Meg Whitman and the Illegal Alien Immigrant

Updated on October 1, 2010

With just about a month left before we vote, Meg Whitman, who is dead even with Jerry Brown in the polls for govenor of California, may have shot herself in the vote. It is one of these situations that is, the more you try to wiggle your way out it or explain your way out it, the more it looks suspicious that one is guilty of something, which for a candidate is NOT good.

Remember Bill Clinton and Monica in the sex case and all its gritty details. He looked straight into the national camera and denied ever having sex with her. Yet, time unraveled it all. Even Hillary "stood by her man".

Meg Whitman faces a similar situation. She hired a woman as a nanny or housekeeper through an agency. The woman gave the agency phoney SSN, which after time and after she had worked for Meg gor years, proved to be not a match. SSN office sent the Whitman household a letter hinting that one should verify the info as correct. Both Meg and her doctor husband are smart, rich. The letter clearly infers "something is not right". It is a "head's up" that obviously Meg's husband got and read and then notated on it for the nanny to check on.

At this point, we now know, the husband knew of it. Knew something was not right or the potential that the woman working for them was illegal and paid well, $23 hr. It does not take much to ascertain that the worker probably was there illegally-she can barely speak English. In any case, from this point two things could have happened:

1. Husband thought nothing more of it and never told Meg. Simply a real non-issue to him because they needed a nanny and the nanny was "verified" by the agency.

2. Husband told Meg. Meg, then, thought nothing more of it, too. When 2009 came, Meg now recalls the letter. Concerns creep in. Scandals during a politcal race are doom. Knowing this, Meg attempts to correct it by firing the nanny. At some point, she said she was told the nanny was illegal, is Meg referring to the letter of 2003? The letter she dismissed until she decided to run for Governor? Hmm, so until the issue would impact her race for the office, she ignored it. When she fired the woman, Meg made it clear that Meg was trying to disconnect herself from EVER even knowing the nanny. I am sure at that time, she felt the low-life alien would never have the nerve to take Meg on in a head to head fight over this.

Meg's worse nightmare did happen.

Now, she is obviously simply lieing about it all, trying to convince voters that she acted responsibly by firing the nanny once it was found out. The reality is that Meg Whitman did nothing about until she realized it might impact her Governor race. It was all a "cover your ass" and "spinning" the revelation to make her look good.

Now, Meg is willing to take a lie detector test IF Jerry Brown takes one! Huh? She knows she must conduct effective damage control or her ship is going to sink. It is listing to one side now. As a voter, my impression of Meg was decent until this. Now, I think she is a person who states one thing, yet does another. She is so rich that she feels she can ignore the laws until caught. Some might call her a typical rich bitch, playing both sides to her advantage. Obviously, she is trying to slam Jerry Brown even about this by dragging him into it, forget about the multi-millions she spent trying to buy her way into the Governor's office. This issue simply compounds her problems.

Meg Whitman will NEVER capture the latino vote that she needs to win-she needs 15-20% of the Latinos.

Adios, Meg.

Will Ms. Santillan be granted legal residency status?...Why hasn’t she been arrested?...Why isn’t she being detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement?

The answers to all of the aforementioned questions will become obvious after election day.

How many illegal aliens are voting in that election?

If you were a billionaire how much time and effort would you spend on checking out your fifteen hour a week employee? How many businesses do an adequate check?

catch-22. If she's not a citizen and it's illegal to ask if she's a citizen...

The SSN folks may have sent Whitman a letter, but she would have been violating the civil rights of the hired help had she asked for additional proof of citizenship.
