Not Again!

Good Morning, Breakfastpoppers. Today is Wednesday, May 28, 2014. Our delightful friend, Antoine, is here with me at the breakfast table. He has some news he would like to share with us. He baked scores of delicious croissants for breakfast and he has asked for the pleasure of your company. He hopes to see you soon.

Have You Heard?

Hello, my dear, human family. Did you know that the Obama administration has plans to bail out the insurance companies if they suffer a loss because of Obamcare. The Republicans have been talking about this for a while, but the Obama administration denied that there was any such plan to implement a bailout. What this administration failed to reveal is that hundreds of pages were added to the regulations just last week. The new regulations provide insurers with a safety net in exchange for keeping premiums reasonable over the next few years.

It doesn't take a math genius to realize that the American people will be paying premiums for healthcare that the Obama administration feels are fair. What you are not being told is that your tax dollars will be propping up the insurance industry and it could be to the tune of hundreds of billions of dollars. In effect, you will be paying double for your healthcare!

Buried Regulations

The Obama administration managed to bury these new regulations in a mound of paperwork. The only thing transparent about this administration is the clear fact that they are not transparent at all. The administration will start spinning the story as soon as people catch on. Of course, given the fact that most of the media works for the WH, many of you will never even hear about it. If, the story has legs, the Obama administration will toss it aside and stress how hard they are working to keep premiums manageable for the beleaguered middle class. The mainstream media devotees will jump right in and do their part to blur the issue and support the President. Americans will probably have to endure a few more inane statements from Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid. In the end, most of the public will toss the entire issue aside. Only when the cost of this bailout hits them right in the pocketbook will they start to realize that they have been lied to once again.

Have You Had Enough?

Your President has a pen and a phone. He has been using it quite liberally these days and the effect on your country is stunning. He, and he alone, picks the issues he deems important. He solves them, at least in his mind, as he sees fit without Congress and the American people. This proposed bailout of the insurance industry crept in under the radar. Congress has been completely ineffective in its lame attempt to reign in the administration. This President rules by decree. He has usurped Congress' legislative constitutional authority and he isn't going to stop. He promised Americans that he was going to fundamentally transform America and he is keeping his promise.

On his own volition President Obama unilaterally changed Obamacare 24 times. He did not work with Congress. He did not work with the American people. He has changed the government to a government of one and every American regardless of party affiliation should be alarmed and disgusted.

Congress must act decisively to end Obama's personal reign of terror by executive order. We have three branches of government and we have them for a reason. We have a system of checks and balances that does not appear to be working as it was meant to work. Congress must protect every American by doing what they were sent to Washington to do. The American people must take steps to remind them of their obligations. If they don't respond, they must be held accountable. We need fresh blood in Washington. We need a citizenry that is knowledgeable and involved. Above all, we need a President that loves this country and respects the Founding Fathers and the Constitution. Time is of the essence.

Antoine's Song

Let's go children of the homeland

The day of reckoning has arrived

Against you tyranny's ugly flag is raised....
