Torture, Lies and Deceit - The Legacy of the Bush Administration
The Big Three
No More
The American people have had front row seats to the most dangerous deceit this nation has ever experienced. Beginning in the year 2000 when the Republicans stole the election from Al Gore by fraudulent vote counting and non-vote counting, we have seen the rise of the most corrupt, unlawful, arrogant and powerful group of leaders in the modern world. Oh yes, these are strong accusations, but these are very strong and connected men, and few women, who have sold their souls to gain money, fame and power.
One day before the Election, 2008, we are bombarded by vicious political attacks, from the left and the right, but there is a way to discern the truth. The most important task this country must achieve is to stop the abuses of the last 8 years. The people are unlawfully wire-tapped, prisoners of war have no right to be heard or tried in a court of law, the military has killed hundreds of thousands of innocents in our battle for Freedom and Democracy. The events of 911 changed the whole world view - and our perception of it has been skillfully altered by the expert team in the White House.Torture pure and simple
Stop the Cruelty
When I first viewed a film called "Loose Change" several years ago, I found it too difficult to believe, too sinister; but incredibly compelling and full of contradictory conclusions. If you haven’t seen it, you may watch it at the following link:loosechange911. It is not for the faint of heart. The evidence leads to the most evil, massive conspiracy ever carried out on the planet. The film helps understand the actions Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld took after the Towers collapsed to the ground. It gave them the mandate to rewrite the scope of Presidential Power allowing ONE MAN to decide the fates of individuals and countries. Slowly, the lawyers surrounding the President and Vice President changed the rules of War and advocated the stripping of civil rights to detainees and the use of barbaric torture methods to gain “intelligence” from uncharged and untried inmates. We all saw the images from Abu Ghraib. We’ve heard the horror stories coming out of Guantanamo. Now there is a documentary film that aired on my local PBS station last night that clearly shows how we have lost our rights and how The Bush Administration has violated rules of War established through the Geneva Convention after WWII. This film is striking in its raw depiction of these abuses of power. I urge you to watch the online version in three segments at: torturingdemocracy

It Does Matter
What both films, and many more like them, say to me with total CLARITY is that we MUST NOT continue the policies of the last 8 years in any way, shape or form. We need Barack Obama and a fresh team to purge the government and bring charges against the Bush Regime - they must be prosecuted and held accountable for all of their dastardly, despicable deeds. The lies and deceit must cease for true freedom and democracy to prevail.
We are at a precipice in Time. The next President of the U.S will affect our collective existence. It is not inconsequential - it is monumental who is our next Leader. Please, this is an 11th hour plea. Watch these films.
