Buzzy Prepares Breakfast

Good Morning, Breakfastpoppers. Today is Monday, June 11, 2018. Our gifted friend, Buzzy, is in the kitchen this morning preparing Banana Crunch French Toast for your enjoyment. Buzzy has taken short trips around the nation, and has come home completely dismayed by the onslaught of fake news and animus concerning President Trump and his family. In order to dispel his anxiety about this matter, he has asked for the pleasure of your company this morning. Your wise ways and understanding hearts soothe his soul. Please hurry over as quickly as you can. The French toast is best when it's warm.

Stop the Press!

Thanks so much for joining me this morning. It's been a rather exhausting week for me. All the ugly and false talk about President Trump and his family has affected my ability to completely enjoy the successes that this most unusual and talented man has accomplished. President Trump is in the midst of a most historic meeting with North Korea. Regardless of the outcome, he deserves high praise for making this happen. No matter what happens the MSM, which includes the press and the pundits on television, will never give him the credit he deserves. They may have a right to their opinions, but do they have a right to subvert the facts and lie to the American people? What exactly is freedom of the press?

Source

When Freedom Destroys the Truth

Freedom of the Press is supposed to respect the right to publish and distribute factual information and opinion. It applies to the printed word, television and social media. What happens when what is printed is fabricated? What happens when the lies spread like wildfire? In my view, we all lose, but the real losers are those that believe and embrace the lies. Rolling Stone writer Jamil Smith has suggested in print that Melania Trump's absence from the public eye could be about abuse. He goes on to state that her husband, our president, has a history of abusing women, including his wives. Is this freedom of the press? I think it is vicious, irresponsible conduct that should have consequences. He is guilty of disseminating vile and salacious lies, yet he will remain employed. Those that read his junk will become even more brainwashed than they already are. The best case scenario would be for the paper to lose its readership and go under, way under. His remarks represent yellow journalism at its worst. Smith made up a story and tried to spread it around. Fake news is disgusting, but it is used so often that it is tolerated by those with a real bias against our president, his family, and those that support them. If there are any true journalists around anymore, they should be horrified by this trend, and they should use their public access to destroy the liars.

Source

Puppet on a String

The abundance of fake news has led to the polarization of our people. When the facts are blurred, and the truth up for debate, it becomes impossible to function as intelligent thinking people. If citizens ascribe to watching only channels that hate President Trump, in time, they will become puppets of that channel. They will have lost the ability or even desire to question what they are being told. They will turn a blind eye to the increased money in their paycheck, or the new opportunities for growth in their lives. Luckily, there still are a significant number of people who respect the truth and are not afraid to do the research in search of the truth. Our economy is better now. In fact, it is humming along beautifully. Only a fool would say that it wasn't. Nancy Pelosi is such a fool, because she doesn't believe that higher pay and increased jobs mean anything. We will have turned a corner in this country when people of her ilk are no longer elected to office. I pray that day comes soon.

Source

Strike Up the Band

The good news is that there really is good news, despite those with their collective heads in the swamp. President Trump is accomplishing more than any other president in our history. The economy is fantastic. Bill Mahr is hoping the economy crashes! I imagine he is not alone. Clearly, most of the Dems and a few Republicans might enjoy a Trump failure. That alone speaks volumes about the his or her right mind roots for failure. Only losers do that.

In the meantime, the American people are benefitting from a president who truly has his hands and mind on the pulse of the people. He is getting things done. He is righting wrongs. He is unstoppable in terms of his energy and his accomplishments. If those who choose to despise him refuse to recognize the truth, perhaps they should turn down their offer of a job, refuse a raise and give up the idea of starting a new business free of mind-bending regulations. They do not have to enjoy the fruits of the president's labors. The truth is I don't think they should! Let the good times roll!

Buzzy's Song

The moment I wake up

Before I stretch my wings

I say a little prayer for you....

You know the press, all of Trump haters, NEVER speak of his accomplishments but spend all their effort on things he may have said (opinions of which is seldom an exercise in objectivity) or innuendo and unproven accusations because no one can credibly criticize what he has accomplished as president which can be found right here,

      promiseskept.com

and there would be much more if it weren’t for democrats’ opposition to everything he tries to do.

The real revelation of the press and the Democrats’ hypocrisy is that all those who want to make an issue of his marriages or treatment of women are the same people who supported Clinton throughout his history of sexual assault, and supported his wife who enabled him and went to great lengths to cover up his philandering heaping praise on the both of them right up until the end of the 2016 election. They have no high horse to climb upon when attacking Trump who by any comparison to the Clintons looks like an alter boy.

Hi, and I have had the same hp rules on title, They want you to capitalize each word in the sentence and this has not always been enforced! Maybe it is the Maven HP merge. And that is what hp Title help does but it doesn't do a good job.

For example, I had the US in my title and after their bot did their change it came out as "Us".

To me, what an author does to the title should be left to the author and their style.

And I have the bulk of my 100 plus articles not featured. Yet, there is no way to determine what their bot didn't like about their quality. I have made many different changes, including taking out capsules and I follow their style guide on the number of words, pictures etc, But to no avail.

