Nothing Mainstream About the Media

Chiquita is at the Table

Good Morning, Breakfastpoppers. Today is Monday, October 17, 2016. Our noisy and delightful friend, Chiquita, is at the breakfast table this morning. She has prepared a batch of sweet apple pancakes for our enjoyment. I will be serving Irish coffees to add to the pleasure of a good meal. Chiquita has had it with the MSM. She believes a name change is long overdue, because there is nothing at all mainstream about the media. Please join us for breakfast this morning. Chiquita is anxious to talk with all of you. We hope to see you soon.

Psst....

Thanks so much for coming over this morning. The secret is out of the bag. The myth of the mainstream media was fabricated by the mainstream media. To be mainstream is to be in agreement with the prevailing attitudes and values of society. There is nothing mainstream about ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, The New York Times or The Washington Post . They represent the extreme left-wing segment of our nation. They mold the news to spread their propaganda. They omit the news to keep their readers and audiences uninformed and manipulated. They never give another point of view other than their own skewed and biased view, and when it happens that a member of their cult dares to tell a story in a way that is not approved of, trouble hits the fan. They have consistently and relentlessly misrepresented events to bolster their left-wing agenda. The days of Walter Cronkite are long gone. These people masquerading as journalists have betrayed their profession, and in doing so, they have betrayed all of us.

Laughable Coverage

ABC, CBS and NBC spent 4hours and 13 minutes dissecting the recent sexual allegations of misconduct concerning Donald Trump. The bombshell WikiLeaks emails from Hillary's top staff garnered the attention of these networks for 36 minutes in totaL. Their coverage was spotty and light handed, because their goal is to achieve a Clinton presidency. I don't recall them discussing their colleagues who collaborated with the Clinton campaign. CBS invited a New York Times journalist to discuss the emails. The reporter, Mark Leibovich, was, himself, discussed in the leaked emails. Apparently, he asked for Clinton's approval of one of the stories he was writing about her. The silence about all of this was deafening. Regular viewers of this network wouldn't have a clue that anything improper was going on. The behavior of the so-called mainstream media is deplorable. Hillary should have her collaborators in her deplorable basket instead of voters who don't support her. That will never happen, of course. Hillary needs her pals like George Stephanopoulos to do her dirty work and discredit anyone who dares to question her honesty. He did just that when he colluded with the Clinton campaign to discredit Peter Schweizer, the author of "Clinton Cash." The campaign was very pleased with George's work. It seems he followed the advice of Clinton staffers and diminished the importance of the book.

A Big Yawn

The polls are showing us that this is going to be a nail-biter of a race. If the MSM has its way, this will also be an election based upon lies, deliberate fabrications, hideous manipulations and defamation of character. Some voters will go to the polls and decide that Hillary's lies are a big yawn. This group will decide the fate of the rest of the nation who are disgusted with politics as usual. Mention politics and there are tons of people ready to say that everyone is a crook and "they" all lie. I am not naive, but the likes of Hillary Clinton and Bill Clinton make Richard Nixon look like a boy scout. Donald Trump may be a flawed candidate, but he is really all we have. If we allow the Clintons to run things for the next 4 or 8 years, we are throwing our freedoms away once and for all. There are truths to be gotten from this insane mess, but it requires a willingness on the part of the electorate to dig a little deeper. It also requires a willingness to turn off the MSM and seek out alternatives like FOX News. The MSM and President Obama did a great job of maligning the network. I meet people all the time that tell me how biased FOX is. I always ask them if they ever watch it, and the answer is always the same. It is a resounding "NO." I try and tell them that the MSM has brainwashed them, and they should consider stepping outside the box a bit and tuning in. That will never happen, so I guess that's a win for the media and the White House.

Let There Be Light

The election is almost upon us. There is still time for the uninformed, the bored, and the biased to shed some light on some very important issues. No doubt, this is a lousy election. Our choices are terrible, but there is no use whining about it now. I hope that at least some of those I characterized above will venture out of their comfort zone and try to sort out the truth. If they should do so, I am certain they would be shocked to realize how often they have been lied to and used. If I could I would empty out the Halls of Congress. If I could I would ban the MSM from polluting the airwaves and the written word. We deserve better than what we have been given. I don't care what side of the aisle you are on. Who, in their right mind, enjoys being lied to and treated like a moron? There is nothing "mainstream" about most of the media. The MSM should stand for Manipulating Syndicate of Misinformation. If you have a better idea, let me know.

Chiquita's Song

Let's hope that Hillary

Just goes away!
