Let's vote for Mitt (A "rapping" poetic rant)

Updated on November 1, 2012

Hope and Change

Yes we can!

Create Jobs

Heal the land

A transparent government

Pay as you go

End all wars and

Close Gitmo

Bailout Fannie

Bailout Freddie

Bailout the banks

Keep things steady

Healthcare for all

Make it free

We can do it

Just watch and see

Economy is bad

Its not so cush

We can fix it

We’ll just blame Bush

Debt starts climbing

Need more stash

Let’s ask Benanke

To print more cash

Jobs are rare

Unemployment climbs

Just blame Bush

For difficult times

Oil not cheap

And gas is high

Let’s not drill

Won’t even try

Solar power

That’s the way

Give them money

If we may

A billion here

And a billion there

Solyndra goes bankrupt

That’s not fare!

Trouble in Libya

Riots bode

Ambassador dead

a ‘bump in the road’

Israel wants to talk

A minute if they can

Nope! so so sorry,

Gonna be on Letterman

Daily briefs

To keep us secure

Rather play golf

That’s for sure

If we want to make things right

There is one thing to remember

We must get out and vote

On the sixth day of November

Let’s turn things around

And be willing to commit

To pull down that lever

And vote for Mitt!

      Hello RBJ33,

First of all, thank you for you compliment on my ranting poem. I appreciat it.

Secondly, I would have to disagree with you that Willard (Mr.Romney) IS our only answer at this time. We have two choices. One, to continue down the path we are currently on. Or two, we can apply new policies that will change to coarse of direction, and allow our entreprenuers to once again, invest into America and create jobs.

Third, yes! there is a WHOLE lot of rhetoric, and there well ALWAYS be broken promises.

Again, it is good to see you, and I really enjoy your visits and comments.

      Chris

Very clever = well done - but please let us all understand no one that has won the presidency has been able to deliver all the promises. And, they all know it ahead of time - so it is mostly empty rhetoric. But Willard is not the answer this time.

Brilliantly done my friend. I can see this put to music, kind of like "We Didn't Start the Fire"....whether I agree with the outcome you've stated is a moot point...the points you make and the writing are in a word, brilliant.

Voted up, useful, awesome, and interesting. Shared with my followers because it is so well done (doubting Mitt is the answer)

Very clever....fun-kind of poem...too bad it's about something so deadly serious.....I'm scared.....so are my friends. Will it even matter what happens? I HOPE so!! We can only do our part....and wait to see, as we hold our breath.

I could not have said it better myself, Chris. This is a very timely verse and right on the money....preach it, brother! ~WB