POP is an anomaly, because of the high hubber score and all the articles are featured. The one difference between Pop and us is that we go to the resistance on their turf, and they report us. I think we are on the no feature list:)

      -------------------------------------

      Pop

I was watching Dick Morris on you tube, and he mentioned something startling about Mexico. The Mexican presidential election is going to be one by someone who is going to make the borders even worse.

This person is a socialist and Morris says also a communist.

Time will tell, and we thought that Mexico's presidents were already bad. It seems that some of these presidents actually deal with the drug cartels.

The bigger question is why are the democrats working so hard on the border to make it so easy for Mexico and the drug cartels.

The democrats and their synthetics keep shouting like a broken talking doll, that all the experts say that the Wall will not do anything.

Me thinks they protest too much.

I have written several articles on this, not featured of course, good grief we don't want this kind of article to be read:)

Once again, I look at hp and writing as messages in a bottle. Hp is the deserted island, and the hubpages is the bottle, and my article is the message.

Unfortunately hp is the undertow that keeps the bottle from being found:)

Time magazine - crying girl, they want us to believe she is separated or being separated from her parents. Fake News or Time Mag typical news.

Good Morning Pop, I hope you don’t mind me mentioning this (since we touched on it earlier in this thread) Another problem I am having, when I attempt to edit and improve my unfeatured articles, I see the message, I must Capitalize my Title (my Titles, of course, are already (C)apitalized) but, I continue to see the message and my articles contine to be unfeatured.

Another message will come up, HP can make the corrections for me, I agree to it and HP Editors will take an I (for example) and change it to i (in my Title!!) I, as in me, myself and I.

Anything like this happened to you? Beyond frustrated, never getting any answers.

So true. I just heard that there are 200 children just flown in from Guatemala now settling in Harlem.

Here is my take, if these parents were US citizens or legal immigrants Child Services would take their kids away from them for child endangerment.

What kid of parent would send unaccompanied young children across the border. Don't we have enough homeless people already in the US, and what has the government and the democrats done for them. Nothing.

It has been this century when the democrats championed the illegal aliens, and every misguided minority that we have become the toilet of the world.

It is like the democrats have covered America with Botox and it is no longer recognizable as North America and the US.

      Dear brad,

The Dems are shouting from the roof tops about the children. The fact is they don't give a damn about the children, and they never did. There is nothing new about any of this. If they cared we would have an immigration bill that solves this decades old problem. By the way, I heard that there are 12,000 children in the custody of the US. About 10,000 came here without their parents. Mom and Dad probably sold them to the drug cartels, so that they could get in and destroy our nation. If we don't find a way to stop this invasion, our country is going to suffer big time. Our schools will become massively overcrowded with children who can't speak the language. New diseases will enter the country along with the resurgence of old ones. Taxes will rise, our hospitals will overflow and our homeless population will triple at the very least. Let all the phony liberals in Hollywood and Washington take them in. Of course, that will never happen because once a phony, always a phony. I'm off to the Inn. I need a rest.

I say some group of brown skin ( I don't know whether they were legal illegal, Hispanic, Latino, or what) on you tube throwing a rally to condemn Trump's EO.

I have to suspect that the DNC is behind this as the ACLU, and this group and others blame Trump for this issue. The only thing he did was change the enforcement to 100% from the 80% of Obama. What Trump did was make equally enforced. And how many times have we heard the left talk about Equality.

It was the democrat controlled 9th circuit court in 1997 that made the ruling that will interfere with Trump's EO.

The democrats also don't care about how many of the illegal alien children have been put into child trafficking. And how many of them are coming across the border by themselves.

They only care about children of illegal aliens, as it is clear that they don't think the Barron Trump is a child. The latest sick twitter is from Peter Fonda saying some disgusting and vile things about what should happen to Barron.

At this point, I don't think that we could do worse if we traded and anti Trumper for an illegal alien.

BTW, What happened to all those celebrities that were going to leave the country if Trump became president, Cher is still here, why?

I don't know how you feel about the Bush Family. But, I am sorry today that I ever voted for them. Of course, it was supposed to be the lesser of evils. And when I used that lesser of evils with the friend of mine that I told you about, according to that person, Clinton believe it or not was the lesser of evils! What are they drinking on Long Island? It must be that Long Island Iced Tea!

      BTW

I think that anyone that votes democrat from now on should be placed on the No Fly List, and the No buy guns list.

It is clear that they have severe mental problems.

      Hi Pop -

If your article is not featured, it means that it does no meet HP's high quality standards.....and it will not get the exposure (which it deserves!) Many of my unfeatured articles (now it's half of them) get more traffic and comments than the featured ones, because they are shared via friends.

Also, I've only recently come to realize that all of the time I am investing in editing and attempting to somehow meet HP's 'Standards', all of the time waiting on HP to decide if my revised article(s) are worthy, is time that ads aren't appearing on my articles and therefore they are not making them...or me...any money.

