Tri-County Times and Nancy Pelosi Quote Goes Viral

The Tri County Times of Genessee County, Michigan on March 20, 2019 posted an article in the Opinion section call Random Royal Thoughts. In this right leaning rant of bullet points, he says on rant #12, • Nancy Pelosi logic (quote:) “Just because someone is here illegally doesn’t mean they broke any of our laws.”

There has been nothing to justify than rant based by any of the fact checking sources. Yet this lead one to belief that this may have generated a meme by a right leaning follower.

Tri-County Times is conservative semi-weekly news paper. Owned by Craig Rockman who began the paper in 1994. It grew to the point of expansion by 1997 and again in 2009. It was the largest news paper by then, the fact that they had taken to the internet in 1996, helped them expand and get the news information quicker and further away.

In 2019, Craig Rockman sold it to Rick Burrough who had a locally owned company, View Newspaper Group. The View Newspaper Group owned 17 community newspapers.

For America is a more extreme group, as David Bozell mentioned in an interview for the Washington Times as Steve Bannon was returning to Briebert. The goal for his organization, which is a non-profit with David Bozell as its President is basically to create a new Republican Party by supporting like minded candidates and retiring traditional Republicans. As he says on the organizations Facebook page, they are dedicated to advancing freedom and prosperity and virtue.

And the example they set is extremely right, using scare tactics, racist, divisive articles and memes.

The facts on Nancy Pelosi and immigration.

1.) 2006: PBS News Hour, Nancy Pelosi said that all of the immigrants did not come here illegally. Some came and when their Visa's expired they didn't leave or they are on a backlog at immigration services. She also said that while some have come here illegally, we need to strengthen security at the border to keep this from happening.

*She and most Democrats and some Republicans, Will Hurd of Texas and others have stated that a "wall" is a waste of money and will not deter immigrants from coming, it is technology and more man power that is needed at the borders for security.

2.) Currently on Pelosi Website: "We will continue to work toward a comprehensive solution, for our countries broken immigration system and we will never stop fighting to ensure that America remains a land of opportunity for those who work hard, abide by our laws and dare to dream."

It has been proven that Russia meddled in the American election and plans to meddle again. It is important as American's to make sure that we verify where the information comes from so that we don't spread the Russian agenda.
