Search for "new words"

Do a Google search for "new words" and one of the links you'll find is to Merriam-Webster's online dictionary.

Their most recent list of new words is from their 2006 edition of the Merriam-Webster's Collegiate®Dictionary, Eleventh Edition. It's a bit of a surprise that they don't have something more current, but this will do. They boast of "nearly 100 new words".  It seems that more new words would come out annually, don't you think?  Most of the people I know with high IQ's seem to have incredible vocabularies.

Here's a new word, born October 24, 2010: POLITIBACY.  It comes along just in time for the World Series and the mid-term elections.

Not for me, I am " old school ", don't use words that I can't spell or easily define.

What a fantastic way to put into one word what so many people "practice"-myself included

Just yesterday, someone asked me if I was looking forward to the mid-term elections, and my reply included this word. "My wife and I practice politibacy...and blah, blah, blah."

I think I would have a hard time working the word into a conversation. I understand the sentiment though.
