POP is at the Stove

Good Morning, Breakfastpoppers. Today is Saturday, June 23, 2018. I am at the stove this morning because the bugs are attending a retreat to soothe their aching little hearts. Our nation is under siege. Our southern border is suffering an invasion. Most of the invaders are unaccompanied children of all ages. Please join me for breakfast this morning to talk about this incredibly pressing issue. I am preparing Golden Quesadillas for your enjoyment. Mexican coffees will accompany the meal to take the edge off a very troubling problem. Come over as soon as possible. I'll leave the door open.

Source

A Country Without Borders

Thanks so much for joining me this morning. This is a crisis at our southern border of epic proportions. Thousands of unaccompanied children are crossing into our nation. A couple of thousand are actually with their parents, or at least people who claim to be their parents. The others were sent on an incredibly dangerous journey, usually accompanied by human traffickers. What kind of parent knowingly places their children in such abject danger? Let's not underestimate the trouble these children are facing along the way. They are being raped and abused in unspeakable ways. Imagine the terror a child as young as five experiences on such a dangerous trip that forces them to travel hundreds and hundreds of miles. The left blames President Trump for the problems of the kids. Let's place the blame where it belongs, and it is not with our president.

Source

Child Abuse

The first people to get the blame for this fiasco are the parents who blithely hand over their children to human traffickers. You have to be an animal to do that kind of thing. Even animals protect their young, but these so-called parents are a different breed of animal. They drag their children to the border knowing that they are breaking the law. They know they will be separated from their children and yet, they do it anyway. What kind of parents are these people?

The practice of separating children from their law breaking parents is nothing new. Prior administrations did the exact same thing. After all, in our nation if you rob a WAWA your kids don't go to prison with you. In the case of the immigrant children, their separation from their lousy parents is only temporary. Not so for the grieving parents of children who have been killed by illegal aliens. There are thousands upon thousands of such parents. Where is the sympathy for them? They will not be re-united with their kids in 20 days. They will only get to visit with them in the cemetery. or in an urn on their mantle.

Source

A Nation of Laws

President Trump has sworn to protect and defend our nation. That means you and me. It does not mean those that seek entrance into our nation illegally. Millions of Americans came to our nation from other places. They obeyed the laws. They waited their turn, and when it was time they raised their hands and swore allegiance to our country, to their adopted country. They did it the right way, and the nation grew because of their contributions and achievements. We are a kind and compassionate people, but if we turn our backs on our laws, our citizens will suffer. We cannot let people we know nothing about swarm over our borders. We cannot let people we know nothing about take up residence in our cities, apply for welfare, food stamps and Medicaid. We can't do it. We can't afford it in so many ways. Our schools will be overcrowded and the quality of our education will radically decline. Our healthcare system will be overwhelmed. Our children will be facing new diseases we are unfamiliar with, and old ones that have resurfaced. Our terrific economy will take a huge hit and our safety will be endangered. There is a right way to deal with this problem, and then there is the wrong way. For decades, our politicians have refused to tackle illegal immigration. They kicked the can down the road, and now they are at the end of the road. We finally have a president willing to solve the problem, but that is a huge dilemma for a do nothing Congress that runs away from the problem. Every single one of them should be kicked out of Washington. They are disingenuous phonies who care only about themselves. All this public outcry about the suffering children is complete bull.

Source

Phony Outrage

Those on the left in this country are chomping at the bit to get on the immigration bandwagon. They keep running up against the truth on every false issue they moan about. It seems that Russian collusion has lost popularity, so now its the children at the border being wrenched out of the loving arms of their adoring parents. They are salivating at the thought of open borders. They circulate phony pictures of crying children. The ones depicting children in cages came from the Obama era. The one of the little girl crying at the border failed to mention that she was with her parent. They cry and bang their hands in frustration, but it never occurs to them that this problem was created long ago. Their beloved Obama didn't do a thing to help this situation. Either did their beloved Bill Clinton. President Bush didn't do a damn thing either. The point of all this is that it is now or never. President Trump has made it crystal clear that he wants to solve this problem. If this issue isn't solved, I would love to see all the members of Congress who obstructed a solution jailed. They came to Washington under false pretenses, and they have betrayed our nation. For that matter, I'd like to see the MSM knocked off the air forever. They contribute nothing of value to our national dialogue. I said it before, and I'll say it again. Settle down Congress and for once in your pathetic lives, do something of value.

