Lives Matter
Antoine Scratches His Head
Good morning, Breakfastpoppers. Today is Monday, July 11, 2016. Our industrious friend, Ant Antoine, is at the breakfast table this morning. He has asked for the pleasure of your company. Antoine is grieving. Black lives do not live in a bubble. They are not separate from white lives or Latino lives or any lives. Until we put an end to this dangerous movement, we will never come together. Please head for Pop's house so we can discuss this a bit further. We are anxiously awaiting your arrival, and we will greet you at the door with a smile and a Bloody Mary.
It's Finger Pointing Time
Thank you all for coming to the table this morning. America is at war. The sides are obscured by a media who takes every opportunity to sensationalize any incident involving a white cop and a black alleged victim. President Obama sits at the top of this blame pyramid, and he is in "good" company. Joining him in dividing this nation and upping the rhetoric and violence is former Attorney General Holder. When Holder did nothing to stop the New Black Panther party from threatening and intimidating voters, the fix was in. This was going to be payback time. Whites were being put on notice that the powers that be were not looking out for them. Joining this powerful group is Rev. Al Sharpton who never misses an opportunity to make things worse. When a white cop or citizen kills a black, Rev. Al appears like magic, making sure that the people are angry, the words vicious and the protests loud and often. There is more black on black violence in this nation than anything else, but Rev. Al just isn't interested. His silence is deafening. I don't think black lives really matter to Rev Al. I am not sure they matter to President Obama either, because if they did he would consistently approach these problems with the goal of bringing people together and urging calm. Instead he points to guns and Republicans as being the source of the problem. Apparently, the president and the would-be president Clinton think that guns have minds and can pull their own triggers. Attorney General Loretta Lynch doesn't deal with an even hand either. Justice has color to this administration despite the fact that we have a black president, Attorney General, Supreme Court Justice and so many others. Black lives do not matter more than any other lives. All lives matter, and it is time we started acting like it. The Black Lives Matter movement has caused a great deal of harm. They go out of their way to keep the hostility growing among blacks against whites. The lunatic who gunned down police officers in Dallas was inspired by the group's rhetoric. Our police aren't safe or respected by many because of the hate spread by this group. Our police aren't safe anymore because of the lack of respect that comes from the Oval Office. Our police aren't safe anymore, because the left likes it that way. They crave chaos and chaos brings unwelcome change. All lives matter.
Stop the War
Hillary Clinton gave a speech in which she blamed white America for the chaos we are now experiencing. Her words were stinging lies aimed at pandering to voters who want desperately to place the blame squarely in the laps of white Americans. Hillary is part of the problem. It is people like her who spread lies, distort the truth and paint a picture of race relations based on old perceptions We have made enormous progress in this country since the days of slavery. Black Americans have every opportunity to succeed if that is their goal. If succeeding in our nation in a lawful way is not their cup of tea, than blame the parents, the community leaders and the nation's leaders who refuse to tell it like it is. Black young men and women who are attracted to movements like Black Lives Matter should take a step back and realize that the key to a brighter future lies with them, Where are the black role models? Why don't they tell these kids to stop whining, grow up, get educated, create a business and make a difference? President Obama and Michelle Obama should have been spreading this message constantly for the last eight years. Instead they kept racism alive, because it is in their interest to keep America divided. A divided and angry America is easier to manipulate, and we are being played big time right now. The press is complicit in this, the White House is complicit in this, the Democrats are complicit in this, the liberal left is complicit in this, and the result of all of it is violence, death and despair. All lives matter.
It's Now or Never
We have to stop the stupid and dangerous rhetoric. We have to stop political correctness. We have to speak freely and honestly and stop tempering the truth to make it more palatable to some people. People who resort to violence as a means of expression are fools and thugs. Those that attack police officers are felons who must be punished. Peaceful protest is everyone's right. Violence is not a right, and we must refuse to support it, explain it and forgive it. We must stop being pawns in the hands of certain individuals and media outlets who lie to us on a daily basis, and distort the truth or omit it entirely. The bottom line is this. If President Obama won't lead, then we have to lead. If the press won't report the truth, we have to stop reading their garbage. If Al Sharpton promotes more violence and hatred, we have to reject his message and send him packing. By "we" I mean all Americans, of every color and background. We can do it, because All Lives Matter.
Antoine's Song
Let's go children of the homeland
The day of reckoning is upon us
Against you tyranny's ugly flag is raised.
