Tevya is at the Stove

Good Morning, Breakfastpoppers. Today is Saturday, June 30, 2018. Our interesting friend, Wasp Tevya, is in the kitchen preparing potato pancakes for our enjoyment. Tevya is quite concerned about the growing viciousness of the left. Their calls for resistance have turned into calls for violence. Please join Tevya and me this morning for pancakes and a discussion about our current situation. We hope to see you soon.

The Core of the Matter

Thanks so much for joining POP and me this morning. Our nation is experiencing the wrath of the losers in the presidential election. There aren't that many of them, but they are quite vocal and visible. They are in Congress embodied in the likes of Chuck Schemer, Nancy Pelosi and Maxine Waters. They are in newspapers like the New York Times. Comedy has been destroyed and in its place is vicious, mean-spirited unfunny attacks upon our president and his family. They are on television on almost every station. Even Fox news, in the interest of being fair and balanced, gives the left a place at the table. Personally, I find it very painful to watch. Hollywood is crawling with unhinged pundits who feel it is totally okay to threaten anyone working in the Trump administration. It has become fashionable to refer to all this ugly behavior as Trump Derangement Syndrome, but I think something much worse is occurring. At the heart of this behavior is something deeper than just disagreeing with a candidate or a president. At its core is the stark reality that we have changed as a nation. Not all of us have changed, but enough of us have unleashed their "inner ugly", and it had to have been there all the time.

Source

A Sleeping Giant

Joy Behar didn't suddenly lose her mind when President Trump was elected. She had to have had all that anger inside of her all along, just waiting for the opportune moment to let it loose. The same has to be true of someone as deranged as Peter Fonda. His remarks about Barron Trump were uttered by a man who always had the capacity to be vicious. All he needed was a reason. All he needed was permission to go off the charts. He got that permission from the MSM. He got that permission from people like Maxine Waters. His ugliness bloomed because the seeds were always there. Now the climate in our nation is allowing people like Fonda to spout hatred and promote violence. He was a disaster waiting to happen, as are all those who continue to oppose this president in unimaginable ways. This isn't going to end well.

Source

Heads in the Sand

It isn't enough to tell people that they have to behave in a civil manner. Uncivilized people can't do that. When Sara Huckabee Sanders was kicked out of a restaurant, the woman who did that had no second thoughts or regrets. If Sanders were more like her, there might have been a violent outcome. Instead, Sanders left, even offering to pay. She behaved that way because that is who she is. The restaurant owner is no "Sanders". She is more like a "Waters", and she always will be. Candidly speaking, not all people are nice. Not all people have a decent side. Not all people regret bad behavior. Our nation isn't perfect, and it never will be.

Source

Consequences

The only deterrent to this really dangerous behavior is consequences. There have to be consequences, and they have to be imposed impartially and across the board. Roseanne lost her show over a tweet. "Sorry" didn't cut it for her, but for Behar, Waters, Whoopi, Fonda, Hillary, Bill and a score of others, there are no consequences. I heard that Fonda's film bombed at the box office, but that is either because it was awful or the public made him pay for his ugliness. The American people are waiting for consequences to follow on the heels of all the crimes being committed in Washington against this administration. The public is waiting for indictments and arrests. The public has grown weary of Congress acting like a toothless tiger. If you want bad behavior to stop it has to be addressed. The intern in D.C. who shouted a profanity at President Trump is still an intern in Washington. Inaction like that keeps the flames burning. If something positive doesn't happen soon, we will burn down our nation once and for all. Sorry doesn't fix the lamp!

Tevya's Song

Dear God,

Did you have to make so many lefties

It's no sin to be a lefty

But it's no great honor either....

The Dems are desperate. They are leaving Russia behind and now they are lying about the Supreme Court. Being a Dem must be exhausting. See you at the Inn.

The left wants to continue to divide our country but I don't understand why. If they believe their actions will bring them more votes they are mistaken our country is rising up against the left. Look at the way we voted in 2016. 2018 will not see the blue wave, for that I am certain!

