To Govern or Not Govern: HoodWinked by GOP

The sixty four thousand dollar question of the day is will the duly elected GOP leader actually govern or not? As it stands today, the GOP will take full advantage of every opportunity available to them to distract the public from the issues before them. The prominent issues on the table before them these days are the Gun Safety Debate, Marriage Equality, Immigration Reform, the Economy and Jobs.

In this day and age it's shame to think it let alone say it, but what motivates the GOP is to see that President Obama's Administration fails miserably at the job of governing the country. Not because he's trying to clean up the mess that George W. Bush's administration left, but so that they can try and get another Republican President into the Oval Office. It's for certain they're not trying to do it for the betterment of the country or society as a whole.

And contrary to popular opinion it's not really racially motivated, although there is some truth to that fact. But the most important thing is that he (President Obama) is a smart, multi-ethnic democratic leader that's taking things that GOP once supported and BEAT them to punch with their own ideas. Ideas that they themselves have FAILED miserably to do for one reason or another.

Oh say, two boots on the ground wars in Afghanistan & Iraq. While their intentions may have been good at the time. I'm pretty sure there is a saying, "That the road to HELL is paved with good intentions". Far too many of our young and old, men & women in uniform have died or shed blood on that road. To say that The George W. Bush Administration went off half cocked, should be the most egregious understatement of the last full decade.
