Republican Party.The Choice Between Mitch Daniels and Rush Limbaugh.

It was apparent to me ,months before the election that the GOP was making the wrong decision by choosing to be held hostage in the election of the presidential candidate to an extreme wing of the party that would not allow any candidate to be chosen that had any chance of being elected president.

So the candidacy of Mitch Daniels goes down in flames before it begins,with a cute excuse of "wanting to spend more time with my family"or it's variation" I love my family more".I believe the fact of Mitch Daniels making comments that he knew would infuriate the extreme right ,saying that the extreme right wasn't going to bring positive results for the republican party in 2012,and calling for a truce in social issues was nothing but a trial balloon to see if his candidacy would be tolerated by the extreme right in control of today's republican party and it's emperor the never enoughly praised ,beloved leader Rush Limbaugh.The answer was loud and clear in the immediate response by the emperor and his mignons.Hannity,Levin,etc..and the millions of dittoheads around the country who assure victory in the primary for a right wing nut, or in the best case scenario an enabler of such extreme views but would at the same time bring not only a second democratic term in the white house for Obama but also an almost certain recovery of the House wich the democrats need to only win 25 seats out of about 99 in dispute, .There's another consequence of this debacle ,and that is to convince people like Chris Christie or other moderate republicans who are not willing to go loonie right to wait it out this time around and save themselves from the wrath and destruction of the attack machine now in the hands of the fanatics,and extremists,who are now already aiming their artillery to destroy another so called RINO by them Jon Huntsman who committed the mortal sin of serving as US ambassador to china,and even going as far as shaking hands with president....... ,dare I say it out loud? Obama.

You better believe there is .If Romney doesn't win in November Mitch Daniels is part of the group of leaders who will try to rebuild the now shrinking republican party and make it once again the Big Tent party, along with people like Chris Christie,Jeb Bush,Jon Huntsman, Michael Steel ,and so many other moderate republicans who have been kicked to the side by the tea partiers and the right wing loon, rush limbaugh ,sean hannity worshiping extremists.And even if he wins I believe the confrontation between the two very different factions within the republican party is inevitable,because the polarization between democrats and republicans will still be present and we will either have total deadlock in which case the moderates will try to convince President romney he needs to negotiate and compromise to get anything done and the base and the teapartiers and pseudo conservatives will urge him to stand strong and not give an inch.And the democrat opposition will want to exercise retribution and make sure the accomplishments of the romney presidency do not materialize unless they are shared with the democratic opposition. So I do believe Mitch Daniels will still be relevant in the future , and although it's not his style he will enjoy when eventually New Jersey governor Chris Christie tells Rush Limbaugh to go do to himself what Clint Eastwood said Romney couldn't do to himself.
