Chiquita Cicada is at the Table

Good Morning, Breakfastoppers. Today is Friday, June 5, 2015. Our noisy friend, Chiquita, is at the breakfast table this morning. She is quite concerned about us, given the fact that the TSA is clueless about keeping us safe and the White House is equally clueless about what this failure means. Chiquita has asked me to invite all the Poppers to breakfast. She is preparing a crustless quiche. I will be preparing lots of Bloody Marys to add to the fun. We hope to see you soon.

The Hapless TSA

Thank you all for joining me this morning. If there are any among you, and I sincerely doubt it, who always wanted to carry a hand grenade on an airplane, now would be a good time to give it a try. The TSA is out to lunch in every respect. You could probably haul a suitcase nuke on the plane and all that would be required is an extra baggage fee. An internal government report, which translates to a report none of us were supposed to see, showed clearly that the TSA failed to prevent a potential terror attack 96 percent of the time. Undercover tests were performed and the inept agents allowed all manner of weapons through the security checkpoints. In one instance an undercover agent set off an alarm, but the TSA screeners somehow missed a fake explosive device that was taped to his back, despite being subjected to a pat down.

In Denial

Despite the appalling results from this test operation, President Obama believes that we all should feel confident when we head out to airports across the country. Josh Earnest, the Press Secretary voted by me "Most Likely to Give Me a Headache", assured the public that President Obama continues to have confidence in the officers of the TSA. I am so relieved. Are you? Earnest went on to walk the walk and talk the talk about all the wonderful measures in place designed to keep us safe. Earth to Josh Earnest, things are a mess and it's time you and your boss smelled the coffee. Taxpayers waste $8 billion a year on the TSA. That is a whole lot of cash blown on a program that should be eliminated and replaced by methods that are more likely to work. In the real world the head of the TSA would be fired. In Obamaworld, he was reassigned. It's good to work for the government. It rewards incompetence and protects the guilty.

ISIS is on a Roll

While the White House spin machine plays down the appalling results of the TSA's performance, ISIS is spreading the word that it can smuggle a nuke into the US through Mexico. Actually, they can probably smuggle it in on a commercial jet and let it go through airport security! I have no idea if it is possible to smuggle in a nuclear weapon, but the thought is beyond troubling and it certainly raises a red flag about our porous borders. We have laws in place that would go a long way making us safer in terms of illegal entry into our country. President Obama has undermined those laws and in doing so has left us unprotected and begging for trouble. The world knows that we are no longer the most powerful nation on earth. We lack the will to stand up to our enemies and we lack the desire to stand with our friends and allies. ISIS has taken control of tanks, rocket launchers, missile systems and anti-aircraft systems from the United States and Iran. Couple all of this with the news that ISIS has set up a training camp in Mexico, just a mere eight miles from El, Paso, Texas. We are playing with fire and ISIS is playing with our safety.

Better Safe Than Sorry

The American people need to have their confidence restored. Faith and trust in the Federal government is at an all-time low. There is good reason for this. This administration has played it fast and loose with the truth. They exist in a perpetual state of denial and spend all of their resources trying to con the public. One by one our cities are being torn apart by rioters and murderers. Crime is escalating. Police are reluctant to act for fear of being arrested. Muslim refugees are being invited to settle here. They really don't love the U.S., but they have nowhere else to go at the moment. We are inviting trouble into our nation and the powers that be seem determined to weaken us from within and dilute our culture, our morals and our love for America. We are under siege in so many ways and on so many fronts. Nothing good can come of any of this. If we don't start getting things right, we will be buried by all that is going wrong. We need new strong leadership. We need to elect people at every level who remember they work for us. We have to ask tough questions and demand answers. Above all, we have to wake up and develop a comprehensive plan to restore our nation to greatness. President Obama and his followers take exception to the idea of America the Great. It is time we told Washington and the MSM, that we take exception to them. It is no longer politically correct to invoke God's name. I'll leave you with these words, "May God Bless America."

Chiquita's Song

I'm Chiquita Cicada and I'm here to say

I wish Obama would just go away!
