Threat Of Global Food Crisis
Threat Of Global Food Crisis
Covid-19 is currently hovering over the planet like death. More than four million human deaths and quite a million cases of weak immunity pose serious threats to the lives of those many people. Who suffer from nutritional deficiencies and don't have anything to feed themselves and their children.
Just as the corona epidemic affects the economic and agricultural system, it's becoming a significant threat to the intense global food crisis.
In the light of the present situation of the planet, the United Nations secretary general's warning may be a matter of concern for the entire world that the current situation can cause the worst food crisis of fifty years of history. It will be necessary to require the necessary steps to deal with emergency situations.
According to Antonio Guterres, Eighty million people within the world are currently hungry.
Fourteen million children under the age of 5 are missing physical development. And even as the corona epidemic is exacerbating things, it's true that the matter of malnutrition is often raised at any time, especially in poor countries.
Current circumstances of Pakistan
Pakistan is mainly a country with an agricultural economy, its majority of the population is associated with the same sector and therefore the majority fill their stomach with two-time bread by working hard. Fourteen per cent of individuals who are forced to live below the poverty level can't be ignored for the risks they face.
Unfortunately, alongside the corona, Pakistan is under fire by locusts, which is causing irreparable damage to crops, especially despite producing the specified quantity of wheat it's being imported. due to lack of resources, farmers are unable to cope with the situation.
Where the government of Pakistan is using all its resources, global institutions should also play their role in handling corona and locust.
