Chiquita is at the Table

Good Morning, Breakfastpoppers. Today is Sunday, June 4, 2017. Our noisy friend, Cicada Chiquita, is at the stove this morning preparing bacon and eggs for all the Poppers. She awoke this morning to hear news of yet another terror attack on the people of London by people who don't belong there. The Brits are now in the act of rounding up suspects they already knew about. They are always late to the game, because political correctness has dumbed down their society and crippled their ability to go on the offensive. It is probably too late for them. They allowed their country to be invaded by people they knew nothing about. Now they are paying the price. Our new president is trying to be proactive by instituting a temporary travel ban on all those wishing to come here from hotbeds of terror. Our courts are run by far left liberals who have been successful in tying his hands. Common sense is dead and buried, and we are all going to pay a hefty price for its demise. Please join Chiquita for breakfast. She intends to set forth examples of the insanity that has overtaken our nation. It is time to put our national foot down and stop the madness. We look forward to seeing you at the table.

Magical Thinking

Thanks so much for joining Pop and me this morning. As I look around our country, I see so many examples of thinking that is so devoid of common sense that it defies imagination. If only I had a magic wand that I could use to bring back rational thought. If only I had a magic wand that would restore respect for journalism, freedom of speech and the president. It seems to me that liberals believe they have that wand. They wave it and commit stupid acts and declare themselves brilliant. This weekend protestors decided to march in 130 cities throughout the nation. They are demanding changes to the federal investigations into collusion between Russia and President Trump. One investigation or another has been ongoing since President Trump took office. Thus far, it has been a complete waste of time and money, our money. We have bigger fish to fry. If common sense were alive and well, this investigation would have ended by now.

Speaking of rallies, the mayor of Portland, Oregon urged organizers to cancel a Trump Free Speech Rally, calling such events inappropriate and dangerous. Apparently, free speech is cause for concern. The mayor feels we shouldn't be promoting it. This could only happen in America today. There was a time when we valued free speech. Now speech is only free if it reflects the viewpoints of the far left. Where did they bury common sense? We have to dig it up before it's too late.

Collegiate Craziness

No discussion about the death of common sense would be complete without mentioning our college campuses. Students at Evergreen College in Washington have called for a day without white people. A white professor objected to the plan, and the students immediately called for his dismissal. The chief of police in the area advised the professor not to go to campus believing it was too dangerous. Remember the days when the good guys won? Get that shovel, Poppers. We need to find common sense and bring it back to life.

Words Hurt

The police in Seattle, Washington are no longer allowed to refer to alleged criminals as suspects. Instead, they are now called community members. The Washington Department of Corrections has been barred from calling prisoners inmates. They' re now called "students." This brings the issue of political correctness to a new low. Let's say a man robs a convenience store. The police report will say that a community member was detained on charges. If convicted, he will become a student at a correctional facility. We are going to need a large digger to find common sense. It is buried to far underground to get it out with a shovel.

Politicians

A discussion about madness could never be complete without mentioning Rep. Maxine Waters. Waters appeared on MSNBC's AM Joy and declared that the American people were frustrated with her party's inability to remove President Trump from office. Actually, the American people I know would love to see Rep. Waters removed from office.

California legislators are making a grand push for socialized medicine in their state. They are pushing knowing all the while that they can't fund it! Things don't have to make sense in California. These people put Nancy Pelosi in office. Need I say more?

Media Madness

The MSM in our nation represent all that is wrong with journalism. After the hideous terror attack in Manchester, England they worried themselves sick about the backlash that Muslims might have to go through in England and here in our nation. Their hearts, thoughts and prayers were with the Muslim communities. The dead teens were an afterthought.

Chiquita's Song

I'm Chiquita Cicada and I'm here to say

The insanity may be here to stay.....
