Candidates Supporters Go After Board Member
The elections are over, the newly elected make up a guaranteed 5 votes on the board to do as they please; but it isn't enough for the ESD6 candidates supported by Sylvia Ruiz Mendelsohn and County Commissioner Chico Rodriguez.
The rule of thumb is to win graciously, however, to win and gloat shows pettiness. Then to throw in threats; makes it simply malicious.
Since the inception of my hubpages, I have been writing mostly political research stories. And with research, items are unearthed about candidates that might ruffle some feathers, but the newly elected candidates at Southside ISD and their supporters have taken their hate to a new level.
"The Truth", doesn't like to hear the truth and made a point of accusing me of being Mr. Knapp, one of two board members that supported the opposition.
I can guarantee the people of the Southside community that I am not Mr. Knapp and that their vendetta against him, by the comments made here are all to clear and recorded.
This individual used "Cardinal Pride" as a way of justifying their comments and behavior. It is sad to think that the actions of the few supporters of the newly elected members of the Southside ISD school board determine how the public sees them.
The individual warned Mr. Knapp to "get pumped" for Wednesday (the day that the "team" gets sworn in). "Get used to being a loner" and such comments that someone with a 14 year old mentality would use.
The unsettling thought that this behavior is condoned and supported by the candidates leads one to wonder what wouldn't these type of individuals do to Mr. Knapp or Mr. Martinez to accomplish what they want?
In just a few days after being sworn in they have removed the Superintendent of Southside ISD for nothing more than personal retribution. Replaced Superintendent Juan Antonio Jasso for getting paid too much and hiring an Interim Superintendent with less qualifications for approximately $30,000 more a year than they were paying a qualified Superintendent.
Once again, justifying what I have said all along about Mr. Brewer, Mr. Chavez, Mr. Luna, Ms. Estrada and their campaign manager, Ms. Mendelsohn. They bred a band of supporters that behave in the same manner as they do.
So due to the malicious and very unsettling behavior to the point of threatening comments from these individuals, I will no longer have a comment section on my hubs, but I will not be bullied into keeping facts and information from those who seek to make informed decisions.
Are these the type of people that makes up Southside ISD
Divisive Behavior
The saddest part of this entire election and the behavior of these individuals is that the amoral and malicious behavior is so counter productive.
The students and the staff deserve the support of the community and the administration of Southside ISD. When vindictive and divisive behavior is prevalent in the day to day activities of the school board and their supporters, those that lose are usually the ones that don't deserve it.
Shame on these individuals for what they are doing to the district and the community as a whole.
