, killed by a white supremacist, at a rally where there were real, live, white supremacists. Who have absolutely nothing to to do with the conservative-leaning would-be ralliers in San Francisco, before they canceled the rally out of fear of mass violence and being attacked by Antifa, the self-styled "anti-fascists" to whom any Trump supporter is exactly the same as a Nazi.

Antifa did attack, the next day when it chased the founder of Patriot Prayer, through the streets of Berkeley, trying to kill him.

Rallies are always planned months in advance, as a result of permitting processes, and also to make sure everyone has plenty of time to get the day off. So the "timing" argument is false. No one was trying to provoke anyone through timing.

A similar conservative-leaning rally in Boston last month opened with a moment of silence for Heather Heyer. Again, many participants were minority, including the keynote speaker, Republican candidate for US Senate Dr. Shiva Ayyadurai. As the candidate spoke, supporters held up his campaign signs, which read "Black Lives Matter" and "No to GMO."

The next go-to, if you can't find any real Neo-Nazis to oppose, is that conservative gatherings attract Neo-Nazis. But first, had this happened, the conservatives themselves would have barred them and denounced them,as they told the media repeatedly. Second, if any group of extremists is routinely attracted to peaceful protests of mostly moderates, it's Antifa, with masks, gasoline, and rocks, and bottles of urine always showing up.

"Bishops and Fishops and Rabbis and Popeyes and bye-bye...bye-byes!"

What Lennon understood was how words can be used to kill, in the hands of skilled practitioners of the art of transforming their meaning and transferring their emotional load. Such as Nancy Pelosi, Dianne Feinstein, and all complicit US media.

If there are no white supremacists, then call them white nationalists. It sounds the same, and you won't get sued. Alt-right works too. That's anyone who has the nerve to say global bankers might be behind policies which don't have our best interests in mind. Wow.

Lennon once suggested that the inciting of a people toward violence might be deliberate. He said:

“When it gets down to having to use violence, then you are playing the system’s game. The establishment will irritate you – pull your beard, flick your face – to make you fight. Because once they’ve got you violent, then they know how to handle you. The only thing they don’t know how to handle is non-violence and humor.”

Let's get beyond the i-sms and find out who people really are before we attack them, if attack them we feel we must. Because all John was saying was...let's give peace a chance.