Then the likes of Maxine Waters can go straight to he!! How can a representative to our congress talk like an activist? Oh yeah, I forgot her roots! Anyway I must get to the Inn....... see you there I love potato pancakes.....

      Good Morning Patricia,

Last night I saw a documentary about Denmark during Hitler's abomination. As a nation they were united in their protection of their fellow Jewish citizens. Unlike the Germans, the Danes rallied around the Jews and saved 90 percent of the Jewish population. It's a remarkable story, and it speaks to the fact that nothing would have turned the Danes into animals. See you at the Inn.

O my....it is time for us to wake up as a nation isn't it? We need to find a way to make peace with others and to work through the serious issues that face us. I totally agree that those who are spewing the ugliness did not just wake up the day President Trump was elected...it was there just waiting to come out...and just waiting for permission for it to spew. I pray for our nation....Angels are headed your way ps

      Good Morning ab,

The left makes so much noise that anyone just visiting would believe they were the majority. They are just loud and ignorant. Although they have the right to speak out, they should pay a price for lying. I have already given up paying any money to see them in the movies. I gave up my subscriptions to newspapers that are just instruments of misinformation and brainwashing. I truly wish we could turn them off completely, because their stupidity and anger is painful. The fools who march don't give a damn about the truth. In fact, they wouldn't know the truth if it slapped them in the face. Yesterday people on the beach were asked the significance of July 4th. They had no idea at all. That alone speaks volumes. See you at the Inn, ab.

      Good Morning brad,

I agree wth you. The Independent voter thinks things through, refusing to be brainwashed by politicians who are in love with the sound of their own voices. I will say that nothing will really change until the thought of electing someone like Waters is a really bad joke to voters. See you at the Inn. I love sour cream on my latkes, as well.

Hi Pop I am late to the table for the potato pancakes, but hopefully not for the table talk.

You are so right about the News Stations. Even though Fox News brings in both sides for fair and balanced discussion/debate...IF not for Donald Trump, Fox News would be the most hated of all! I guess because they haven't joined in on the big hatefest!?

That 'display' yesterday.....you know the one with the same people that show up for women's marches, pro-abortion marches, climate change marches, give-me-stuff marches......were as annoying, clueless and predictable as they always are!

High ranking Democrat Dick Durbin actually calling ICE "Incompetents"...do these people ever think things through?

      NO they do not!

Okay....did I talk long enough, are the dishes done ;-)

I love the potato pancakes topped with sour cream. It soothes and puts a protective pleasant bubble around the area. Unfortunately, once you stop eating, it is followed by the kinds of reality mentioned in your hub.

imho, the solution to fixing this is to make being a loyal party voter something not to be proud of today. It is the root cause of the congressional gridlock that has afflicted congress forever. How can we expect unification as in the word United, when the democrats and the republicans have diametrically opposed goals for the country and the people.

It is not possible to compromise when the parties goal are the opposite extremes, and the center has never been reached. When I was in high school, my history teacher told us to not vote row A or row B but vote for the best person that you think can meet your expectations.

The problem has been that the party selects the choices that they give you, and the other party does the same. So, it is always been voting for the lesser of two evils. If loyal party voters would become more independent, even register independent that would send a message to the party to give better candidates.

Can anyone tell me the benefit based on historical evidence how it is beneficial to vote row A or row B? Instead of us having that choice, it would be nice if we were row C and A and B had to come to us, then vice versa.

Voting for Schiff, Flack, Pelosi, McCain, or Waters is the enabler for this kind of rude and vile behavior. We can't change these behaviors as long as we keep rewarding them with reelections.

The media is also a biased one that needs to find itself at the center once again. Finally, Social Media needs to be corrected or eliminated. It is certainly not social today. It is more like the old West where the bad guy gets the town liquored up for a extra judicial hanging. They determine that justice, and they don't let facts or logic get in their way.

