Unemployed In America | I'm Now UnEmployed

Updated on April 22, 2014

I lost my Job in July 2010

Well it looks like I am now a statistic. The Company Location has closed and I am now one of the unemployed. Actually my last day was last Wednesday but it has taken a week to really hit home. Sometimes the unknown can be very scary. It is very normal to feel uncertain. Will I find a job? What will we do if I can't find a job? Will unemployment be enough until I find new employment?

My goal in NOT to have to go on unemployment. I received a severance package so I will get paid for a month. I am really hoping that with my skills and delightful personality I will find something rather quickly or at least before September. Actually in the past I was always hired at the first job I ever applied to.So hopefully it will be pretty easy this time around.

When You are Unemployed, You Need to Remain Positive

But it is difficult to remain positive when there is so much negative talk about there and on the news. They say that more people claim unemployment everyday and that the number of unemployed is at the all time highest at 10%. And it's weird. It seems like everyone I talk to has a loved on who is unemployed or they are unemployed themselves.

I suppose all I can do is be positive and have faith. I believe that everything happens for a reason and I just need to hang in there. So I will keep applying for jobs and remember that the right job will find me. In the mean time, I am earning some nice income with my online activity. So this helps. I'm grateful for that.

Have you ever been Unemployed?

Update 11-3-10

I still haven't found a job yet but I am in much better spirits. I really helps to be a part of the Hubpages community. Hubpages gives me something to do in between looking for a job and of course the extra income doesn't hurt. My attitude is much better and I am feeling really good. I have a feeling I'll be back to work in no time.

I found a Job that I love!

Update 3-15-11

I ended up getting hired in Retail Management (my field) and I am really happy! I had to take a bit of a pay cut, but I can live with it. I just wanted to let you all know that if you are unemployed, don't loose hope. There are jobs out there.

Don't let anyone tell you its your fault!! Its not!! poor policys and greed...and a unfair tax structure!! Also China is undervaluating its currency to keep its people from aquireing to much wealth!! The Chinese government does not want the chinese people to be able to afford American made products!! Really I kid you not all!! Henry Kissinger Richard Nixon are also to blame with there closed door deals with the chines government!!

Henry Kissinger should be locked up forever!! for what he made happen between the USA AND CHINA!!
