Spider Web the Story of relatives and relations based on Shri Krishna's sermons

Updated on April 25, 2020

This is a story of our society and a family. Where every person thinks great according to its relations. The elders dominate the youngers. Sanjna and Dev were newly wed couple and the youngest in the family.

Sanjna was an S. D. O in irrigation Department. Her brother was doing job as a clerk in D. E. O office. His wife was a homely lady. His father had died and her mother was dependent on her son. Sanjna belonged to a poor family. She made her dowry with her own earnings.

When Sajna got marry with Dev, he was Only clerk. He also belonged to a poor family. Father and mother of Dev lived with Dev. They were not good people. His sister Ankita was also married with a shop keeper and lived nearby in the city. She was always trying to stay with her parents.

The elder brother of Dev, Sameer and his wife Sangita lived in that house separately. They had two issues the son Aman who was five years old and the daughter Anjali who was three years old. Sameer was a little shop keeper. He earned very little. But he was a jealous person. He always thought negative about Sanjana.

Surbhi the mother in law of Sanjna was always sitting in the room of Sanjna and didn't help in house hold work. She always hurt Sanjna and taunting her in every step. Dev did not know about house keeping.

Father and mother of Dev did't spend even a single penny. Neither they went into their own room nor they did any house hold work. Sanjna had to do triple time work. She had to manage all the house keeping. She carried the fruit and vegetables and the other items ,when she returned from her office. No body asked her for tea or supported her. They had only expectations that they had to fulfill from her. Dev did not support her in any way. He always supported his parents. He did not know about his responsibilities.

He always realized Sanjna that it was her duty to manage the kitchen work and the house. Now they were old ,they had done so much work at their time. Now it is your duty to attend them. Sanjna had to wash their clothes and had to clean the utensils and had to wipe the house.

But when she didn't feel well and could not do house hold work then she had to hear the abuses of her father in law and mother in law. Sanjna's mother had to come, for house hold and for kitchen work. Her mother also had to hear that she had made her daughter so delicate that she could not do any house hold work. Girls should be trained in a perfect way. The Only work of Dev's parents was to eat and sleep in Dev,'s room and taunting Sanjna.

Now Sanjna began to remain frustrated and worried. Dev also taunted ,where your salary had spent. The whole salary was being spent on the house hold matters, Dev knew it very well. But he always made his discussion above and tried to prove her below level.

Under these circumstances Sanjna was Pregnanted. But the behaviour of her family members did not change. They had the habits of eating and doing nothing. They did not bother about the maid servant. They didn't worry about her health . Even they didn't think about their coming grand son or daughter. She was fed up with all these circumstances.

But she could not go to her parents house. Because her mother dependent on her son. She couldn't afford all the expenditure. Sanjna's in laws only know the language of money. There was no value of Sanjna in the eyes of her in laws. Dev did not think and feel about the condition of Sanjna.

The condition of girls especially the educated and working women was very critical. It was the incident of 1970,when very few girls got the chance for education. Parents thought that they had done a great deed. But after marriage this boon would become a curse. Especially for the working girl. The mentality of our society was very depressive. The in laws family did not help in any way. To help in house keeping for the husband or other family members had become prestige issue. Working girl could not say in opposition, she had to tolerate all the ups and downs. As she was educated slave that could fulfill their demands and wishes. In laws or her husband had golden chance to misuse the educated and working wife or daughter in law. Parents of educated and working daughter were declared defaulters. Mother of the working girl had to come to her in laws house for doing house hold work, when she was ill or not able to do work. The working girl had to live with her husband and her in laws, bearing all their cruelties. She could not live alone in spite of torture. Society did not support them in any way. This was the curse of our society.

On the other side Sangita lived a satisfactory life. She had no worries about her father in law and mother in law. She was jealous about Sanjna's service as an officer. Sangita was also very mean. She had changed the mind of Dev about Sanjna. She totally changed the mentality of Dev. Sangita had tried hypnotism for this purpose. Sangita didn't do any work for Sanjna as she was alone performed her responsibilities.Sangita had created differences between Dev and Sanjna. Sangita also made her husband according to her will.

Now Sanjna felt all alone in the house. There was no body to hear her grief. At the time of pregnancy these conditions were also problematic. Sanjna had to bear the pains and sorrows all around.

When any guest came, Sanjna had to attend. Because Dev's parents were with her. Sangita only enjoyed these problematic circumstances that are ruining Sanjna. They insulted Sanjna, when anybody came into the house. Many times they beat her without any matter by saying she was not performing her responsibilities very well.

The main tragedy of our society is to blame the daughter in law and realizes her , there is no place anywhere without her husband's house.Whether he is bad or good. Sanjna could live very well with her earnings. She could afford maid servant and enjoy the other facilities. But she had to confine with her husband's parents and to bear their cruelty.

Sanjna gave a birth to a son. But her son was not a normal child. He was mentally handicap. Sanjna had to suffer a lot. Now Sangita was very happy on seeing all these conditions. Dev did not bother about these circumstances. Sanjna felt suffocation on seeing the circumstances all around in the house. For every mishappening Sanjna had to make responsible. Sanjna confined to bed. No body cared her. At last she died. After Sanjna's death her mother also died at the shock of her daughter.

Now the bad days of Sanjna's husband and his family started. Neighbours hated their family. No body took care of his parents. His son was abnormal. He needed special care. Dev was dismissed from his job. There was no source of earnings.

Dev's elder brother Sameer was the only person who earned a little. He had to brought up his children. Sangita Dev's Bhabhi was also under the curse of leprosy. There was no money for her treatment.

Now Dev had to do labour. His mother Surbhi had to do work like dish washing and cleaning the houses of the neighbours. Neighbours insulted her and taunted that this was the fruit of her deeds. They made them to realize her if she cared her daughter in law, she would spend her life in a better way. But now the time had passed. No body could do now in this matter. Now only they could repent. Now Dev's mother had to bring up her mentally handicapped grand son.Because no body had left for that child's care. Dev's father was also bed ridden. There was no money for his treatment.

After the death of Sanjna the whole family had to pay the penalty as they tortured Sanjna.

Every body knows nature returns what we give, with so much additions. But we are not agree with these theories. When we do bad deeds, we think no body have seen.us and forget the laws of nature. If good deeds return with intrest then also bad deeds return with intrest with bad results.

Every stage comes in human life. Childhood age, Young age and old age. Responsibilities and duties go side by side. When we are suffered ,then we think we are the only person to bear. We do our best according to our capabilities. But our elders are insulting and threatening us. In this way that stage has passed and the next stage arrives. We get that stage in which stage the elders had hurt us. We also repeat the same process of hurting and torturing. Our good deeds are finished by hurting and torturing the youngers. These stories of our society or family give us a lesson that if we want to take the fruit of good deeds then we have to change our mentality. What we have bore in our previous stage we should not repeat that process of hurting. Otherwise hurting process of mother in law and daughter in law and orher relations will be repeated again and again and our good deeds are finished and bad deeds are remained. This process will be continued without any break and many evils are added more. No one can enjoy the happy and joyful life. Only by changing our mentality we can get rid of our bad deeds and enjoy the results of good deeds.
