The Anarchy of Antifa
School is in Session
Good Morning, Breakfastpoppers. Today is Sunday, July 28, 2019. All the bugs have flown the coop. They have embarked on a massive rest and relaxation tour of the United States. I am at the stove this morning all alone. I will be preparing Turkey Sausage Omelettes accompanied by Crazy Cow Bombs for our liquid pleasure. In case you are wondering, the Cow Bombs are a shout out to AOC who wants to rid the nation of cows. The Bomb is a reference to the tactics of Antifa. The drink, however combines chocolate vodka with Bailey's Irish Cream, and that just can't be bad. On the other hand, Antifa is bad, very, very bad. Please join me at the breakfast table this morning. I'll leave the door open.
What You Need to Know
The Anti-Fascist Movement is not new. Some of these groups started out in the 1920s and 30s in Europe. The movement in America began in the 1980s. They called themselves Anti-Racist Action. We had not heard much from them at all until Donald Trump was elected. Now they are in the news a great deal, and they are creating havoc wherever they go. On paper, these people oppose Neo-Nazis, Neo-fascism, white supremacists and racism. So far so good, right? Wrong! They are dedicated to opposing President Trump and they will stop at nothing to disrupt anyone they do not agree with. If the group decides someone is far-right, they are on the spot to shout them down employing violence if they deem it is necessary. They dress in black and are prone to covering their faces because doing so is intimidating. In their so-called efforts to defeat fascism, they use the very tactics that fascists use. Violence is a tool they use without fear of reprisal or consequence. They justify their actions by describing them as tactics of self-defense. Increasingly, their actions have grown more violent. Whoever they deem to be far right is fair game. They have targeted certain individuals by outing their personal information on line. They speak out of both sides of their mouths, because on the one hand they are opposed to violence, and on the other hand they carry weapons like knives, bricks, pepper spray and chains. Hypocrisy reigns supreme in this group. They are generally perceived to be dangerous and counter productive. There is a movement now to have them declared a Domestic Terror Group. That is the correct response.
Trump Supporters are Fair Game
Antifa has decided that the definition of fascism needs to encompass Trump supporters. Conservatives are now fascists in their twisted minds. Some people defend their tactics. They do not see this group as a threat to anyone. They view the group as opposing fascism, and they choose to leave it at that. Realistically, this group is much more. They are anti-police and they are not above employing physical tactics to show their contempt. They oppose racists, but emulate the tactics of racists. When they are not actively disrupting rallies of their perceived enemies, they engage in "doxxing." They try to get anyone they oppose fired from their jobs. Disruption is their goal, and they will employ any means possible to accomplish their goals.
Inside Antifa
Gabriel Nadales is a former member of Antifa. She was asked to respond to the attack by Antifa on a writer for Quillette. According to Nadales, the group says they fight facists, but in truth they do the opposite. They are willing to fight anyone who stands in their way. She describes Antifa as a "gang."
Antifa's tactics should not be tolerated. They are dangerous and unpredictable. They hide their faces and they hide behind a false narrative of what they stand for. Law enforcement needs to stop them. Congress needs to stop them. The American people need to be protected from them as much as they do from gangs like MS-13. Let's get it done.
Pop"s Song
This land is your land
This land is my land
This land is not Antifa's land
Let's keep it that way!
