The Fire Is Still Burning!

Donald Trump eat your heart out. Your birther nonsense and other shameless attention seeking ploys didn’t work.

Tea Baggers drink another cup of bitter tea. Your howling and yelping and calling President Obama a socialist, a communist, a Kenyan, a non Christian, a non American and not qualified to be president, etc, etc ad nauseum, didn’t work.

Those who hate President Obama because he’s black…take that.

Those of you who have legitimate grips about President Obama..I feel your pain...that's how I felt when George W. stole the election..I mean was re-elected.

Carl Rove, who has done all kinds of despicable things to defeat the president, including implying that the election results were flawed...hahaha the joke's on you.

Those of you who said the positive report on the increasing jobs numbers were faked by the administration, ditto for you, same as Carl Rove.

The super pacs who spent billions trying to buy the election, trying to suppress the vote, trying to decrease voter turnout…ouch! Money wasted!

Mitch McConnell, who said the number one goal of the Republican members of Congress was to make President Obama a one term president. No such luck, President Obama is still president. Maybe now you'll come to your senses and try to work with the president to help get the country back on both feet.

And Mitt Romney who shape-shifted your positions so many times, to get people to vote for you. Millions of Americans saw right through you, time wasted!

It wasn’t even close.303 electoral votes to 206

In spite of all the opposition against him, the millions of dollars spent and a massive attempt to suppress the vote.

President Obama still won all but one of the crucial swing states…amazing!

To all those Obama haters who kept leaving nasty, insulting comments about President Obama on my hubs and about how sad I was gonna be on election day cause you were so sure he would lose.

You were wrong big time!

Who's sad now?

If you were so sure you were right about that but were wrong big time.

Don't you think it’s possible you might be wrong about other things you think about President Obama as well?

Oh no, no, that’s can’t be true…you wouldn’t admit that would you?

Those of you who say President Obama hasn't done anything to help the country.

You seem to be suffering from amnesia or purposeful forgetting.

Let me Jog your memory.

Remember when President Obama took office, how all the news headlines were that America was about to go down like the Titanic?

Saying that President Obama hasn't done anything for the country, is like saying that, if the captain of the Titanic had saved the Titanic, that because the ship was damaged and in need of repair, that he really didn't save it, even though he keep it from sinking to the bottom of the ocean!

The stock market was tanking.

General Motors and Chrysler were about to go out of business.

We were losing hundreds of thousands of jobs a day.

The country was in a panic.

Is that the situation today?

Let me answer that...no it isn't.

President Obama has done a lot for the country (there is still more that needs to be done)

He saved the country from going down like the Titanic as the doomsayers were predicting it was about to do.

If you can't see that, that desperate situation is no longer upon us. What do you need eyes for?

Mitt Romney nor anyone else could not have repaired all of that damage in four years, especially if they had certain members of congress, intentionally opposing anything they tried to do to improve the situation, to make them look bad in the eyes of the American public.

This is President Obama last term, maybe now, Mitch McConnell and the boys will stop opposing him and start helping him make things better for all of us, they way they should have been doing in the first place!

For those of you who kept the faith, supported and voted for President Obama

Way to go!

This is your triumph as well as the President's and the United States

Congrats President Obama!

Great win!

Keep up the good work!

      Nope not a fanatic.

But the critics were so overly sure of themselves because of hate, dislike or whatever, that they couldn't see straight, and where shocked and in denial when Romney lost.

So that's why they needed to get a little comeuppance for being so blinded by their emotions

I get what you are saying vveasey. And it is good to know that you are not one of the fanatics I have come across singing praises to Obama like is the Savior. Well, I guess depending on how you look at it he is the savior. I know not the savior of humankind. That is Jesus. He was voted in to office to be our savior from this crisis. I anticipate how he will do this. I am still way from singing praises to his name or making songs about him. If he turns this financial ship aright I will be making art in his honor too.

Thanks I respect what you said

I would not insult President Obama's words or him in anyway unless I thought he was wrong or saying something crazy.

This was all about me (and not the President) responding to all the haters and naysayers who left nasty, insulting comments on my hubs about President Obama, prior to his re-election, getting their comeuppance.