The last few years the entire category was gone! It is easy to see where they stand on political issues. Many of my hubs have been featured on their vertical sites. Lately, they ask me to add this or that in order to be featured. I just ignore them. My last two hubs were not featured, whatever that means. I don't believe that ever happened to me before, so clearly things are changing. I'll keep writing, and I hope you will too. His statement that you refer to was unfortunate, but it happened long ago, it was secretly recorded and it was locker room talk. That said, the press is out to destroy him, and they ought to be ashamed of all the lies and distortions. It's good to see the we agree about Pelosi.

      Good Afternoon Will,

It is a pleasure to see you at the breakfast tale. I agree with everything you said. It took 70 years to get us to this place, as you point out. I have no idea how to turn things around, but getting government out of education would be a great start. Most everything they touch turns to garbage. See you at the Inn. We need to catch up.

The story circulating in the world of media elites is that Trump would never have amounted to anything had not the media given him so much free news coverage and that the industry needed to take responsibility...

It’s a lovely bit of self-reflection that lets the industry deny the far more discomforting reality: that the media couldn’t have done a damn thing about Trump if they had wanted to...

Fake news flourishes because users want it... they confirm what they already think to be true... Confirmation bias is a hell of a drug and a hell of a business model for a profit-motivated media no longer concerned with the truth...

Each of us, if we choose, have access to more information and sources of truth than ever before, and more ways to reach out and understand and persuade those with whom we disagree... Yes, that is more work than simply demanding Zuckerberg change what people see, but giving up liberty for laziness never works out well in the end...

I'll see you and Buzzy at the Inn...Does Courvoisier go with French Toast..?

Bill Mahr's rant was particularly disturbing to me. How can you justify in your own mind wishing devastation on millions of people, just because you are blinded my hate? Unlike Roseanne, he will likely continue in his job. That's what makes it worse.

I enjoy reading your comments. At least I know that I'm not alone. French toast sounds good by the way.

It's becoming more obvious each and every day that President Trump is succeeding on multiple fronts and has the nation's economy booming once again. With each success, the media ratchets up the message of hate and slander - it's all they have left. Trump lives rent free in so many of their heads (DeNiro especially) and they spend every waking hour trying to destroy him in any way possible - they simply cannot accept that an outsider was elected and now threatens their way of life.

It may take a long time for the people to realize that badmouthing is a crucial part of negatively oriented journalism---and as such should be ignored. It's useless to wonder "how dare they"---because it's their job, their daily bread. If Hillary had won the election, the same crap would have been reported.

False news should not be opposed---but ignored, just like every sane person is ignoring tabloid "news", which will gladly balance their ledger sheet by paying to someone for defamation---since the profit is outweighing that expense.

The problem is not in those false news, but in gullible heads who believe them, and vent out their personal issues in political arena by targeting a victim of their choice.

For, grownups are not impressionable kids who can't help but accept anything they hear as true. News media will stick to their best selling product---it's entirely up to us how long we are going to continue buying it. It's all just a ruthless business, forget about values.

"He goes on to state that her husband, our president, has a history of abusing women, including his wives. Is this freedom of the press?" - Trump is the one who said he grabs women by the "cha-cha" (not to use his own derogatory term, which we all know well), without even asking. He said that so, how can we blame anyone for saying that he might be abusing his wife? It is his third wife after-all as well. Either he's bad at chosing, or he's bad at how he treats them. Either way, in this respect his judgement is lacking.

"Nancy Pelosi is such a fool" - And here we fully agree with each other. That lady needs to go and take her retirement already. She's done enough detrimental things while in gov't. She really should take a permanent break. We can both pray on that.

Alrighty, You have a good day - cheers!

Freedom of the press was protected in the First Amendment because the press was supposed to be the nation's neutral watchdog, keeping the rest of us on top of what the rascal politicians were up to as we went about our daily business of keeping our country rolling.

Instead, today's very biased press has become part of that government and part of the problem. That's because government has assumed power over education; a power that was never granted in the Constitution. That allows politicians to brainwash students into far-left ideology, and the result is the far-left press we have today. It has taken almost 70 years to get it done.

The answer is to get government completely out of education and return authority over education to the parents. But that would be a battle royal!

      Good Morning Tom,

I agree, it really is a psychosis spreading among the less informed, the minimally interested and those that thirst for blood. I, too, have never witnessed anything like this in my lifetime. It has spread to my family, as well. As for people like DiNiro, he is a raging fool who destroyed, in my view, whatever reputation he had as an actor. I wonder if all the fools that cheered him connect their falling revenues to their stupid and vile behavior. See you at the Inn. I need to be around people who I admire and trust.

      Pop and Buzzy,

I share your concern over the prevalence of fake and unfairly slanted news. In my almost 72 years I have never witnessed anything close to this lunacy.

Bill Mahr's latest proclamation of profound ignorance is indicative of the idiocy of the left as are the mindless rants of actor Di Niro, whom I once enjoyed. His brand of psychosis is rampant among leftist.

Yellow journalism and distorted reporting have been going on for a very long time. I prefer to learn from other sources, a variety of them, and leave the news channels and newspapers to those who enjoy tabloid news.

      Have a great week, Pop!
