The Cheating Republicans Continue to Play Dirty Politics and We Let Them!
Wealthy White Supremacists and Fox News
The Republican Party Party consistently plays dirty politics, and we the American public allow it. The Rolling Stone details how the Republican Party rigs elections through gerrymandering and flat out voter suppression. The attacks by this party on the American public are strategic and blatant, now poised to dismantle unions and healthcare just so the wealthy can make more and more of the backs of the poor.
The reality is, we are all looking at this Russia conspiracy too acutely to understand what is really going on. Yes, there is a full-blown conspiracy by the Trump Administration and the Republican Party to cover up numerous indiscretions leading up to the 2016 Presidential Election. The real question is, were they aware of each other's indiscretions?
Unless you are a wealthy white supremacist, voting in favor of the Republican Party is voting against your own personal interests. There is a long history leading up to the Republican Party of Donald J. Trump, which has now resulted in Fascism knocking on the door. If we allow it, the President will leave the back door open to Russia and other suppressors of individual freedoms around the world. The Republican Party plays dirty politics in order to maintain their dominance and white supremacy. Fox News controls the public's perception and the electoral college allows them to get away with it.
When the Rich Wage War, It's the Poor Who Die
Ever since the Civil War, the Republican Party has been trying to regain its popularity with the American public. It must have been tough for them during the Reconstruction Period since they were the party who gave African Americans their freedom, and changed life as it was previously known. Sadly, this history has gone on long enough for their continued support by the masses.
There are so many questionable acts throughout the 20th century, but I want to focus on the large blatant trends and acts of the Republican Party. The Vietnam War was started under President Eisenhower and the Watergate scandal was under President Nixon, who was Eisenhower's vice president. The War on Drugs and the economic crash in the 1980s were under President Reagan and the Desert Storm War was under the first President Bush, who was also Reagan's vice president. Are we seeing the trend here?
9/11 occurred under the second President Bush, and the two-terms under his leadership resulted in yet another economic crash in 2009. Let's not act like we don't know where the hate came from, it was the rise of President Obama. The Republican Party then turned into the most extreme obstructionists with the singular goal of stifling any progress for the first "not white" American president. At least in the past, the Republican Party tried to deny they are the party of racists, now they have sunk to a new low. the most biased news channel in the United States is Fox News, which now openly supports the ideas of white supremacist while on air.
Once again, let’s not view this as only related to the current administration, Fox News has been the WWE of news for quite some time, I would like to now refer to it as the birthplace of fake news. It is absolutely amazing to watch current Republicans attempt to rationalize what is going on today, but they have had plenty of practice since they have been acting out against the American public since the 20th Century when they decided greed and discrimination were more important than anything else.
Similarities Between the Watergate and Election Meddling Cover-Ups
The Washington Post explains, there were questionable acts surrounding the Nixon presidency, starting from the first election, but the Watergate scandal during his re-election bid is what resulted in his eventual resignation and pardon by his vice president. On June 17, 1972, five men were arrested for attempting to bug DNC at the Watergate Hotel. One of the men admitted to working for the CIA, and two days later another was identified as a GOP security aide. The point is, the crime itself was bad enough, but it was the cover-up that did the most damage, including the attempts to obstruct justice.
Fast forward to 2016, the DNC was hacked resulting in the spread of information used to combat negative press on Donald Trump. The New York Times describes how Devin Nunes a House Republican from California has actively tried to obstruct justice by sharing confidential information about the president with the president and preemptively ending the House Intelligence Committee's investigation into Russian election meddling in 2016. The cover-up is actively occurring, but yet we sit by and try to say this is a partisan fight, instead of calling it what it is...TREASON!
Business Insider explains, the Mueller investigation uncovered the identity of the additional Republican Congressional candidate who also requested information from Russia related to the stolen documents from the DNC hack. CBS News reports House Republicans introduced articles of impeachment against Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein as an attempt to find a way to end the Mueller investigation so the president doesn't need to.

Christianity, Healthcare, and the Enviornment
For those of us who still believe in the freedom of religion, we should all be alarmed by the recent events taking place in this nation. The Catholic Church has been exposed once again for its pedophilia, with no repercussions to be seen. On the other hand, the shooter of the recent synagogue incident survives after the care of Jewish healthcare providers. This is why the Republicans are supported by wealthy white supremacists, because they have no concern of the ballooning healthcare costs, or if their health-insurance premiums go up. If you are not wealthy, being white isn't going to help you get care for your aging parents, yourself, or your children!
Christianity has stood behind the Republican Party for quite some time, because they are content with the evil and ugly in the world as long as they donate to their cause. For generations priests have preyed on children around the world and some how they continue to get the cover to for their pervasive acts. Now, Republicans are using religion to undo all of the progress related to caring for our environment and making conscious choices to reduce our energy usage. The attack on science has been gaining so much momentum because Fox News continues to peddle their lies to their unsuspecting viewers.
The Hypocrisy Needs to Be Punished Peacefully by Voting, but That's Hard with the Gerrymandering and Voter Suppression Going On
Today, it is completely understandable for many people to be confused about what is really going in this country due to all of the misinformation spread by Fox News and other conservative outlets. It is time to strip away all of the nonsense and look directly at the facts, and stop perpetuating the cycles of fake news and spin to diminish the damage the current administration is doing on a daily basis. To be clear, the Democratic goal should not be to impeach the president but to protect Special Counsel Robert Mueller, to allow him and his team to complete their investigation into the 2016 election season.
Watching the current Republican Congress is quite amusing because they went from absolute obstructionists to giving free reign to a traitor. Politico Magazine reports, the GOP pledged a stance of no after Obama's first inauguration. The Republicans have no shame in their game because they feel pretty confidently their base will support them no matter what. The problem for everyone else is, they show up to vote. They don't care how they get the win as long as they get it.
Most recently, Kavanaugh's Supreme Court confirmation is proof of that. The Brennan Center for Justice reports how states led by Republican leadership has restricted the vote. According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Georgia has been steadily restricting the vote by closing polling places and failing to register residents. Probably has something to the African-American woman running for governor.
Voter Suppression
Don't Forget to Exercise Your Right to Vote on November 6, 2018
Republicans always complain it is the Democrats who are not working in a partisan manner, which is completely laughable when they jam through a Supreme Court nominee after previously blocking the hearing of Obama's last nominee. Clearly, Donald Trump's approval rating lingers around 40 percent, because they support his ideas and agenda. The other 60 percent of us, need to get out and vote on November 6, 2018, to show them we will not allow our freedoms to be taken away by these wealthy white supremacists only focused on stripping away truth and rule of law to protect their chosen leader.
The Atlantic argues, "every passing day, the stain and responsibility for Trump's actions stick more lastingly to the Republican establishment." We all need to exercise our right to vote before the Republicans decide we don't get to vote at all. As each freedom is taken away, it becomes harder are harder to protect the rest.
If your family can barely make ends meet, or you have a pre-existing condition and can't afford higher premiums then vote Democrat. If you are like everyone else and don't feel the benefits from this most recent tax cut for the wealthy, or want to make sure Robert Mueller is protected while he finishes his investigation then get out and vote Democrat! I know many feel their vote doesn't matter, but now is the time to tell the Republican Party we will no longer stand for their dirty politics.