Of course I could make my own hub, I did. vveasey, I had just listened to Obama's victory speech and then read you hub. I felt you hub insulted the presidents words and became offended. I understand your intentions now. I have said this before and I say it here again. I always support the president of the Nation after he is elected no matter if he is my choice or not. When he ran for re-election I wanted a Mitt Romney in the office because I though he would do a better job, in fact I still do.

Obama is the president though, and he has my loyalty.

      thanks for the love!

the naysayers need to face the music for being so arrogant and sure of themselves

They deserve to get their comeuppance

I didn't know that! He seems to have a problem with offending people in general. I would love to see all that. I actually lived in Scotland for a couple years, I also visited London in my late teens and adore that country in general...few years ago I lived in Germany for 2 years and I have to say they just in general (like us BUT) think we are a bit naive and I bet didn't like Romney that much. They didn't seem to have an issue with Obama as much as I thought they would. Well glad it wasn't just some of this nation that saw this flip flopping

When Romney went on his so-called "foreign" policy tour, this was supposed give Mitt something to tout when he continued his campaign back in the U.S.

But he insulted the British when he questioned their readiness to host the Olympics!

The British papers jumped all over him

The Sun Tabloid called him "Mitt the Twit," and a "wannabe president."

The Independent, called Romney's trip, "Romney shambles" saying in addition to Romney committing a diplomatic gaffe, he did the "the cardinal sin of U.S. politics, flip-flopping" on his criticism.

The Daily Telegraph said, Romney's ineptness has overshadowed his purpose for coming to London.

The conservative Daily Mail called Romney " devoid of charm, offensive and a wazzock (a foolish or annoying person)

These may be some of reasons the rest of world are celebrating his defeat in his bid to be president

fen lander that means a lot coming from someone who isn't a citizen of the United States. I agree about the grammar issues but if your intent was an intelligent rant I agree as well that you accomplished your goal. Some things lose its impact when not delivered the way you would in person because it lacks non-verbal communication techniques and the way you wrote it I could envision you delivering it. And the way people were acting during the election IS shameless. THAT is what is sad, and I think its great Obama admitted he learned something, I stand by that I think he is a great man...a good person...I think that was missed through all of this.

I am surprised actually that people around the world celebrated his victory because my impression from Romney supporters who spoke this point loudly at some times in all of this, is that the world thought Obama an idiot and that we were going down in flames as a nation if he was re-elected so that actually gives me some settled emotions in this whole ordeal

      thanks for the heads up.

I wrote this the way I thought and talked it

Sometimes it feels good to rant. And this is an intelligent rant.

I'm just pointing out all the things that people actually said and did.

303 electral votes to 206 to me is going down in flames.

you have the right to disagree.

And you can always write your own hub with your views on the subject if you don't like mine.

Structurally, I suggest you edit your hub. There are quite a few grammatical errors. It will make your argument more intelligent and less like a rant, which it is a rant. Please take my advice and delete this comment once you are done editing. I am here to help. I may not like what you say, but you have every right to say it.

I support President Obama but this is shameless. If you did not listen to the presidents victory speech you should. He did not gloat, but invited all Americans to come to the table with him. He even said that he would sit down with Mitt Romney and ask for advice on how he thinks the nation could better work. He said that he learned something from this election from all of us. I voted for Mitt Romney. This did not go down in flames. It was a close race if you don't recall. The 2008 election is what you are remembering going doing in flames and I vote for John McCain then

The president offered and olive branch and what you offer is division. Get on board with the president and stop the division. I did not like your hub at all.

I won't disclose my final vote to anyone as I didn't like the hostility I recived as an Obama supporter...but I will say that I hope that this shows that there are other things this nation needs and maybe Romney can't give us that. Whatever the reason you voted for who you did or whatever reason you think Obama is the Anti-Christ or those things people said about him being evil...truth is he did his best and he failed on some levels and succeeded on others and I believe as a man, he is a good person. Many disagree with me, and I do think both candidates had much to offer because I tried to look at things from both angles despite my support to a candidate. Maybe he needs the next four years to show what he knows he can accomplish. Four years isn't very long and a lot of blame landed on his shoulders and some was his doing and some he inherited and couldn't deal with yet. I wish him luck, congratulations on another term, and I hope he can show in the next four years that some put their foot in their mouth. He could turn out to be the best we ever had, and he could be the worst...but another four years I have always felt would show more than these first four.
