Mike Pence From Talk Show Host to the White House

Michael Richard Pence, born June of 1959, has evolved from radio talk show host to Vice- President of the United States.

During his college years, Pence claimed that it was Ronald Reagan's "common sense conservatism that he began to identify with and he became an evangelical, born again Christian. As, history recalls, Ronald Reagan was for immigration and amnesty. Pence is definitely not. He earned a law degree and the rest is history.

Pence left the radio world to get into politics, where he ran for Congress, Governor of Indiana and then was hand picked to be the Vice-Presidential running mate of Donald J. Trump.

Homophobia

Pence was rumored to have been a product of "gay conversion therapy" and that it saved his marriage. This has been debunked by several fact checking websites. But his homophobia speaks for itself in the way he votes and his hypocrisy on how he takes from the gay community.

In the year 2000 alone, Pence supported the use of Federal funding to treat people "seeking to change their sexual behavior", with Gay Conversion Therapy, because it seeks to "cure" patients of being attracted to members of the same sex. This "therapy" has been banned in California, Illinois, New Jersey, Oregon, Vermont and Washington DC. The same year, while running for Congress, he said "Congress should oppose any effort to put gay and lesbian relationships on an equal legal status as heterosexual marriage."

In 2004, he co-sponsored an amendment to our Constitution of the United States to define marriage solely between one man and one women.

Then in 2007, he voted against the employment nondiscrimination act. Followed by a vote against Don't Ask Don't Tell because he was in favor of a full ban on openly gay soldiers in the military. A true shame coming from one who never attempted to service in the military and supports Donald Trump who lied to get out of serving in the military. Great gay men and women who want to serve are being denied the right to serve their country of their own free will.

In 2014, Mike Pence supported HJR-3, the amendment to the constitution of Indiana that would ban same sex marriage. Followed by voting against hate crimes legislation that would protect members of the LGBTQ community.

Immigration & Racism

Mike Pence and Kay Bailey Hutchison of Texas proposed a measure in 2006 to delay the path to legal residents already here until specific benchmarks in immigration could be reached. It would appear racist and would have created more hardship in the long term and was turned down.

Fiscal Conservative

Mike Pence was all about cutting taxes and voted continuously to cut funding in order to decrease the deficit. Of course that funding helped the minority. He said, "cutting taxes for the rich is the best anti-poverty program."

Once Mike Pence became a part of the Party of Trump, he learned to lie to LGBTQ community. Talking out one side of his mouth and doing the complete opposite in reality.

Mike Pence attends fundraisers and takes money from Gay Republican organizations and groups; telling them what they want to hear and then along with Donald Trump, the gut every law that protects, defends and helps out the LGBTQ community.

Most recently, a wealthy gay couple who own the Caribou Club in Aspen Colorado held an "intimate" reception and fundraiser where it cost $35,000 per couple and Trump would get $2700 of the money towards his campaign; to meet and hear the lies from Mike Pence. When he was asked about it, he said that the owners sexual orientation wasn't a problem. The Republican Party of Pitkin County also didn't have an issue with it, but in the invitation, they asked their invited guest to spread the word "quietly". As they were expecting at least 25 couples and raising $67,500. for Trump's campaign chest. Just more of the continued hypocrisy from the White House.

Immigration & Racism

America saw Mike Pence give that Oscar winning performance after his border visit and the continued lies of their party. Mike Pence is in his element, after all, he was after this since 2006.

Fiscal Conservative

The White House had blown their budget, vetoed and tried to go over the heads of Congress to spend money and Mike Pence is nowhere to be heard from.

Mike Pence has made it clear that he's dancing with the guy that brung him. The Bromance with Trump is in full swing.