      Latkes, yummm

Well, I certainly agree with the overall tone of this....there is far too many anger in this country, and something has to be done. I will not turn to politicians to fix the problem. That's a fool's game. Instead I will try to channel my own efforts to be a better citizen and human being.

      Good Morning Lori,

The left in Washington and the media are whipping up the uninformed in the population. They bounce from false issue to false issue because they don't have a platform or a leg to stand on. Truth, integrity and decency are out the window, because this is who they are. It's a mob mentality. See you at the Inn. There won't be any lunatics there,

I had not heard Fonda's comments about Barron so I looked it up. I cannot wrap my head around such a vile comment about anyone, but to say it about the child of a president you hate is so heinous. Underage children of politicians, particularly for a president's, should be hands (and mouths) off. Barron Trump is not responsible for what his parents do or don't do. To be maligned just because one hates the president. I appalled at the things said against that poor sweet boy from before the election even.

To weigh in on Maxine Waters comments to the left after the restaurant is disgusting, but it's very interesting that she would say such a thing because just a short time ago black people were ordered out of restaurants, public bathrooms, buses, stores, etc. etc. As a black woman she has made a disconnect from that horrible treatment of black people. It's not okay for people to mistreat black people by banning them and all other forms of persecution, but it's okay to do it to people who support a president you're not behind. If I was a restaurant owner and any prominent political figure or celebrity whom are on the other side of the aisle came to dine, it would never, ever cross my mind to kick them out of my business for being on the other side politically. If they behave like law abiding citizens and enjoy my service then okay.

Joy Behar is such an angry person. She has no filters and feels free to malign people on the right because they disagree with her. I remember when she and Michele Collins on the View made horrible comments about Carly Fiorina's looks. On an interview of Fiorina, Behar and whoopi both justified it all because they are comedians (not in my book) and all candidates were fair game, among other things. It would be a whole different thing if it is was Behar, whoopi or the other co-hosts were public insulted for their looks.

That show keeps going because people have an insatiable hunger for drama, and hot button issue arguments. It would at least be fair if they had more than one token conservative on their panel. I like whoopi's movie's too. She's a great actress, but she and Behar are ungracious, arrogant, and full of self-importance. I was proud of Fiorina's responding with dignity and not getting down in the mud with her insulters.

Leave innocent kids out of the fray people. That's cruel and could scar the children for life. I have to barf. See you at the Inn...that is if I agree with your political views.

I so hope their horrid behavior works against them in the next election. There is no excuse for their behavior. Why didn't all those Hollywood actors leave the country like they said they would? They are hippocrites. I fully agree with everything you wrote. I am so disgusted and concerned for the future of our country.

Maxie Waters has a 4.3 million dollor home and her family is 10 million richer since she took office. How do these people with no money go to Washington and get filthy rich in a few terms? That is a good argument for term limits. I signed a petition this morning to have her kicked out of congress.

Too late for breakast but I am heading to the inn.

I know it’s hard to keep a proper perspective on these times when the media and the left go apoplectic and that’s exactly what made them lose power in the last election nationwide on every level. Just remember they are a minority. Behaving as they are isn’t going to help them one bit other than to boost their egos thinking they are doing something, anything to hurt Trump (possibly the only president in decades who is putting America first, ahead of himself and our enemies) and in reality all they are doing is putting the final nails in their coffins.

Nobody really wants to vote for people whose only platform is hate.

If something positivedoesn’t happen? Positive things are happening every day in the Trump administration and all the rest from the left (and Republican never Trumpets) is just apophenic noise. The protests and rants by Democrats and the left are early stages of delusional thought as self-referential, over-interpretations of actual facts border on hallucinations.

In this country, unlike third world countries where left wing propaganda and tactics flourish, the apoplectic left will never prevail and the more they try the more reasoned people will see through their deceptions.

Just watch this next election blue wave fizzle into a blue bird of rejection. Why? Two supreme ct appts, a booming economy, tax relief and a country where 70 percent in polls now say the country IS on the right track.