I’m with you on that thought. Truth is Trump is probably 35 years too late to save America. Really, if you think he is under daily attack just imagine what it will be like when he is gone - if the Republicans are still in office it will be worse than what they are doing to Trump - cause the only game they have left is hate.

The trouble with that Brad is no matter what country we try to help by giving them money for anything, the corrupt leaders and governments of those countries simply use that money to make themselves rich and laugh at us on the way to the bank. That was what Trump said 35 years ago (in that interview I posted on the other hubpage) bothered him about what goes on with our government. Like Trump says, 35 years ago too, he’s tired of seeing this country get ripped off, we make other people live like kings while we’re not.

There is always a solution but 9 times out of ten you won’t get it from the government - maybe we should outsource immigration and border control,

Reading your comment gave me an idea.

Why don't we focus on helping these people in their own country. Mexico would be a perfect place to start.

It would be far cheaper for the US to pay Mexico for taking the illegals back to their country.

Yes,I know that countries south of Mexico are also coming in illegally. But they are coming through Mexico first. Mexico doesn't allow them to stay there, the just allow them so much time to get across the US border. This is where the wall would make that much more difficult.

These two procedures couldn't be any worse than what we have today.

      Just a thought.

Audrey, heartsick with the application of the immigration law? I am too, it should never have been passed by the Democrat congress and should have been changed by every congress thereafter.

What makes me even more heartsick is the inhumane treatment of these children (by their own parents) the vast majority of which are sent here without their parents and so subjected by their parents to all kinds of child abuse by coyotes and human traffickers their parents hand them over too. The fact that we have to seperate those children from people who claim to be their parents and aren’t to protect them makes me proud of our efforts while I wonder what kind of parent would bring their children here knowing they may be seperated. Maybe those parents do it because they know here their children, if seperated, will get better care, food and shelter than if they stayed with their parents.

      Good Morning brad,

It all just comes down to common sense, which is sorely lacking these days. This big deal about the illegals is phony. I don't believe that any of these leftist crying loons really gives a damn about any of them. They see votes. They see something to scream about, but what they don't see is the truth. I'll take that egg cream, now. It reminds me of simpler times.

      I have mentioned my solution.

      Catch and Return

      Families stay together

Consider that the true number of legitimate Asylum immigrants are in the thousands, while illegal aliens number in the millions.

This country has a homeless problem, and why aren't we working on their solution.

The same people that pay for all of these illegal aliens, including the ones like MS13 that kill, and rape, and others that commit felonies, are the same people that should redirect those payments to the border wall. The border wall slows down the billions of dollars of illegal drugs into the country. These drugs cause an indirect problem in the US because of drug addiction, and illegal drug enforcement etc.

Those people are the American Taxpayer.

      Egg Creams all around!

People on the ground who have gone to these shelters say the treatment is quite humane. They are receiving education and medical care. Those who have parents here will be re-united. The thousands of others who were sent here alone are a big, big problem.

I used to get into it with them, a worthless endeavor but that was before the internet. Then I kept born again Christian tracts by the door and when they came offering me their watchtower publication I’d say sure if you’ll take one of these. Then they’d run as fast as they could because they believed born agains are demon possessed. Now all I do is say I’ll take you to lunch and listen to what you have to say if you’ll go home, google JW CULT, read what you find and then come back and explain to me why JW isn’t a cult. The most frequent answer I got was I don’t have access to the internet or a computer (like that’s not a red flag, lol) but no one has ever come back, even though new ones come to my door every year without fail. I guess what I asked of them isn’t worth saving my soul. Knocking on doors is hard enough!

