Harlotte Is at the Table

Good Morning, Breakfastpoppers. Today is Monday, May 21, 2018. Our creative friend, Spider Harlotte, is at the breakfast table this morning. She has prepared Caramel French Toast for our enjoyment. I have mixed up a batch of Irish coffees to take the chill out of the news from Washington. Harlotte has asked for the pleasure of your company this morning. John Brennan is on her mind, and the need to vent is growing stronger by the minute. We hope to see you soon.

Under Seige

Thanks so much for joining POP and me this morning. The sun is finally shining, but the continuing assault on President Trump rains down on the nation. There are many bad actors in this ugly drama, but one in particular stands out for me today. Former CIA Director John Brennan has emerged as a key player in the effort to tear down the president. Mr. Brennan's tweets to President Trump speak volumes about where he stands. He started out threatening the president, telling him he would be sorry if he continued on the path he was on. Subsequent tweets threatened Senator McConnell and Speaker Ryan. Brennan told the twosome that if Mr. Trump continued along his disastrous path, they would bear responsibility for the harm done to our democracy. It is clear to anyone with a love of spy thrillers, that John Brennan is getting very nervous about his role in this mess we call "the Mueller Investigation." The closer we are to getting to the truth of his involvement during and after the Obama years, the more twitchy he gets.

Brennan went back on Twitter to tweet that Donald Trump simultaneously lied about the Iranian nuclear deal, undermined the global confidence in U.S. commitments, alienated our closest allies, strengthened Iranian hawks and gave North Korea more reason to keep its nukes. In my view this tweet bears some scrutiny. First of all, Mr. Brennan should be addressing the president with respect. Second of all, Iran got all the goodies. In time, they will have their nuclear weapons while immediately enjoying the barrels of cash delivered to their doorstep. That money was used to support terror, but no one in the Obama administration thought twice about it. Brennan referred to the existence of Iranian hawks. What exactly is an Iranian hawk? Perhaps an Iranian hawk is an individual who believes we never should have made a deal with terrorists. Brennan's reference to North Korea is laughable. President Trump has accomplished the impossible even if North Korea stalls the talks or backs away entirely. I wonder, Mr. Brenner, what are you afraid of ?

Confusion Abounds

John Brennan appears to be having a difficult time keeping his Trump-Russia stories straight. In my view, he is mainly responsible for the destruction of America's faith in the intelligence community. Brennan has unsuccessfully tried to distance himself form the phony dossier about President Trump. In July of 2016, Brennan initiated the Russia investigation and urged the FBI to get on board. In August, he briefed President Obama, telling the former president that Putin wanted Donald Trump to win. There were many in the FBI who believed otherwise. Brennan then briefed Harry Reid, who told FBI Director James Comey that he was concerned with Russia's tampering. The rest is history. Through it all and now, Brennan insists that the phony Steele dossier was not a part of the intelligence communities assessment of Russian interference. Even James Clapper, then Director of National Intelligence under Obama, believed that the dossier was a huge factor in the ever-growing Trump collusion conspiracy fiasco. It's understandable that Brennan would be panicking right about now. What is he so afraid of?

Round Em" Up

This never ending saga has so many twists and turns that it is difficult to follow. It is time to get down to business and wrap up the Mueller witch hunt. It is time to get the truth from this growing list of characters who have tried to bring down President Donald Trump. If crimes have been committed by people in high places, and I believe they have, Americans need to know about it, and the guilty have to be punished. We need to have our faith restored in the CIA, the FBI and the DOJ. It is not going to be an easy job, because the actions of all three agencies are unspeakable. Let's get to the bottom of this cesspool. Why not start with John Brennan. What is he so afraid of?
