A proposed nuclear plant threatens
a local fishing village with eviction.

This will be theft, not progress.
All the coffee houses where the people sit and drink and chat
in the quiet you'll hear them say
'did you hear the news to day ?
A Bad Idea
The plunderers don't need us
anymore,
they have a scheme.
A bad idea
to pretend to help us with our fear,
then send us off
to work in jobs
that have no rights,
that will not last,
well not for long.
They'll grab our land
then fill our lakes.
They don't need us
They don't need us fishermen,
2,000 jobs we will lose.
Do you think all this is wrong?
is it progress ?
Such democratic sleight of hand,
Questions asked,
answers changed.
Inside out,
upside down.
All our lives
re-arranged.
'Another coffee please.'
In the quiet,
the plunderers say
'We're not bad,
just want the land,
do you think that we are wrong?'
This was said in a hostile way.
As we listen then answer this,
'if this is progress
it is wrong,
nuclear plants
are all the rage.
Rage is madness
simple fact, this is wrong.
No heroes here !
Just vermin in the night,
making children sick
creating terror then pretend
the light they give, is our friend.
A silent killer ghost.
A nuclear silence.
Then comes the end.
Our feet are dying
from the blight.
No need for food.
no need for shoes.
A few more days
to understand
before we're taken from this land.
Another coffee please.
Shush! just be quiet
if you'll listen, you'll hear them say
'leaving World come this way.'
