New Abortion Law Proves New York’s Progressive “Values” Are a Malignancy to America

Every family has its black sheep, and just when you think California is the prodigal state in our union, New York steals the baton. On January 22, 2019, the forty-sixth anniversary of Roe versus Wade, New York proudly passed the Reproductive Health Care Act allowing women to have an abortion through the ninth month of pregnancy. While the technical wording legalizes late-term abortion in cases when the mother’s life or “health” is endangered, “health” is ambiguous and undefined. A woman may claim she can’t psychologically cope with parenting due to the loss of sleep and “me time,” or associating with an individual responsible for ruining her ability to fit into her favorite pair of skinny jeans.

Cuomo professes to be a Catholic, but just as some “identify” with a different gender, Cuomo’s identity is more aligned with the Lilin Society—a satanic sect which condones human sacrificing of satan’s adversaries. Apparently, a new life formed by God qualifies as an adversary. Cuomo’s euphoria over the new abortion bill is condemned by Catholic Bishops, like Edward B. Scharfenberger, for being “completely contrary” to the pope and the Catholic Church.

When Cain slew Abel, the bible says Abel’s blood cried out from the ground, figuratively speaking (Genesis 4:10). The Bible warns repeatedly about the shedding of innocent blood. Proverbs 6:16-19 lays out seven things God hates, which include “hands that shed innocent blood.” In fact, Numbers 5:35 reveals a stern warning about this: “Do not pollute the land where you are. Bloodshed pollutes the land, and atonement cannot be made for the land on which blood has been shed, except by the blood of the one who shed it.” When Psalm 106:38 recalls the Israelites mingling with the Canaanites and sacrificing their sons and daughters to idols, it says “the land was desecrated by their blood,” and this defiled the people.

God has not changed. There will be a reckoning for those who continue to shed the innocent blood of the unborn. The blood flows in the streets, and it is defiling our country like a cancer, the malignancy eating away at the moral fiber of our nation. Just because something is legal does not make it right.

Life begins at conception, which is corroborated not only by the bible, but by scientific proof. A baby in the womb is not a glob of cells. It is a life. Unlike first trimester abortions that insert a tube into a woman’s vagina to suction out the baby, or “pregnancy” or “tissue,” as abortion clinics refer to it in non-human terms, late-term abortion is quite different. By this time, the baby is fully formed. A lethal injection is inserted into the baby’s skull or torso. Due to his or her developed nervous system, the baby writhes in agonizing pain until it dies. The next day, the mother receives an ultrasound to verify the baby is dead. If the baby is still alive, another injection is administered to finish it off. The mother still has to deliver the baby, but it is dead on arrival. People show more compassion to animals in our society.

Unless you are a psychopath, this should grieve you to the core and cause you to weep. “Late-term abortion” is merely a softer term for infanticide. The baby is a fully developed human being who can live outside of the womb. Does this cross the line for those who classify themselves as pro-choice? Matt Walsh, a conservative writer, speaker, and author, satirized this heinous New York legislation by suggesting its reach isn’t far enough and that legalizing post-term abortion should be the ultimate goal. His point, of course, is to demonstrate that progressives are never satiated in their thirst for power and destruction of basic values.

What should be a period of mourning for any American who values the sanctity of life, New York celebrates their “success” by lighting up the One World Trade Center and other landmarks with pink light, beckoning other states to follow their lead. Remember when you were following the wrong crowd and your mom asked, “If they told you to jump off a bridge, would you do it?” The same principle is at work here. If ever there was a bandwagon the states should avoid, it’s this one.

New York was the first state to legalize abortion in 1970 and currently holds the record for the highest abortion rate in the country. Based on the latest data from 2013, more African American women in New York have abortions than live births. Let that sink in for a moment. When we are exterminating more lives than we are creating, that has serious long-term implications.

During the 2016 presidential election, Senator Ted Cruz came under fire for truthfully assessing New York’s latent immorality with this sentiment, “…..everyone understands that the values in New York City are socially liberal or pro-abortion or pro-gay marriage, and focus around money and the media.” New York City Mayor, Bill de Blasio heatedly fired back, “The bottom line is he [Ted Cruz] does not understand in the least New York values.” De Blasio is right—anyone with a shred of morality, decency, ethics, standards, or scruples cannot comprehend how a state can undermine and oppose America’s core beliefs at every turn in our pursuit of life, liberty, and happiness. Decent Americans take issue with key New York “values” such as:

• Allowing pregnant teens to have an abortion without parental consent
• Legal ramifications for calling someone by the “incorrect” gender pronoun, i.e. the correct pronoun they are too delusional to accept
• “Free” healthcare to everyone, even criminal invaders, often referred to as “undocumented immigrants,” even though primary caregivers are scarce in many areas already
• Declaring themselves a “sanctuary state,” making their streets less safe for law-abiding citizens
• Making lethal injection of condemned criminals illegal, even though lethal injection is permitted on the innocent unborn

The list truly is endless. The bottom line is that New York has a rich history in propagating unrestrained carnality and licentiousness that oppose our nation’s foundational values instituted through our Constitution via Christian leaders who recognized the magnitude of building on solid ground—a nation operating under God’s principles laid out in His blueprint for justice and righteous living. New York is literally hell-bent on eroding those principles and replacing them with new ones rooted in rebellion and hatred of human life. New York is a well of iniquity celebrating the murder of the unborn, perversity, rights of criminals and illegals over the American people, failed socialist policies, and any other issue that flies in the face of what is good, pure, and holy.

Contact your congressmen and urge them to condemn New York’s new abortion law and to vote against any future legislation in your state that follows suit. Governor Cuomo and the New York legislature celebrates killing fully developed babies based on a pregnant mom’s bad choices and misguided whims. There’s a name we call reprobates who murder and practice infanticide—monsters.
