POP is at the Stove

Good Morning, Breakfastpoppers. Today is Saturday, June 23, 2018. I am at the stove this morning because the bugs are attending a retreat to soothe their aching little hearts. Our nation is under siege. Our southern border is suffering an invasion. Most of the invaders are unaccompanied children of all ages. Please join me for breakfast this morning to talk about this incredibly pressing issue. I am preparing Golden Quesadillas for your enjoyment. Mexican coffees will accompany the meal to take the edge off a very troubling problem. Come over as soon as possible. I'll leave the door open.

A Country Without Borders

Thanks so much for joining me this morning. This is a crisis at our southern border of epic proportions. Thousands of unaccompanied children are crossing into our nation. A couple of thousand are actually with their parents, or at least people who claim to be their parents. The others were sent on an incredibly dangerous journey, usually accompanied by human traffickers. What kind of parent knowingly places their children in such abject danger? Let's not underestimate the trouble these children are facing along the way. They are being raped and abused in unspeakable ways. Imagine the terror a child as young as five experiences on such a dangerous trip that forces them to travel hundreds and hundreds of miles. The left blames President Trump for the problems of the kids. Let's place the blame where it belongs, and it is not with our president.

Child Abuse

The first people to get the blame for this fiasco are the parents who blithely hand over their children to human traffickers. You have to be an animal to do that kind of thing. Even animals protect their young, but these so-called parents are a different breed of animal. They drag their children to the border knowing that they are breaking the law. They know they will be separated from their children and yet, they do it anyway. What kind of parents are these people?

The practice of separating children from their law breaking parents is nothing new. Prior administrations did the exact same thing. After all, in our nation if you rob a WAWA your kids don't go to prison with you. In the case of the immigrant children, their separation from their lousy parents is only temporary. Not so for the grieving parents of children who have been killed by illegal aliens. There are thousands upon thousands of such parents. Where is the sympathy for them? They will not be re-united with their kids in 20 days. They will only get to visit with them in the cemetery. or in an urn on their mantle.

A Nation of Laws

President Trump has sworn to protect and defend our nation. That means you and me. It does not mean those that seek entrance into our nation illegally. Millions of Americans came to our nation from other places. They obeyed the laws. They waited their turn, and when it was time they raised their hands and swore allegiance to our country, to their adopted country. They did it the right way, and the nation grew because of their contributions and achievements. We are a kind and compassionate people, but if we turn our backs on our laws, our citizens will suffer. We cannot let people we know nothing about swarm over our borders. We cannot let people we know nothing about take up residence in our cities, apply for welfare, food stamps and Medicaid. We can't do it. We can't afford it in so many ways. Our schools will be overcrowded and the quality of our education will radically decline. Our healthcare system will be overwhelmed. Our children will be facing new diseases we are unfamiliar with, and old ones that have resurfaced. Our terrific economy will take a huge hit and our safety will be endangered. There is a right way to deal with this problem, and then there is the wrong way. For decades, our politicians have refused to tackle illegal immigration. They kicked the can down the road, and now they are at the end of the road. We finally have a president willing to solve the problem, but that is a huge dilemma for a do nothing Congress that runs away from the problem. Every single one of them should be kicked out of Washington. They are disingenuous phonies who care only about themselves. All this public outcry about the suffering children is complete bull.

Phony Outrage

Those on the left in this country are chomping at the bit to get on the immigration bandwagon. They keep running up against the truth on every false issue they moan about. It seems that Russian collusion has lost popularity, so now its the children at the border being wrenched out of the loving arms of their adoring parents. They are salivating at the thought of open borders. They circulate phony pictures of crying children. The ones depicting children in cages came from the Obama era. The one of the little girl crying at the border failed to mention that she was with her parent. They cry and bang their hands in frustration, but it never occurs to them that this problem was created long ago. Their beloved Obama didn't do a thing to help this situation. Either did their beloved Bill Clinton. President Bush didn't do a damn thing either. The point of all this is that it is now or never. President Trump has made it crystal clear that he wants to solve this problem. If this issue isn't solved, I would love to see all the members of Congress who obstructed a solution jailed. They came to Washington under false pretenses, and they have betrayed our nation. For that matter, I'd like to see the MSM knocked off the air forever. They contribute nothing of value to our national dialogue. I said it before, and I'll say it again. Settle down Congress and for once in your pathetic lives, do something of value.
