Oh No! Not The Obama Birther Issue Again!

Arizona Secretary of State Ken Bennett originally said that President Obama's name, wouldn't appear on the Arizona ballot for president, because he wasn't certain the president was born in the United States. But...he changed his stance, after contacting Hawaii state officials, who once again, verified that the president was indeed, born in Hawaii the United States Of America.

Republican Congressman, Mike Coffman, recently questioned whether President Obama was an American, stating, “I don’t know whether Barack Obama was born in the United States of America. I don’t know that,” “But I do know this, that in his heart, he’s not an American. He’s just not an American.”

These people just don't want, President Obama, to be a legally elected president. They can't, stand the idea, or reality of a black man being elected president. They're obsessed with doing everything they can, no matter how crazy, stupid or idiotic, to try to show that he's not legitimate or "qualified" to be president.

They say, He wasn't born in the United States, he's a secret Muslim, he not one of us, he doesn't really understand America, he's an alien.

And, now for their newest craziest thing is...drum roll please!...Wait for it! Here's the big finale!...He wasn't fully vetted before he became president. They say "We don't really know who he really is or what his "real" agenda is. Which he won't reveal until after he's reelected president". Really? Really, Really? Oh Please!

The man has been president for almost 4 years. If we don't know who he is or what he stands for by now. We'll never know it, because obviously we're to stupid to be able to see it. So much has been written about, President Obama, it's probably in the millions of words. Not to mention he's written I believe...it's three books about himself and his life.

This is the new strategy of the wacky people, the racists and the just the flat out corrupt politicians, who want to defeat President Obama at all cost, no matter how low they have to stoop crawl or slither to do it. They will say anything to get people keep the president at arms length...to instill doubt about him...to make people distrust him...to make him seem un-american...like an outsider. Because, to them, he is and outsider, an other. He's, how should we put it...beyond the pale!

The whole spectrum of the birthers, from the lowest, all the way up to some of the top politicians, are absolutely convinced that President Obama, can't legally be president, because he wasn't born in the United States or that he's not a natural born citizen.

Don Racheter, chairman of the Iowa GOP’s platform committee, is the latest politician to try to use this ploy, to Delegitmize Obama's right to be president

Racheter states,“There are many Republicans who feel that Barack Obama is not a ‘natural born citizen’ because his father was not an American when he was born and, therefore, feel that according to the Constitution he’s not qualified to be president, should not have been allowed to be elected by the Electoral College or even nominated by the Democratic Party in 2008, so this is an election year,” “It’s a shot at him.”

Lets examine this claim.

Article II, of the U.S. Constitution states: "No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States".

The birthers say, Obama's father was Kenyan and Obama was born in Kenya, so he isn't a natural born citizen even though his mother was.

There are two legal principles that define how one gains citizenship at birth:

1.Jus sanguinus (“right of blood”), You gain citizenship at birth because your parents are U.S. citizens

2.Jus soli (“right of soil”), this means your are a citizen because you were born on U.S. soil.

The Fourteenth Amendment states that “All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside", So, anyone born on U.S. soil is, a birthright citizen, regardless of the citizenship status of their parents. By this rule, President Obama, is a natural born citizen, regardless of where his parents were born, because he was born on American soil, Hawaii.

Some people, think there is a difference, between native born and natural born, but this is false. You are native, of whatever country you're born in, and a native citizen is a natural born citizen. But, article II doesn't just say only a natural born citizen can be president, it states"No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States: shall be eligible to be president". You see it says that a citizen not just a natural born citizen can be president.

But of course, for those folks who are obsessed with delegitimizing President Obama's presidency. No amount of proof, facts, truths or reasoning, will find a way into their minds. They will always see, a conspiracy to keep the "real" Obama (they're obsessed with) "hidden".

No amount of documentary proof, will ever be proof enough, to legitimize President Obama's presidency for them, because, deep in their hearts they feel, it will never be legitimate, for a black man, to be President of the United States.

That holy office is only reserved for white males.
