Trump Tried to Buy German Coronavirus Vaccine Firm

As the German lab, CureVac, owner visited Trump at the White House recently to talk about cooperation in making a COVID-19 vaccine, POTUS offered the owner a large sum of money to get exclusive access to the vaccine the Germans are creating, as reported by Die Welt. The company has sites in Frankfurt and Boston. Trump tried to convince the German CEO to move the vaccine development to Boston and to create the vaccine for only Americans!

Germany's Health Ministry confirmed with disgust that Trump tried take over the German lab to insure the vaccine would be made in the USA, not Germany. The German government responded by offering CureVac to develop the vaccine in Germany. The U.S. Ambassador denied this had happened as he tried to dismiss the report

The amount of money POTUS offered was a staggering $1 billion dollars to buy the vaccine to be used only by Americans. CureVac is currently a leading firm creating a viable vaccine for the whole world. The Trump administration has provided seed money for over 25 research labs to create a vaccine.

Germany was greatly offended by the Trump offer and called it, "off the table" and stated that Trump will do anything during the American reelection campaign and that Germany is not for sale. Lastly, Germany retorted, " The American regime has committed an extremely unfriendly act. Capitalism has limits".

What does this say about Trump? He would say he made the offer in jest, or, in behalf of the American people to protect them but not disclosing that he would benefit personally. His supporters would be all for it, but those who do not think that way, will condemn it and another reason to vote him out of office.
