Operation Castaway

Updated on July 14, 2011

No, He Wouldn't Cover Up Anything, Would He?

This Isn't About Gilligan's Island Folks!

It seems that Operation Fast and Furious. conducted by the DOJ and BATFE, might just have a twin. Double your pleasure, double your guns, with government cover-up, cover-up just for fun. While we were looking over there, look and see what has been going on over here. This whole fiasco seems to be running deep with the Obama administration and the deeper it gets the more seems to be revealed. There needs to be some serious casting away going on from the top down. I call it taking out the garbage that should have not ever gotten in the house in the first place.

Reports are surfacing fast and furiously now about Operation Castaway. It seems that the Tampa field office of the ATF may have been conducting a companion operation of running guns into Central America, specifically to Honduras. It seems that approximately 1,000 guns were sold to violent drug gangs in Honduras. As the Congressional investigation continues to dig deeper into Fast and Furious, the dirt coming out of the hole stinks even more than I thought it did. But then again, the Obama administration seems to be inhabited by cesspool dwellers so it doesn't surprise me. Honduras today, the rest of the world tomorrow.

What is the grander plan in all of this? There has to be something behind the scenes going on here that stinks to high heaven. It's interesting to note that the acting head of the ATF, Kenneth Melson, testified that the federal government never tracked the guns in the first place. Now that amounts to true gun walking. Sell them and forget them then fire them and forget when they arrive in the hands of known criminals. Then the power that be can contend that all those big, bad firearms originated in this country and we need to do something about that, the Second Amendment be damned. That's what I smell.

This is an excerpt from a reliable source who is blowing the whistle on Virginia O'Brien, the head of the ATF field office in Tampa regarding Operation Castaway:

"but our source is certain that O’Brien has allowed the “walking” of straw-purchased firearms to Honduras using the same failed strategy as the Phoenix Field Division’s Operation Fast and Furious. That Operation Castaway involved arms smuggling to Honduras is also certain

This is confirmed as accurate,” the correspondence continued. “There are emails in existence where O’Brien has advised those involved that Tampa does not have to report their walked guns because Tampa FD is not a part of Southwest Border or Project Gunrunner.”

“From a first person source she is sh*tting herself trying to cover it up,” the report stated."

All this Frog can say is WOWSER! It seems that this can of worms is a jumbo sized, idiotic attempt at a gun grab here in our own nation. The walked guns are now alleged to be turning up all over the planet we call earth. And we, the dumb American public, are just supposed to bite the hook and believe that this was nothing more than this administration's attempt to stomp out violence and drug gangs? I'm not biting and I'll tell you why.

Go back to what Holder's fall guy, Melson, testified to: "the federal government never tracked the guns in the first place." So what was the intent of any of these operations and how many more occurred or are still occurring?

Maybe somebody has the answer. The DOJ and ATF aren't talking.

Guns With Feet And No Passport In Sight

Congressman Gus Bilirakis from Florida who sits on the House Committee on Homeland Security and Foreign Affairs is a bit incensed. He said, "he finds it “troubling” that the U.S. government would “willfully allow weapons to be acquired by dangerous criminal and drug trafficking organizations in direct contravention to our strategic and national interests.”

Troubling doesn't quite describe my reaction to all of this. People, some of our own, are being killed by this recklessness.

Bilirakis asked Holder and the ATF to confirm whether Operation Castaway occurred and if so what monitoring/tracking process they used to follow these guns into Honduras. He also wants to know if Operation Castaway has been terminated. With the stone walling and cover up that is occurring regarding Fast and Furious and Operation Gun Runner I hope Gus doesn't hold his breath while he's waiting for the truth. After all, Holder is the Attorney General and he wouldn't know the truth if it came up and bit him in the butt.

The Frog shakes his head in disgust and hops off...

I'd Say "Somethings Happening Here"