I Do have something to add, however minor it may be. Speaking of "non-voters" and their multiple reasons for not complying with this privilege & right ( besides the fact that they are slugs) Don't forget the brainless Jehovah's Witnesses who do not vote, MUST not vote & will never vote....nor join any military, salute the flag or recognize any earthly government whatsoever. As of 2014, in the USA they numbered approx.1,200,000. Not a lot, but enough to count. These "conscientious objectors" are the same looney tunes who will stand by and watch their own child die if keeping them alive means a blood transfusion. Way to go Mom and Dad!! Even our friend Bugs Bunny would say, "what a bunch of Maroons!"

So actually, that these cuckoos don't vote is a BLESSING. BTW, since I'm no politician & will never need votes from anyone, I do NOT apologize for anything I've said. I have a sign on my front door that reads: We have a 100- pound killer pit bull that has been trained to attack with the simple command, "JW's !!!" Proselytize your Butts OFF MY PROPERTY.

You know, thinking about separating the children how stupid is the Trump administration? Separating the children was an Obama administration practice wasn’t it? In 2014 Obama separated 24000 children from their parents under that law. How hard would it have been for the ag to say to Trump,”look at what the Democrats have been doing for eight years, separating children from their parents, let’s stop it and point out that we’re stopping another inhumane (like Obamacare) Obama administration practice!”

This has always been a problem with Republicans. Despite the obvious (how the left will portray and attack everything they do) they never look for it and ways they can preempt what they know the left will do and why do they continue to accept and implement any Democrat practice after they get in office? If it’s a bad law, don’t keep doing it, change it - the Republicans will never learn. I would have loved instead of seeing all the talking heads attacking Trump on this and making it a race issue, some interviewers asking Obama or his surrogates “ how could you let this inhumane law and practice go on under your administration?” Well at least you might have seen it on Fox.

      Yes.

      My view is that because the anti Trump want to focus on illegal aliens and their children instead of Americans and America, I suggest the following;

The new immigration policy for America is that for every illegal alien that we let stay in the country, the anti Trumper have to send one of their family, friends, relatives etc, to the country of the illegal alien. This will keep our population the same, and that is only fair.

The current anti Trump illegal alien plan is one illegal alien sneaks across the border, and the anti Trump hides them. Then the anti Trump say that this illegal alien can chain migrate their family and friends into the US.

Anyone that is going to vote democrat now and in the future should be included in the transfer program that I have suggested here.

BTW, with every person that is traded across the border, they will be given a copy of the US Constitution so they could be aware of the difference from the US.

Or in the alternate, a more simple plan.

Just declare that all anti Trump people are Domestic Terrorists and send them to Cuba, well you know what part of Cuba:)

      Just kidding:)

Pop...TSAD is correct when he said that there is an unexploited base of voter-eligible but non-registered voters in the US which Pew research tells us that it numbers in the 26% range...Here is what they found out about why they did not register: The unregistered were more likely to say they do not vote because they dislike politics or believe voting will not make a difference, while people who are registered but vote infrequently say they do not vote more often because they are not informed enough about the candidates or issues. Both of these issues, again agreeing with TSAD, are exploitable, or, using the more equitable term, motivational... Oddly enough, Pew also found that 60% of both non-registered and registered voters were NEVER asked to register...

Perhaps that is the factor TSAD is looking for...Public awareness programs, definitive motor-voter laws for ease of registering, and good old Social Studies classes that teach personal responsibilities in a civilized society, all would go a long way increasing voter participation...

      Good Article.

I of course have some comments:)

"The first people to get the blame for this fiasco are the parents who blithely hand over their children to human traffickers."

I believe that this should be the first people to get the blame, but the media and the left ignore that. They don't really care about the truth, they only care that this is an issue they can hang on Trump.

If these were American parents doing this, you know that social services would taking control. And by control, the first thing they would do is separate the children from the parents because of their child abuse.

Ironic, that they would do this in America, and that is the way it has been done for a very long time. Child services are the sole determiners of child welfare. Some times they get it right, but many times they get it wrong.

Maybe we should focus on what the American government does to people in our country that are here legally, and compare it to what is being claimed on what we do for illegal aliens.

If we do the same thing for illegal alien children by separating them from their parents, then isn't that Equal Treatment under the Law?

