Un-Americans

Good Morning, Breakfastpoppers. Today is Monday, February 20, 2017. Our French friend, Ant Antoine, is at the table this morning. He has prepared fresh chocolate croissants for our morning pleasure. I have prepared French lattes for our sophisticated tastes. Antoine is completely digusted with the behavior of many Americans following the election of Donald Trump. It isn't just the paid protestors that he finds disturbing, it is people who should know better. Won't you join us for breakfast and a spirited discussion of the madness that is our reality these days? We hope to see you soon.

Thanks so much for joining us this morning. These days I have to admit that I take a tranquilizer before I turn on the news. The level of lying on mainstream channels is beyond disgusting. Fake journalists reporting fake news are now disrupting comments from those who think differently. They cut them off, shut them up and are behaving so unprofessionally that they don't deserve to pollute the airwaves. The news should be straightforward and vetted. Opinions should be kept to oneself unless the show is labelled an opinion site. I attribute a lot of this turbulence to a concerted attempt on the part of the Washington elite and other outside forces to keep our new president at bay and out of favor. Their ultimate goal, as expressed by the Dems, the libs and the totally clueless is to get him impeached. Shame on every single one of them. America is bigger than they are.

When President Trump says that the media is not his enemy, but rather the enemy of Americans he is right on target. Free speech has a price. Loyalty is dead. Patriotism is despised. The word Conservative is an anathema. Putting your money where your mouth is is abhorred. However, the Americans who put Donald Trump in office think quite differently, as does our new president. We believe in free speech, truth in reporting, love of country, common sense, national security, fairness, cooperation and peaceful protest. What is happening now is completely un-American. Violent protest, character assassination and betrayal are hideous. The mean spirited among us are not content with smearing our new president,. They want to take it further by trashing the First Lady and the First Family. This is not the America I remember. President Trump's presidency is in its infancy and he has done a very good job so far. He is doing his level best to keep his promises to the American people. He is to be admired for that. He needs to be given a chance to lead, and to deprive him of that is to be un-American.

Many factions are hard at work to ruin our new president. Members of Congress were already plotting his departure before he took office. They are now spending an inordinate amount of time trying to "get the goods" on him to force his impeachment. Impeachment is a long and arduous process, and it may take too long to suit their appetite for revenge. Instead, some are now exploring the use of the 25th amendment. The amendment covers ways to remove an incapacitated president. Some are calling for a psychologist to be installed in the White House to monitor President Trump's mental health. The truth is people like Schumer, Warren, Pelosi, McCain, to name just a few, should have their collective heads examined. A little mental health support should probably be extended to the campuses across the nation that are causing unrest, stupidity and guaranteeing that the next group of graduates will be dumber than the last.

We have a lot of work to do in this nation. President Obama made a mess out of everything from healthcare to racism. We need a man who knows how to get things done and that man is President Trump. The Dems must grow up and give him his cabinet. The Dems need to keep their mouths shut unless they have something productive to offer. The FBI should remember that they are here to serve the president, not to sabotage him. It is outrageous that the FBI suddenly released files going back four decades that concerned an investigation into the activities of President Trump's father. The case concerned housing discrimination and it was settled in 1975. Why release this stuff now? The FBI under Comey is a very political organization and that is dangerous and disastrous. To add unimaginable insult to injury, the intelligence community is withholding vital information from the White House over concerns that the information is being leaked. Who is in charge here?

It is hard to analyze the current behavior on the part of the left, the unemployed, the uninformed and the un-American. Is it possible that those in Washington are afraid of a successful Trump term? What if he brings this nation back to greatness? If he secures our borders, re-builds our military, helps our veterans, improves our cities, fixes our crumbling infrastructure, fixes our broken education system, brings back jobs and prosperity, reduces our taxes and lowers our deficit, all Americans will benefit, except for those who prefer keeping themselves in power than seeing our nation heal. Many of these people are entrenched in Washington, and they are on both sides of the aisle. They resent an outsider non-politician coming in, winning the election and turning Washington on its ear in a novel and refreshing way. To all of those people, both in government, and in the streets, I beg of you, love your country first, get out of the way and let America be great again.
