Thoughts on Kony 2012
After watching the video clip about Joseph Kony, I decided to write down my thoughts, a short poem and share them in this hub. People like this low-life should not be allowed to roam the land terrorizing children and communities. He should be stopped. I applaud the efforts that have gone into this movement and seriously hope it’s successful. It’s amazing to me, that the U.S. government did very little to support this at first, but then again overextending our reach throughout the world in other war efforts make it hard to have enough resources to go after every war criminal in the world.
Check out the video below if you haven’t already as it’s pretty eye-opening, but yet inspiring. I would love to see the movement work and take down these types of people. No child should have to live like these children did in Uganda! Not ever. Take a moment to check the video out for yourself and see how people can work together for a cause. We don’t have to be scholars, lawyers, politicians or rich to be able to make a change in the world. Awareness and a will to make a difference are most of the battle.
In a world where evil runs free
The children cry & mothers weep
Living in fear, no way to live
Shine the light & reveal the sin
In a political world our hands are tied
Egos, power & money reside
The lies reign strong confusing us all
Take control & pursue the fight
This demon named Kony may run, he may hide
Tricks the pure & proves his cowardess
But the love of many will pull together
Track him down & bring him to justice!