I have to go with maven on this issue. If non-voters decide to vote it will be because they are getting an immediate reward of some kind. The problems of the nation hold no interest for them. A better way to serve this nation would be a campaign to get the libs to form their own country. They could allow anyone they wanted, which would be everybody in. Of course they would have to figure out how to build a nation, an economy and all the rest that goes along with governing. Ah, I can dream can't I? See you at the Inn.

TSAD...How do you motivate folks that are incapable of being motivated, by anything.?...Besides, motivating these dumbed down folks to vote would require them being shown the benefits they would receive, not what the nation needs, but what they need or want...58% of registered voters actually voted in 2016...Historically, the mid terms will garner even less; 37%, in what may be, in 2018, an even more important vote that will allow (or not allow) President Trump to honor his promises to his supporters...

Do you really want to form a new party with these self-serving, hedonistic, and politically lazy folks..? Didn't think so...

An accurate assessment but your description of non voters is an observation, now the thing to do is brain storm possible ways to fundamentally change that observation. That is how problems are solved. The moon is too far away to travel there was an observation but technology, money and genius took us there. There is no reason we can’t solve a simple problem of voter apathy with technology, money and the key ingredient - genius. The problem is the genius or geniuses need altruistic motivation for which they won’t get immediate gratification. Non voters simply need motivation to vote and even I can come up with dozens of possible motivations and ways to implement them. Someone could do this I know it, and the reward would be epic.

I have talked to people like this, and they don't know a thing and prefer to leave things as they are. As for the libs, I realized this morning that wondering why they are so blind is really quite simple. They are the product of the dumbing down of America. We already have a third party. It’s made up of eligible voters that are people who don’t vote! This is the largest party but because they aren’t organized as a party and they don’t vote nobody cares about them. Unite them with malcontents from the Republican (and Democrat party) and those two parties will cease to be a factor, maybe eventually cease to exist. You can’t tell me that in today’s world of technological and creative advancements this can’t be done - if Billionares can be made in one generation of young geniuses starting a company working out of their garage why not a third party out of non voters? The only reason is no one has tried although the Democrats do a pretty good job of buying non votes with freebies, policies that exchange liberty for government dependence and driving people, who would otherwise not vote, to the polls.

These non voters (and put in that party people who don’t even register to vote) are a silent majority, huge majority, and if someone could reach them and make them understand that United to not vote simply because you think your vote doesn’t matter is so opposite of the truth, if non voters united as a party.

Being new at this activist approach, what would it take to launch a third party..? Coalition of Conservatives, Libertarians, Constitutionals, and Greens..? We would need a platform that appeals to and would be supported by most Americans... Sadly, name recognition is the most significant contributor to political election and spokespersons for this new party would be hard to find...I can think of a few, but the mass media, both commercial and social, would marginalize any attempt to establish such...

I conclude we are stuck with the devil we know, and as such we must make do with what we have...And Trump is the best we have, for now...

      Pop,

I fear the left has lost any last vestige of sanity they ever possessed. They are engaging in incitement to chaos and murder with their hateful name calling and public displays of phony outrage.

Their Trump derangement has morphed into a full blown psychosis of hatred for all things Trump including his supporters.

      Good morning Pop!

I'm in total agreement. How's that for a shocker? All nations protect and patrol their borders, so why should our border be any different? I actually have nothing against building The Wall, either. At the very least it will put people to work building the damned thing.

      Have a great weekend!

POP: thanks for giving the bugs a weekend retreat to regroup. They work so hard...

Along with the crying child that was with her mother, and Time magazine not taking back their cover, is the victims of illegal aliens that are being ignored. Our President is correct, as usual.

The real trouble makers are the Republicans themselves; they won't stand with the President on this, and won't work together to resolve the issue. they are no better than the Democrats. Before this week, I felt that the Republicans would retain both houses; now, after the Democrats lie and no one speaks up, except our President, I am uncertain if we will win this election. Mostly everyone knows that the Democrats are lying, but the Republican wimps won't stand up to them. I am sick of them all. If the Republicans stood up and stated the truth, the media would be forced to finally acknowledge them.

In the meantime, our country is going to hell.

I need to get to the Inn and calm down, or maybe meet the bugs at their retreat.....
