Memory Lapses And Obama - Part 2

Updated on January 24, 2012

Can You See Right Through Him Now?

7 Lies In Under 2 Minutes

This is the second part of the series leading up to the State of the Union address this Tuesday, January 24th. The reason I am using the video here is to illustrate that no matter what he says his actions speak louder than words. The best con men in the world can sell the goods without delivering them. Some of past world figures on the world stage had this knack down to an art just like Obama does. But what you need to bear in mind is that the words he speaks come from a teleprompter before they hit his lips. What he promised in this video has not been what we have seen and are experiencing in this country. In fact, in many case, just the opposite is what he has done.

I'm sure this video will surface more and more as the campaign goes into full swing. The sad part is that so many people put their faith in someone I call nothing more than snake oil salesman. Now snake oil can be quite poisonous and the environment in our nation's Capitol is at a very toxic level. We need the antidote now and it sure isn't four more years of empty suit rhetoric delivered by a teleprompter. This nation now needs a leader, a proven leader with a track record. Obama had no track record and he lacked the experience to be the chief executive of the greatest nation on earth. It was all bad timing based upon empty words. That hopey changey thingy hasn't worked out well and many have had the blinders removed while others still refuse to see the man for the fraud he is.

Lets take a look at the video and then come back for an analysis. If you care to refute the facts then use facts to refute them and not some blind allegiance to anything or anyone. That is the stuff puppets are made of - fluff. It is extremely hard to refute what he said here since those are his words and we now actually have a record to compare them to.

Listen To Exactly What He Said Then Compare His Actions To His Words

The first thing he promised there was to deliver the goods about transparency within the federal government. Something about "the people's business." If you have ever listened to Pelosi squawk, you may notice that he was parroting her. How open and transparent was the "people's business" when passing the unpopular legislation we now know as Obamacare. The majority of "the people" were opposed to it then and there is even more opposition now than ever before. That was "Obama's business" and exercising his agenda, no more and no less. This is a participatory Hub so you, as the reader, chime in with other instances of how nontransparent this administration has been.

The next lie was a quote he attributed to Justice Brandeis which wasn't anything Brandeis said at all. How can his teleprompter be so confused? Obama is supposedly a constitutional scholar? Then he continues the fib with the now famous "no Congressional or lobbyists pork barrel projects included in any legislation." Then he almost immediately reneged on that statement by signing an Omnibus bill full of pork. If the federal government bothered to pass an annual budget all this omnibus hooey would be just that. Where's the beef Obama?

Then he slips back into all meetings being open to the public. Again this is directly contradictory to what we have seen. I will use Obamacare as a reference point again. He himself held secret meeting with AFL-CIO leaders. He himself cut a side deal with pharmaceutical companies just prior to this fiasco in order to gain their support. Then there were the behind closed door meetings where the bill itself was crafted without any input from the other side of the aisle. Pelosi had the audacity to tell the nation that in order for "the people" to see "the people's business" they needed to pass the bill so everyone could see what is in it. Well, we've been seeing it and not liking it Fancy Nancy. "NO MORE SECRECY?" His words, not mine.

Continuing along in the same vein he next pledged that any legilsation that ended up on his desk would be displayed on the internet for five (5) days so we, the people, could see what was being done in the name of "the people's business" before he ever signed it. Have you seen that happening? If so, when? Lets play pretend and suppose Obamacare had been posted on the internet for that period of time. That was 2,700 pages of gobble-De-goop that they are still trying to sort through. When they tried to ram through the Cap & Tax bill the House passed it without meeting that requirement with Pelosi exercising her usual self-righteous leadership style as the Speaker of the House. Give it a rest.

Tax bill? Well, since we haven't seen the Democratically Senate doing much except obstruct any useful legislation this past session maybe that is a moot point. But I can say I haven't seen any of these meetings between ;lobbyists and a government agency having much sunshine put on them. In fact, Obama himself has conducted secret meetings between himself and those same people. Just go back and read about the AFL-CIO and the pharmas. His lips were moving again. You Tube isn't exactly abounding with these meetings being broadcast now, it it? Haven't been seeing all those tax breaks and pork barrel projects on line myself. Have you?

Yes Obama, we can now see if our representatives, you being among that chosen number, are representing "We, the People..." by passing "the people's business." We can now see what your definition of transparency is. It means we can't see what is being done behind closed doors therefore it is transparent. I'm not sure about you but I can see clearly now, without transparency, that this nation doesn't need Obama for four (4) more years. Nor do we need the likes of legislators like Pelosi, Reid, and that band of thieves and pick pockets sitting in seats of power.

In 2012, it's time for some real change. It is time to do some serious house cleaning and get this nation back on a sound fiscal footing where when money is needed you just crank up the printing presses. I'm just "hoping" by election day that I still have some "change" in my pocket. Our heirs are already broke from the time they are born. This is indeed a sad state of affairs we find ourselves in and an empty suit like Obama doesn't have the answers. The goods are the type of goods he promised the American public.

Will I tune in to watch the State of the Union address this Tuesday? Yes I will because as a political writer I will have my BS meter right there with me so I can take note of how many times it pegs out for my analysis of the lies he will once again try to project on the American public.

"The people's business" my arse...

As Always,

The Frog Prince

It Will Peg Off The Meter Once Again
