So What if Obama Really is the Antichrist?

Updated on September 16, 2009

A Message from a Conservative Christian to Others of Like Mind

As far as the election is concerned. The worst thing that can happen is that nation will collaspse and we'll all lose everything. So what? Psalm 146:3 says: "Do not put your trust in princes, in mortal men, who cannot save."

I don't think that will happen. It's not what I want, but it could, since all that ever really lasts is Faith, Hope and Love. God already knew this, so it will be OK.

When the prophet Habakkuk saw that God was going to punish ancient Israel for their sins by sending an even more sinful nation to capture them, he was also shocked and terrified, and cried out to God about how unfair that was and how he didn't understand it, but then he said ... "I will stand on the wall and wait to see what the LORD tells me." Then God explained His plan. And how although it would be bad for a while, very bad, in the end, it would be better.

So then Habakkuk said, "Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior. The Sovereign Lord is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to go on the heights. "

Since we know the media is biased, and we know the polsters are biased, I don't really think it's as bad as it seems, but even if it is ... even if Barack Obama becomes president, and the democrats destroy this nation ... which I don't think will happen, but even if it does ... Jesus is still King. God is still good, and I will rejoice in who God is. Even if Barack Obama really is the antichrist, I follow the real Christ. As a Bill Johnson says often, "Don't worry what hand you're dealt, God can win with a pair of twos."

If you are a Christian and the thought of Barack Obama becoming president of the United States frightens you, then you need to think about this... 2 Tim 1:7 says, "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind."

Consdider this, are you really afraid of Obama? Is He more powerful than God? Don't fear any man. Don't fear any government. "Fear God and honor the king."

When you pray before you go to vote, don't ask God what sins of the nation need to be purged, ask Him what you need to do to be more like Jesus. Then trust Him. Don't worry and don't get angry. God's got it covered.

So what if Obama really is the Anti-Christ?
So what if Obama really is the Anti-Christ?

Thank you for writing this hub. There are more then just one Anti Christ who are evil. The worst in the book of Revelation will be the False Prophet and the Beast. They are the ones who will blind us.

Not that Obama is following satan. There is much he is doing that is harming our country, and we need to pray and be faithful to God.

Obama is a man no different from most other men we have had for presidents except for the color of his skin. They all have made promises. We all know its politics and its all about who tells the best story. Although I am sure promises were made that were intended to be kept by him as well as past presidents that just didn't happen. When the anti-christ does come, even some of our most devoted christians will be fooled. So making Obama the anti-christ would be to easy. And if he were,so what like you said. God has everything in His hands and under control. Don't complain and pass judgment. Pray for our nation and for our world. Amen

Thanks Wolfpack! Yeah, God can handle it!

Jerome ... I think he is "anti-" Christ ... in that he his actively against Christ, much as any Muslim, Hindu or atheist is "against" Christ.

I believe he is incompetent, I and I believe his actions are designed to harm the country. But those are all things people who were politically against Bush thought about him, too.

But, I don't think he's the anti-christ. And that was my point.

Is the idea sill or inane? No, not silly, worse. I think it is borne of fear of man. And fear of man is non-faith in-God. So it's not silly or inane. It's lack of faith in God. And I think once a lot of people see that, they will turn back to God and quit worrying about it.

I think he's just a bad president, and he could ruin the country. But that's all. That's a political opinion based on my experience. He's not nearly as terrible as the anti-christ.

Wow, I can't believe people are really considering the president of the United States is an anti-christ. Maybe we should ask if he really is Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker's dad. Maybe he is the bogeyman or bloody Mary. Sheesh, he is just a man. Agree or disagree that idea that he is some anti-christ is silly and inane.

I really like this HUB and appreciate your view. I know he is not the Antichrist, I have done a ton of reading on the subject and although there are some similarities in characteristics he doesn't fit the mold entirely so I like you am not worried because nothing can seaparate us from Gods love and He of course will take out the son of the devil with a simple breath, Thanks BD.

Oh, he's evil. He may even be "an" antichrist He's just not subtle enough or powerful enough to be "THE" Antichrist. At 49% disapproval, he's not fooling enough people.

I think the proof is in the pudding. A very strong case of why he could be could not be can easily be built. However, I would say that what he is doing certainly may be setting the stage for the real one to come on the scene.

Scripture also says that anti-christ will be a Christian pretender jm. It is not what one says that matters, but rather what one does. Obama mocks Christians, mocks the bible, and is anti-semitic. No I don't think he is a Christian. Nor have I ever heard Obama profess Jesus Christ as his Lord and savior. Please visit my article on the End Time Invasion and get a different view.

First of all anti-christ is one who denies that Christ has come in the flesh. Anyone that has read their bible should know that. President Obama, has professed Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. (IN Islam a statement like this is punishable by death). This should kill two birds with one stone. Anti-Christ is not a particular individual. According to scripture "...even now are there many anti-christs; whereby we know that it is the last time. Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is anti-christ, that denieth the Father and the son." IJn.2:18,22.

Thanks. I think you explain well the difference between fatalism (the feeling that it just doesn't matter) and our need as children of God to accept His will in all things and realize that we are in His hands. No mortal can really provide safety and security for us--whether they are the president or our neighboor.

I don't think Obama is the anti-christ, I do believe he will guide the nation in the right direction even though some of his beliefs are against the Bible.

You're welcome and I understand your concerns. Please don't think I LIKE him, I don't.  I don't trust him either.  And I certainly didn't VOTE for him! But, as I prayed about it, I remembered that when Paul wrote, in Romans 13.:

"1 Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. 2 Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves."

NERO was in charge.  Now, as bad as I don't trust Obama, I don't think he'll be as bad as Nero.  But even if he is ... I trust God more. God was bigger than Nero, He's bigger than Obama.  It's time to be in humble prayer before God.

you are right, I don't fear man and I do trust GOD, because like my daughter said he won't let his people have such a man in office and destroy his people. Thanks for your word.

Its makes a big deal if he is the anti-christ, the devil for pets sake. I read a lot of things on the web about him, didn't like any of it. Its my opinion, so much for our freedom, right to bare arms and freedom of speech. We will lose everything. Maybe some people don't care I do, he said, government can't help the world fix anything. he might not be ablt to get anything done. broken promises.
